The livestream exploded when countless players, controlling their newly awakened Pioneers, first caught sight of Selene up close.

“Wow! This model! The art team at Masaurus has evolved again!”

“Hey! I don’t have a son like you! Mind your manners!”

“Broken Iron Worm! That gaze, that aura… let me study this carefully!”

“Heh heh, another masterpiece for the 3D section.”

Black Cat’s livestream was no exception.

Controlling Xing, she deliberately moved left and right around Selene, surprised to find that Selene’s gaze in the game actually followed the protagonist’s movements.

That gentle gaze seemed to pierce through the screen and land directly on the player.

“Her eyes actually follow the character the whole time? Such attention to detail!” Black Cat exclaimed.

She mischievously moved Xing behind Selene, wanting to see if there were any special interactions.

“Huh? Why are there only dialogue options?!” she complained, a little disappointed.

“She’s in a wheelchair. Why didn’t they design an interaction where you can push her wheelchair? That way I could push my wife Selene into the little dark room on the train, and then hehehe…”

“Moderator! Get her!!”

“Black Cat, something’s wrong with you!”

“This isn’t the bus to kindergarten! Let me off!”

“You have triggered prohibited language. Please keep the stream civilized.”

A bright red system warning instantly appeared in the center of the livestream.

“Hey, hey, hey! I was wrong, moderator! Just kidding! Just kidding!” Black Cat immediately changed her tone and became obedient.

“Let’s continue with the story! Let’s continue with the story!”

“Good job, moderator! Selene is obviously my wife. How dare she spread rumors!”

“You have been banned by the moderator.”

Comments:

“It’s getting dark in here, everyone!”

Black Cat said smugly,

“I can’t beat the moderator, but I can still beat all of you, right?”

The story continued.

When Selene personally fed Xing, the comments section exploded once again.

“Ahhh! Feeding play! She really loves me!”

“March is jealous! Sorry, March. I’ll make it up to you after I marry Selene!”

“March: There’s a homewrecker!”

When the Herta puppet teased Selene about “being this brat’s mom,” the chat was instantly flooded with countless “Mom!” comments.

The story progressed until Xing had to follow the navigation to Herta’s office.

Before leaving, Black Cat deliberately controlled Xing to walk over to Selene one more time.

“Wife, I’ll come back as soon as I finish this part! Wait for me!”

“Scumbag behavior!”

“I’m begging you, that’s my wife!”

“Draw your sword!”

Black Cat laughed and controlled Xing to Herta’s office.

However, before she could trigger the dialogue with Herta, the chat was suddenly filled with messages telling her to check her mailbox.

“Mailbox? Didn’t I already claim all the pre-registration rewards and launch bonuses?” Black Cat wondered aloud, but she still casually opened the in-game mailbox.

Sure enough…

Among the system mails was a brand-new message with a light golden border.

The sender was—

Selene.

“Ohhh…”

The livestream chat instantly exploded.

“Holy crap! A server-wide mail?!”

“It really came from Selene?”

“1600 Star Jade! A free ten-pull! And 10 Fuel! Mom, I love you!”

“Selene! My goddess!”

“To live up to Selene’s blessing,” Black Cat rubbed her hands together, her face full of anticipation.

“I’ll show everyone how to get Seele in a single ten-pull. No pity, no buildup—just pure luck!”

She immediately opened the Warp interface, selected Seele’s banner, exchanged the newly acquired 1600 Star Jade for Star Rail Special Passes, and excitedly pressed the ten-pull button.

The tickets streaked across the screen.

Accompanied by a melodious whistle, the Astral Express slowly arrived amid brilliant blue engine flames before coming to a smooth stop.

Pom-Pom stood at the entrance as though welcoming her.

Then—

Just as the train stopped and Pom-Pom started running—

A dazzling golden light burst across the screen.

“Gold! It’s gold!!”

“Holy crap! It actually happened?!”

“What a lucky bastard! I’m reporting this!”

“Paid actor! Definitely a paid actor!”

“I actually got a five-star! Did everyone see that?! This is Selene’s Blessing!” Black Cat excitedly slapped the table.

The animation continued.

A golden halo slowly spread outward.

A figure appeared.

It wasn’t Seele as expected.

Instead…

A timid little red-haired girl wearing an oversized coat appeared on the screen.

A notification appeared at the top.

[Destruction – Clara]

The livestream fell silent.

“…”

“…”

Finally…

A comment broke the silence.

“Streamer… based on my less than an hour of experience playing Honkai: Star Rail… if you get Clara, you should just reroll.”

“Whew… you scared me to death. I really thought Black Cat had insane luck.”

Faced with a flood of comments telling her to reroll, Black Cat immediately fought back.

“I think Clara is really strong, okay?”

“And besides…”

“She’s adorable.”

“Don’t you know that cuteness is justice?”

“I don’t.”

“Black Cat actually wants to cry, but she can’t do it on stream.”

“No way!”

“Rerolling is what the weak do.”

“I’m strong!”

“Just watch me clear everything with Clara!”

(This would become the best decision Black Cat ever made.)

…

After gently pushing Selene back to her private room aboard the Astral Express, March 7th let out a long sigh of relief, as though she had just completed a major mission.

“Phew… finally back.”

“Selene’s room is so comfortable.”

She stretched lazily.

Her eyes swept over the large bed covered with soft blankets.

They immediately lit up.

Without the slightest hesitation…

She threw herself onto the bed.

She happily rubbed her face against the pillow.

Almost instantly…

Her breathing became slow and steady.

She had fallen asleep.

Selene maneuvered her wheelchair to the bedside and looked at March 7th, who had curled herself into a little ball beneath the blanket, sleeping soundly without a trace of vigilance.

A helpless yet doting smile appeared in Selene’s eyes.

“This child…”

She gently shook her head.

Her voice was so soft that it was barely audible, as if afraid of waking the sleeping girl.

She understood.

Although March 7th was always cheerful and energetic…

She had just survived the crisis at Herta Space Station.

The emotional ups and downs had exhausted her.

Perhaps…

Selene’s room was the place where March felt safest.

After confirming that March 7th was sleeping peacefully, Selene slowly maneuvered her wheelchair to the window.

Beyond the observation glass…

Space was completely silent.

She gently closed her eyes.

Her consciousness slowly sank inward.

Within her mind…

The system interface quietly appeared.

The return on investment…

was truly remarkable.
