“Hmm, so boring.

None of the recent new games are interesting at all.”

In a livestream room on a certain pink video website, the famous content creator “Black Cat” let out a big yawn, stretched, and waved at the camera.Full novel: Honkai Impact 3rd: Kiana Fell for Her Own Parallel Self — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Let’s call it a day here, everyone…”

Before she could finish, the previously sparse chat suddenly became lively.

“Black Cat, don’t go!

Go take a look!

MiHoYo released a PV for Honkai: Star Rail!”

“It’s called ‘Interstellar Journey’!

It seems like the server is about to open!”

A PV?

Black Cat perked up, her hand, previously poised to end the stream, stopping mid-air.

As a veteran “Captain,” she paid close attention to any new game from MiHoYo that carried the “Honkai” prefix.

“Oh?

Let’s go take a look then.”

She sat up straight, followed the chat’s instructions, and typed “Honkai: Star Rail, Interstellar Journey PV” into the search bar.

The video was found quickly, and she clicked play.

A burst of ethereal, pleasant music flowed out.

[Quack quack quack, quack quack, quack~]

The scene opened with a purple-haired woman with a mature and mysterious temperament skillfully shuffling a deck of cards.

Her movements were elegant and rhythmic.

Finally, a card was gently tossed, flipping and freezing in place—it was the logo for “Honkai: Star Rail.”

The preceding content was similar to the original Interstellar Journey: the male and female protagonists with eyes closed, Himeko flipping through a book, Teacher Dan Heng releasing maple leaves, the silly March 7th, and the Astral Express Crew appearing together in Belobog…

However, in the very next scene—

The scene that was supposed to be Rin running on the snowfield had been changed.

The scene turned into a “family portrait” of the Astral Express Crew.

Pom-Pom the Conductor stood in the very center, with the protagonist (whose face was somewhat blurry, making it hard to distinguish their specific gender), March 7th, and Dan Heng on the left.

On the right were Welt and Himeko, holding a coffee cup with an elegant smile.

And right beside Himeko…

Black Cat’s pupils suddenly contracted, and her finger slammed the pause button.

There, a young girl sat quietly.

She had long, smooth, silver-white hair cascading down, with fine bangs covering half her face.

Her exposed side profile had delicate lines, and one azure blue eye gazed gently at the camera, yet it seemed unfocused, carrying a fragile, hazy feeling.

She sat in a wheelchair with a thin blanket over her knees.

Her posture was serene, forming a subtle contrast with her companions who were standing or crouching around her.

“Holy crap!

Tuna?!”

The chat exploded instantly, with countless question marks and exclamation points flooding the screen.

Although her hairstyle and temperament were vastly different from that familiar “Tuna,” the iconic hair color and the extremely similar facial contours were enough to make every “veteran Captain’s” DNA go wild.

“Is it really Tuna?

No, it seems a bit different…”

“The point is the wheelchair!

She’s sitting in a wheelchair!”

“Case closed, this is a future wheelchair character, I’m going to pull for her!”

“Kiana?

Why is Kiana in Honkai: Star Rail?

I haven’t heard any beta testers mention this!”

Black Cat was also full of shock and confusion.

She considered herself well-informed, but this wheelchair-bound “Kiana” seemed to have appeared out of thin air.

But shock aside, an unspeakable excitement and sense of familiarity instantly welled up.

“Whatever!

This temperament, this face…

Since it’s Tuna, I’m pulling for her!” Black Cat declared decisively.

“Don’t rush, Black Cat, there’s more!”

“The heavy hitters are still coming!”

The chat reminded her one after another.

Black Cat suppressed her excitement and continued playing the video.

The subsequent content seemed to return to the “right track.” Until the PV ended, nothing that the chat could call a “heavy hitter” appeared.

The mature purple-haired woman appeared again.

She held a card between her fingertips, wearing a mysterious smile, and flicked her wrist gently.

The card spun as it flew out, and the close-up shot focused on the face of the card.

Printed on the card was another figure that made the “veteran Captains” widen their eyes instantly.

The purple-haired girl was floating in the air, her smile carrying a hint of danger and madness.

Although there were some changes in her attire and details, that appearance…

“Sirin?!!”

The Astral Express traveled through the boundless universe.

Inside Selene’s room, she was looking at the system interface that only she could see; the popularity value was jumping and rising at a slow but steady speed.

Although the single increase wasn’t large, considering that “Honkai: Star Rail” hadn’t officially launched in that world, being able to achieve such results just from a PV fragment was already far beyond expectations.

“Kiana and Sirin…

The response seems pretty good.” She whispered to herself, the corners of her mouth curving into a faint arc.

She subconsciously wanted to stretch her somewhat stiff back—this action was still a bit strenuous for her at the moment, serving more as a symbolic relaxation.

Just then—

[Ding-dong—]

The crisp sound of the doorbell rang, interrupting her train of thought.

“Hmm?

Please come in.” She composed her expression, returning to her usual gentle and calm demeanor.

The door slid open with a “whoosh,” and a pink figure rushed in like a gust of wind, frantic and impatient—it was March 7th.

“Sister Selene!

Help!

Let me hide!” March 7th patted her chest, looking terrified, her eyes filled with panic.

“Sister Himeko has started inventing a new creative special coffee again!

She’s grabbing everyone on the Astral Express to taste-test it!

Dan Heng has already fallen, and I’m next!”

She spoke at lightning speed.

As soon as she finished speaking, her gaze swept through the cabin and locked onto her target—the clean, soft bed behind Selene.

“Excuse me!”

Before the words had even faded, she had already lunged to the bedside, nimbly lifted the blanket, and “slid” right inside.

She didn’t forget to carefully tuck in the edges of the blanket, wrapping herself tightly from head to toe, leaving only a suspicious, slightly heaving lump on the bed.

The entire sequence of actions was smooth and fluid, taking less than three seconds.

Selene: “…”

She turned her wheelchair, looking at the “the thief protesting his innocence” lump on the bed, unable to laugh or cry.

March 7th seemed to think that as long as she couldn’t see outside, the people outside couldn’t see her either, completely unaware of how obvious she looked.

“Could this be…

the legendary ‘covering one’s ears to steal a bell’ style of hiding?” Selene chuckled and shook her head, her tone carrying a hint of imperceptible doting.

This child, March 7th, had been unsealed from the Six-Phased Ice, lost all her memories, and transformed from a “frozen beauty” into the lively and cheerful “beauty” she was today; the first person she saw was Selene.

Perhaps it was a fledgling complex, or perhaps something else, but March 7th had always been very close to this gentle but physically challenged sister.

She often ran over to chat, helping with small tasks she could manage and taking care of her.

Selene also cherished this pure closeness.

She was just thinking about whether to remind March 7th that this hiding method wasn’t very clever, or perhaps just help cover for her—

“Knock, knock, knock.”

A slow and steady knocking sound rang out, and then, the door was gently pushed open.

Himeko, wearing an elegant long dress and holding a coffee cup with suspicious bubbles, appeared at the doorway with an impeccable, perfect smile on her face.

Her gaze first landed on Selene in the wheelchair, and she nodded gently.

Then, as if inadvertently, she swept her gaze over the obviously unnatural “lump” on the bed.

“Good afternoon, Selene,” Himeko said in a soft voice.

“Have you seen March?

I have some new coffee recipes and would like to ask her to taste-test them and give some feedback.”

The lump on the bed stiffened imperceptibly.

Selene met Himeko’s gaze and glanced at the self-deceiving lump on the bed again, a hint of helpless amusement flashing in her eyes.

It seemed that the Astral Express was still very “lively” today.
