Well, Ultraman was a bit hesitant to speak now.

The reason was simple the relationship between Batman and Superman was too special.

The World’s Finest, official holders of the “bullet of true love,” with a level of tacit understanding where they could communicate with a single look and coordinate with a single gesture.Full novel: Hope In Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Even if this Batman was the Lego version, his plastic head was still packed with the basic settings of “Batman”.

What if he noticed something amiss?

While Ultraman was thinking about how to handle communication with Batman in the group, Jina’s message suddenly popped up on the screen.

[Jina]: Everyone!

Help!

An anomaly has appeared in my World, there are zombies!

And what’s even more terrifying is these zombies can talk, they seem to have intelligence!

Ultraman’s pupils shrank suddenly.

Talking zombies.

Intelligent zombies.

Ultraman’s brain instantly recalled all the comic book settings he had read before crossing over DC’s Zombie Universe, Marvel’s Zombie Universe.

Those viruses could infect even superpowered individuals, and even gods couldn’t escape.

After infection, they retained their intelligence, superpowers, and even their ability to speak…

Despite his hesitation, Ultraman picked up the S-suit again.

[Mami Tomoe]: Don’t worry, Jina, I’m on my way!

[Superman]: Leave this matter to me.

The two messages popped up almost simultaneously.

[Jina]: Thank you, everyone, sorry to trouble you…

I’m really scared!

…

Going back a few minutes in time, Jina walked out the door.

The purple energy shield in the sky above the street was still glowing faintly, enveloping the entire block in an eerie hue.

Then she saw those figures.

With tilted heads and dragging steps, they slowly shuffled out from the end of the street.

They wore ordinary clothes: office workers’ shirts, housewives’ aprons, students’ tracksuits.

But their movements were exactly like those seen in previous zombie works stiff, twisted, like broken-stringed puppets being yanked back up.

“I think I smell a living person.”

“Look, there’s a girl over there!”

“Hehe, can we finally eat meat?”

Jina froze on the spot.

They spoke.

Those decaying lips moved, and their vocal cords made raspy, slurred sounds, forming complete sentences.

Zombies could talk.

Her brain took a full two seconds to process this information, and then her body reacted before her thoughts did.

Jina turned and rushed back into the room, slamming the door shut, locking it, and bracing her shoulder against it.

Not enough…

Jina gritted her teeth, pushed the shoe cabinet against the door, and dragged a chair over to jam the doorknob.

After doing all this, Jina’s legs felt weak.

She leaned against the wall, panting heavily, her fingers trembling so much she could barely type.

The scene from moments ago kept flashing in her mind—those things were talking, discussing, and purposefully searching for prey.

“Calm down, calm down.” Jina told herself, her voice trembling.

“Hurry, contact everyone!”

Then she opened the Chat Group.

The group system notifications popped up almost simultaneously: Superman, Mami Tomoe, and Batman requested to enter the current World.

Jina did not hesitate and clicked approve one by one.

Her fingers were still shaking, but a part of her heart felt slightly more at peace.

…

Ultraman opened his eyes.

He was standing right in the middle of a street.

The architectural style around him, the shop signs by the roadside, the air conditioning outdoor units on the distant residential buildings they were all the most familiar sights from before he crossed over…

domestic street scenes.

“Is this crossing over to another World…”

A voice came from beside him.

Ultraman turned his head and saw Mami Tomoe.

She was wearing the Mitakihara Middle School uniform, clutching that golden Soul Stone in her hand, looking around with wide eyes.

There was panic in her eyes after all, being suddenly thrown into a completely unfamiliar World but even more so, an uncontrollable curiosity.

“Excuse me, are you Mr. Superman?” Mami looked up at the tall man in front of her.

A sunny, resolute face and a gentle gaze, perfectly matching the reassuring voice from the group chat.

“My secret identity is Superman.”

Mami also smiled, a smile that was different from her usual polite smiles more genuine, more relaxed.

“Nice to meet you, my name is Mami Tomoe, and I am a Magical Girl.”

Ultraman nodded, then looked down at his feet, where there was some movement.

A Lego figure, the size of a finger, with a black plastic cape and the iconic pointed-eared cowl, was standing by his feet, looking up at the two giants.

Facing two humans dozens of times larger than himself, Lego Batman showed no expression of surprise or fear.

Instead, he pulled out a scanning device larger than his entire body from somewhere and scanned the surroundings with a series of beeps.

“Pfft—” Lego Batman made a strange puffing sound and kept his head down, scanning.

Ultraman averted his gaze from the plastic figure at his feet.

“Let’s leave the small talk at that. Let’s go find Miss Jina.”

Mami nodded, clutching the Soul Stone a little tighter.

“By the way, Miss Mami Tomoe, can you fly?”

Mami shook her head, looking a bit embarrassed, and said, “Sorry, I usually use ribbons to assist with my movement.”

“In that case,” Ultraman held out his hand, palm open, his tone as natural as if he were suggesting they cross the street together, “for ease of movement, please hold my hand for now. I can carry you as I fly.”

Mami looked at the hand, hesitating for a moment.

“Is holding hands all it takes? Um… won’t we be affected by inertia and other things?”

Ultraman smiled.

“Don’t worry, my bio-electric field will automatically cover you. There’s no need to worry about that.”

The bio-electric field this was probably the most scientifically inexplicable ability among all those Ultraman had obtained since coming to this World.

After absorbing specific energy, a Kryptonian’s cells release an invisible force field.

This field can extend to objects they are in contact with, preventing a falling airplane’s wing from snapping off when grabbed, or preventing a person held in their arms during high-speed flight from passing out due to the speed.

With just a single finger, they can bring a plane to a steady stop on the ground without worrying about reaction forces or inertia.

This ability, which defies common physical laws, is precisely why Superman, unlike the sensationally popular character Homelander, never had to fear facing a falling airplane.

Although Ultraman is Superman’s inverted counterpart, he still possesses the bio-field.

Mami didn’t fully understand, but looking at that hand, she chose to trust.

She placed her hand into his broad palm.

Ultraman gently clasped it, bent down, and used his other hand to scoop up Lego Batman, who was still scanning with beeps, placing him on top of his own head.

“Let me go, Superman! Even if you’ve grown giant, Batman can still defeat you.”

Lego Batman seemed to have strong objections.

He had just said something and was preparing to jump down

In the next second, they vanished.

It wasn’t teleportation; it was just that the takeoff speed was too fast, so fast that even the sound of the wind couldn’t catch up.
