Stelle was utterly stunned.

The main reason she hadn’t resisted too strongly earlier was that she had mistaken Lin Li for her boyfriend from before her memory loss.

The key was that once she had this preconceived notion, searching for evidence with the answer in mind actually led her to find some ambiguous clues.Full novel: Honkai Star Rail: Who Says They’re Just NPCs? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Even some of Lin Li’s words, like “I’m used to it,” made her think they matched up.

After reaching this conclusion, she became less resistant to Lin Li’s intimate gestures.

After all, she believed these things had happened between them many times before.

Coupled with Lin Li’s skillful techniques, which brought her immense pleasure, she half-heartedly allowed his advances, tacitly accepting his liberties.

And now you’re telling me you’re not my boyfriend at all, and it was all just my wishful thinking?

So I just gave myself away for nothing?!

Finally realizing the truth, Stelle felt both angry and flustered, even a little amused.

Meanwhile, the guy named Lin Li across from her was already laughing uncontrollably.

Lin Li couldn’t hold back—from Stelle’s reaction, he knew he had guessed right.

Because Stelle’s status bar had changed to [Furious and Ashamed].

This status bar was quite useful.

Although not as intuitive as mind-reading, it roughly reflected the girls’ mental states.

The more he thought about it, the funnier it seemed.

What on earth had Stelle imagined to mistake him for her boyfriend before she lost her memory?

“Hahahaha!

This is too funny!” Lin Li laughed so hard he nearly doubled over.

This was the most unrestrained laughter he’d had since crossing over.

Real human Interaction was truly the best—how could puppets ever provide this kind of amusement?

“Stop laughing!

Don’t you dare laugh!” Stelle raised her small fist, pretending to hit him.

Pfft!

But before Lin Li could use [Interaction] to control her, Stelle burst out laughing herself.

The situation was so absurd that even she couldn’t keep a straight face.

“Hahaha, I can’t hold it in anymore.

But let’s be clear, I never said I was your boyfriend, nor did I lead you to think that way, right?”

He wasn’t wrong.

Stelle understood this, so her raised fist was only a threat to stop him from laughing, never actually landing.

Her anger was mostly directed at herself—how could she have been so deluded?

“Hmph, you’re no good person either.

If you’re not my boyfriend, why were you so hands-on?

What kind of decent person does that?” “Everyone appreciates beauty.

Stelle, you’re so lovely—it’s hard for me to resist.”

Sweet words sometimes worked wonders.

With just a casual compliment from Lin Li, Stelle’s mood brightened slightly.

But his next sentence made her roll her eyes.

“Besides, even though I wasn’t your boyfriend before, I could be now.” “In your dreams!” Stelle swung her fist playfully and turned to get off the bed.

She still felt sticky and needed a bath, or else it would feel weird.

But as soon as she turned, Lin Li pulled her back into his arms.

Stelle’s big eyes blinked, and she instinctively struggled but couldn’t break free.

Wrapped in his warm and comforting presence, she found herself unwilling to exert much effort.

She watched quietly as Lin Li’s handsome face drew closer and closer, until finally, his lips met hers.

Her lips were soft, carrying a faint, sweet fragrance unique to a young girl.

The delicate scent drifted into Lin Li’s nostrils, stirring his heart!

Stelle wanted to push him away—if you’re not my boyfriend, how dare you be so hands-on?

But the warm aura emanating from Lin Li was too comfortable, making her reluctant to pull away.

In that moment of hesitation, he pried open her lips.

Lin Li’s kissing skills were masterful and practiced—honed through countless NPC characters.

Stelle, a girl who had never even been in a relationship, was no match for him.

Under his pursuit and capture, her delicate tongue was seized.

Powerless to resist, she simply closed her eyes and surrendered to silent enjoyment.

And once again, she found herself indulging in it!

After having her boundaries crossed once before, such intimate acts like kissing and hugging no longer seemed entirely unacceptable to Stelle.

Though she claimed Lin Li wasn’t a good person, deep down, her impression of him was actually quite favorable.

Aside from the bonus points for his appearance and the positive first impression upon waking, Lin Li’s candid honesty was another significant plus.

As he had said, after guessing Stelle’s misunderstanding, he could have easily pretended not to know and claimed the identity of her boyfriend from before her memory loss.

With his skills and the advantage of that role, deceiving her would have been all too simple.

But Lin Li didn’t take the opportunity.

Instead, he honestly told her there was no such thing.

Sincerity is the ultimate weapon, and Stelle, at least, was deeply moved by it.

Though she hadn’t directly agreed to Lin Li’s proposal to become her boyfriend now, given the unexpected turn of events that had led to even more intimate contact, she thought, Why not just let him kiss me?

Just then, a shocked voice rang out, “What are you two doing?!”

Real World, Herta Space Station.

The Antimatter Legion had been completely defeated, and the station’s defense forces were cleansing the remnants.

Thanks to thorough preparations, the Voidrangers of the Antimatter Legion hadn’t even breached the space station’s gates before being utterly routed—a resounding victory.

In one of the station’s guest rooms, a group of people gathered around a bed where the gray-haired girl Stelle lay.

“I’ve checked.

The Stellaron inside her is stable, and her vital signs are steady and healthy.

There’s nothing wrong with her,” the Little Herta doll stated calmly.

“If she’s so healthy, why hasn’t she woken up?” The pink-haired girl March 7th stroked her chin, puzzled.

“She’s not unconscious; she’s asleep.”

“Huh?

Asleep?” March 7th’s brain short-circuited for a moment before she quipped, “She must have incredible sleep quality to not wake up through all this.” “It might be some form of deep sleep,” Herta shrugged indifferently.

“Hey!

Time to wake up!

The sun’s already up!” March 7th leaned down, cupping her hands like a megaphone as she shouted.

The girl on the bed remained motionless, her sleeping face serene and peaceful.

“That’s some seriously deep sleep.”

“Alright, little March.

Since Lady Herta says there’s no issue, let’s not worry for now.

The Express still needs to resupply, so we’ll leave her to rest without disturbing her further.”

Miss Himeko smiled gently, bidding farewell to Herta and Asta before motioning for March 7th to leave with her.

After the two members of the Astral Express Crew departed, Asta turned her gaze to the Herta doll.

“Lady Herta, has she also entered that world?”

“Yes, her condition is identical to when you entered the NPC World.

It’s likely the case.” “Then…

should I go check on her?” Asta tentatively suggested.

“Go if you want, but come back early.

I don’t want to deal with all those miscellaneous tasks!”

“Understood, I’ll just go take a quick look!”
