Kal’tsit’s fingertips tapped lightly on the data screen, and the silver Path energy flowed like fine sand, archiving the physical examination reports of Himeko, Welt, and Dan Heng one by one.

Her cat ears twitched slightly, keenly capturing the subtle fluctuations of the imaginary tides outside the window.

“Hmm?” She raised her head; through the porthole, a piece of Six-Phase Ice about two meters high was floating silently, a faint shadow vaguely visible deep within the ice layer.Full novel: Honkai: Star Rail: Kal’tsit, the Astral Express Doctor — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Wow, Doctor Kal’tsit!” Mon3tr swallowed the last bite of the Pom-Pom pie, pointing its finger outside the window, “Is there a person inside that piece of ice?”

Its voice carried a child-like curiosity, but its body had already instinctively pressed close to Kal’tsit, a vigilant micro-light shimmering across the dark green crystal surface.

Kal’tsit narrowed her eyes, the white light of the medical room casting a stern shadow on her face.

“… Go notify Himeko.” She gave a brief order while pulling up the external scanning program of the Astral Express.

Mon3tr nodded, its figure instantly turning into a stream of emerald-green particles, passing through the carriage wall straight to the Observation Car.

Himeko was intently stirring a cup of viscous liquid with a bizarre color, suspicious bubbles occasionally emerging on the dark brown surface.

“Hmm? Conductor Pom-Pom, would you like a cup of coffee?” She looked smilingly at Pom-Pom, who was trimming the green plants.

Pom-Pom’s ears perked up abruptly, and the scissors gave a “snap” sound, cutting off innocent branches and leaves.

“Ah, haha, no thanks, pom! The Conductor still has… still has compartment dusting work to do, pom!”

It stuttered as it took two steps back, the fluff on its Tail completely standing on end.

Himeko sighed regretfully: “Sigh… Dan Heng and Welt drank coffee once last time, and ever since then, they hide from me every time I brew coffee.”

Pom-Pom’s mouth twitched, the tragic scene of last week flashing in its mind—Dan Heng rushing into the medical room clutching his throat, Welt holding the wall with a pale face, and Mon3tr transforming directly into memory qi to escape back to Kal’tsit’s Memory Spirit Space.

It muttered softly: “That’s not a matter of ‘deliciousness’ at all, pom! Only Passenger Kal’tsit can drink it without changing her expression, pom…”

Just at this moment, Mon3tr’s particle stream reorganized into a humanoid shape in front of Himeko, and it pointed at the porthole: “Himeko, there is an abnormality outside the window.”

Himeko put down her coffee cup, her gaze passing through the observation window and falling on the huge Six-Phase Ice floating in the universe.

Deep within the ice layer, a curled-up figure was faintly visible.

“Six-Phase Ice? There seems to be a person inside.” She frowned slightly, her fingertips unconsciously rubbing the rim of the cup.

Kal’tsit walked to her side, her gaze calmly sweeping across the ice layer.

“Mhm, I will have Mon3tr salvage it onto the Astral Express.”

Before her words finished falling, Mon3tr had already pushed open the airlock of the Observation Car, its slender figure leaping out.

Its arms stretched out in the void, and the Path energy condensed at its fingertips into translucent chains, entangling the edge of the Six-Phase Ice.

As its wrist retracted, the huge ice crystal was steadily dragged into the carriage, falling heavily onto the floor in the center of the Observation Car, and the chill instantly permeated the air.

Just then, the carriage door slid open again—Welt and Dan Heng walked in one after the other.

Dan Heng was carrying a metal briefcase in his hand, casually setting it in a corner.

“Hmm, what is this?” Dan Heng’s gaze fell on the ice crystal, his brow slightly raised.

“Six-Phase Ice.” He quickly came to a conclusion, his fingers gently touching the ice surface, and the chill spreading along his fingertips.

Mon3tr returned from the medical room, holding a thick blanket in its arms.

Kal’tsit took the blanket and casually rubbed its head.

Mon3tr narrowed its eyes, lowering its head slightly like a cat being smoothed down, the corners of its lips unconsciously curving into a satisfied arc.

Everyone gathered around the Six-Phase Ice, silently gazing at the blurred figure inside the ice layer.

Suddenly, a fine crack split across the surface of the ice crystal.

Snap—

Fine ice crystals peeled off, melting into water droplets that slid down.

The ice layer melted at a speed visible to the naked eye, gradually revealing the young girl inside—her long pink hair was wetly plastered against her pale skin, and she was curled up with her arms hugging her knees, like an unopened flower bud.

Kal’tsit’s gaze swept toward Dan Heng and Welt.

The two understood tacitly, turning around to leave the Observation Car with tacit agreement, their footsteps disappearing at the end of the corridor.

The Six-Phase Ice completely melted, and the pink-haired girl lost her support and tilted forward.

Kal’tsit stepped forward, the blanket unfolding like wings to wrap her entirely.

With a sweep of her arms, she picked the girl up horizontally.

The girl let out an unconscious soft moan, her damp head instinctively burying into Kal’tsit’s neck socket.
