Inside the Astral Express, everyone stood up one after another as the fluctuations from the warp subsided.
Dan Heng also walked out from the Data Bank.
Himeko and Welt also stood up with smiles.
March 7th stood up while rubbing her sore bottom.
During the warp just now, she had been preparing to hold a horse stance to see if she could withstand the reactionary force of the jump.
Seeing the young girl rubbing her aching rear, it was obvious she had failed.
At this moment, they were preparing to return to the Space Station for supplies and to perform some repairs on the train.
Thus, they had Pom-Pom warp to a star system not far from the Space Station.
Not far from the station, there was a slowly rotating Blue Planet.
“For this warp back to the Space Station, the train needs a large amount of supplies.
Also, the train hasn’t been repaired in a long time; the task would be too heavy if left solely to Navigator Himeko.
So, I’ll be counting on the passengers of the Astral Express Crew this time.”
Pom-Pom said while looking at everyone.
March 7th was looking forward to it after hearing they could go to the Space Station to play.
Himeko and Welt nodded, while Dan Heng stated he would stay with Pom-Pom since there was no place that needed him at the Space Station.
Pom-Pom, a bipedal lifeform resembling a lop-eared rabbit.
The Conductor of the Astral Express.
“That won’t be necessary, Passenger Dan Heng.
You should go down as well.
It’s fine with just Conductor Pom-Pom here.”
“Hmm?
Something’s not right.
There seems to be something outside the train!”
Pom-Pom’s words immediately put the Trailblazers on alert.
Welt gripped the top of his cane, Himeko took out her suitcase—which contained drones used for attacking and cutting enemies—and Dan Heng drew his spear, Cloud-Piercer.
March 7th also looked outside with some concern.
Everyone saw a translucent sphere about a kilometer away from the train, slowly drifting toward them.
Fortunately, its speed was very slow.
“How do Uncle Yang and Sister Himeko plan to handle this?”
March 7th asked curiously, watching the unknown sphere slowly drifting outside the window.
From left to right: Stelle, Welt, Dan Heng, March 7th.
This is the Navigator of the Astral Express, Himeko.
“If we’re talking about the most stable method, it would naturally be to shoot it down.
After all, we don’t know what it is.”
Welt said as he watched the drifting sphere warily.
He suspected that Void Archives was up to something to annoy him again.
{Void Archives: The culprit who brought Welt across the Star Gate to the world of Honkai: Star Rail, and also the First Divine Key of the Previous Era.
It can personify itself and mimic various Divine Keys to attack enemies, though its power is less than half of the original Divine Keys it simulates.}
Void Archives, an enemy who was kicked off the train by Pom-Pom, and also the First Divine Key that has been thoroughly ‘marinated’ by Otto.
“This is an Observation Scope; it can help Uncle Yang see exactly what that is.”
The reliable Dan Heng brought an Observation Scope and handed it to Welt.
Welt nodded gratefully to Dan Heng, then used the scope to look at the translucent sphere drifting toward the train.
As Welt looked through the scope at the sphere…
Everyone noticed that the usually reliable and calm Welt suddenly stiffened, and then inadvertently crushed the Observation Scope.
The fragments fell to the floor, causing Pom-Pom to glare at Welt in dissatisfaction, as everyone knew Pom-Pom was a neat freak.
However, everyone noticed Welt’s troubled expression.
He stared at the drifting sphere in shock, his face showing a rare panic and disbelief that they had never seen before.
“No, this is impossible!”
Welt pressed against the window in distress, staring intently at the sphere outside.
“Does Uncle Yang know something?
Is it an enemy?”
March 7th asked worriedly.
“It seems only Welt can give us the answer.”
Himeko said helplessly while looking at Welt.
This was the first time she had seen Welt show such an expression of disbelief.
“No, it’s not an enemy.
Or rather, it’s an old friend so familiar that I couldn’t be more acquainted with her.
I didn’t expect her to come to this world.”
“Conductor, prepare to open the door.
I’m going out to retrieve that sphere.”
Welt spoke solemnly to a bewildered Pom-Pom.
Hearing this, Pom-Pom looked at the others, and none of them objected because they were also curious about the sphere—curious about who was inside that could make the usually mature and steady Welt show such a face.
“Alright, everyone please sit in your seats to prevent being sucked out by the vacuum.”
Once everyone was seated on the sofa and bolstered by the Power of Trailblaze, Pom-Pom opened the door.
A massive vacuum suction roared, pulling at everything inside the train.
Strangely, however, a faint golden Power of Trailblaze emerged around the surroundings, preventing any items from being sucked out.
Welt leaped out through the open door and was sucked out.
Then, holding his cane-styled Star of Eden, he captured the sphere.
He tucked the sphere under one arm and quickly flew back into the train.
Pom-Pom hurriedly closed the door, and the terrifying vacuum suction vanished.
Just as everyone was about to crowd around the sphere, Welt stopped them from approaching.
He watched the sphere warily, standing ready.
*Pop~*
The sphere suddenly ruptured upon hitting the floor.
The oxygen and carbon dioxide inside dispersed, carrying a fresh and elegant fragrance.
The unconscious figure inside also made everyone’s eyes light up because she was very beautiful and cute.
March 7th looked at the petite unconscious figure with excitement.
“Bishop Theresa from my homeland…
I didn’t expect to meet her here.
I don’t know what happened on her end to make her appear in the vacuum of space.”
Welt adjusted his glasses and spoke seriously.
As an old acquaintance from Saint Freya and the former Sovereign of Anti-Entropy, how could Welt not know who the person on the floor was?
The Dean of the Far East Devil’s Den and Herrscher Academy, Otto’s granddaughter, Theresa Apocalypse!
“Mnn~”
Accompanied by a cute, childish sound, the adorable person on the floor opened her beautiful azure eyes.
She rubbed her eyes and looked around dazed, then her face filled with shock upon seeing Welt.
“Eh, Sovereign Welt?
Why are you here?
Where is this Bishop!”
“Where are Kiana and the others!”
Hua Ling, acting as Theresa, shouted at Welt in a panicked manner.
Let’s just call her Theresa from now on.
“Bishop Theresa, I believe I should be the one asking you that.
Why were you drifting in the vacuum of space, encased in a strange sphere?”
Welt questioned Theresa warily.
The others were very curious why this loli called Welt’Sovereign.’ That title sounded anything but ordinary, and they all guessed that Welt must have been a major figure in the past.
“This Bishop doesn’t know either.
My last memory is a black hole suddenly appearing beside me and sucking me in.
When I woke up, I found myself lying here.”
Theresa said dazed while looking at Welt.
Welt looked like he was having a breakdown; he hadn’t even gone back to the Honkai side yet, but people from there were already chasing him down.
He was truly at a loss.
“Don’t worry, everyone.
This is an old acquaintance of mine, Theresa Apocalypse.
You could say she’s an old friend.”
“Also, she’s over forty years old.”
Welt’s words were shocking enough to kill.
Everyone looked in surprise at the offended Theresa.
“Damn you, Welt!
Who are you calling over forty?
I’m only fourteen!
That’s right, exactly like that!”
Theresa glared at Welt and shouted in dissatisfaction.
Despite appearing brave now, Theresa was actually very panicked inside.
After all, she wasn’t the real Theresa, but had been turned into this by an Aeon with a wicked sense of humor.
