“Huh?”

Theresa’s eyes widened, her mouth slightly agape.

“A-A-A-A-A Herrscher?!”

Seeing Theresa’s completely bewildered disbelief, Sirin suddenly remembered something.

She quietly released her control over the Honkai energy inside her body.

The next second, Theresa and the members of the Snow Wolf Squad snapped out of their shock.

They could now truly feel the unfathomably terrifying surge of Honkai energy emanating from Sirin.

Instantly, every single one of them tensed up in sheer panic.

“You…

you really are a Herrscher.”

Theresa’s expression turned extremely complex.

But soon after, something seemed to click in her mind.

“Mm-hmm, of course!”

“I am the Queen of Space, the Herrscher of the Void—Sirin.”

Sirin looked down at Theresa imperiously.

“Then why haven’t you killed us?

And why have you stayed in Siberia all this time?”

Theresa stared intently at Sirin.

Her sudden barrage of questions caught the Snow Wolf Squad completely off guard.

None of them understood what Theresa was trying to get at or why she would ask such a thing.

Because after Theresa carefully recalled everything Sirin had done so far, a bold realization struck her—she might actually be able to convince Sirin to join Schicksal!

Yes, Theresa genuinely wanted to recruit Sirin, a Herrscher, into Schicksal.

After all, Sirin didn’t seem to have committed any terrible atrocities.

Although she ambushed Theresa and the Valkyries of the Snow Wolf Squad, she hadn’t killed a single person.

Plus, she had been quietly remaining in Siberia.

Besides, hadn’t Welt, the 1st Herrscher, joined humanity to fight for mankind?

If so, then Sirin, the 2nd Herrscher, could do the exact same thing, couldn’t she?

As long as they could convince Sirin to join humanity and Schicksal, mankind’s odds of defeating the Honkai would increase significantly!

“Sirin, although I don’t know what happened to you before or how you became a Herrscher, I believe you must still carry human memories and feelings!

Isn’t everything around you the ultimate proof?

You and all these people here are humans, aren’t you?”

“I know this world isn’t perfect, but as long as we stand united, we can definitely make this imperfect world a better place!”

“So, I hope you’ll join humanity and fight for all that’s beautiful in the world!”

Theresa spoke with burning emotion.

Hearing Theresa’s words, the members of the Snow Wolf Squad were deeply moved as well.

Fighting Honkai Beasts everywhere—wasn’t that precisely to fight for all that’s beautiful in the world?

For the homeland behind them, and for everyone’s happiness!

“Heh…

Beautiful?”

Sirin suddenly burst into laughter. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

The Queen’s Imperial Guard could barely contain their rage at Theresa’s brazen nerve!

To them, asking their majestic Queen to join humanity and fight for some foolish “beauty” was nothing short of an insult and a direct provocation to her sovereignty!

They possessed formidable power, endless lifespan, and immortal bodies!

They were far above low-life humans!

However, Sirin lightly raised her hand, stopping the Imperial Guard maidens who were already drawing their energy blades.

“How amusing…”

“You want me to join humanity?”

“That’s right!

Sirin, you—”

Before Theresa could finish her sentence, a sharp snap of fingers echoed through the hall.

SNAP!

Instantly, boiling blood erupted from right beside her, splashing all over Theresa.

Theresa froze completely.

She turned her head mechanically, only to see a body cleanly sliced into two halves.

Patricia Highsmith, a core member of the Snow Wolf Squad.

Her corpse collapsed right in front of Theresa, crimson blood staining the jewel-encrusted carpet below.

“Patricia!” Shubb screamed out in horror.

“Why?!”

Theresa stared at Sirin in total disbelief.

“This is my answer to you!”

“Humanity?

In my eyes, you are nothing more than a swarm of ants!”

Sirin gazed down at Theresa with cold indifference, like a supreme Queen looking down upon a mere insect.

“Beauty is merely a fleeting sensation.

Only reality is eternal—and reality is never…

beautiful!”

“The reason humans yearn for heaven is because they live in hell!”

In the world of Honkai, beauty had never existed—neither in the Former Civilization nor the Current Civilization, let alone in reality.

Countless people had perished for their ideals and the so-called beauty, yet in the end, nothing ever changed.

“And you’re nothing but a fool.

A canary raised in a golden cage by Otto, completely oblivious to the truth.”

Sirin’s words struck Theresa like a bolt of lightning.

“N-No, that’s not true!”

She desperately tried to refute Sirin’s claims, but Sirin cut her off before she could say another word.

“Hmph.

You aren’t even worthy of listening to grand speeches!

And I’m not in the mood to waste my breath on you!”

Sirin sneered, waving her hand to teleport Theresa right in front of her.

“I heard you were fused with some kind of Honkai Beast?

Sirin chuckled softly.

She then directly teleported Theresa’s brain into a burning star inside the Imaginary Space, incinerating it to absolute nothingness and leaving behind only an empty physical shell.

No matter how fast Theresa’s regeneration was, her brain tossed into a star would still turn to ash!

Sirin preserved Theresa’s body solely to control it, waiting for an opportunity to backstab and capture Cecilia.

Even if Theresa’s body eventually regenerated a brain, it would never be the original Theresa anymore!

It would merely be another entity possessing Theresa’s appearance and perhaps a few fragmented memories!

Next, Sirin glanced at the remaining members of the Snow Wolf Squad.

With another wave of her hand, she swallowed them all into the Imaginary Space for complete assimilation.

To Sirin’s slight surprise, she picked up a spatial energy fluctuation coming from Shubb-Niggurath of the Snow Wolf Squad, as if she were attempting to warp away.

Unfortunately, it was completely useless.

As the Queen of Space, Sirin smoothed out the spatial ripple with ease and dragged Shubb into the Imaginary Space.

“Some kind of alien?” Sirin wasn’t entirely sure about this red-haired Valkyrie’s secrets; she had only vaguely heard random rumors about aliens.

Either way, she didn’t care.

Once fully assimilated by the Imaginary Space, all secrets would be laid bare.

“Bella, are you ready to hatch?”

Sirin contacted Bella mentally.

“I am ready, My Queen!” Bella’s voice resounded in Sirin’s mind.

Bella was fully prepared to break out of her giant shell.

When Schicksal’s forces arrived, they would witness the birth of a true, colossal dragon.

Meanwhile, at Schicksal Headquarters…

Amber, Otto’s secretary, suddenly felt a sharp, piercing pain in her chest, as if she had lost someone deeply important to her.

Otto immediately noticed Amber’s anomaly.

“What is it, Amber?” he asked.

“Overseer…” Amber clutched her chest in confusion and distress.

“My heart…

it hurts so much.”

“It feels like…

someone very important to me just ceased to exist.”

Otto was stunned for a moment.

Then, a sudden, horrifying possibility flashed through his mind.

“Could something have happened to Theresa?!” Otto panicked.

“Contact the Schicksal task force immediately!

We move NOW!”

“…Yes, sir.”

Amber had wanted to point out that the troops weren’t fully mobilized yet, but she swallowed her words.

Shortly after, a massive fleet of Schicksal forces scrambled urgently toward Siberia.

…

“Theresa and the Snow Wolf Squad backstabbing Cecilia together…

Mm-hmm, things are gonna get real interesting.”

Ren silently lit a candle for Cecilia in his heart.
