“This is the entrance to the biggest market of the wizarding world?” David asked with a surprised look on his face.

It was not the scene in front of him was that awe inspiring or marvelous, rather, it was the lack of it.

rustic pub, was simply that underwhelming, it frankly didn’t even need magic protecting it, with how that shabby it looked, no one was entering it anyway.

“Well since it’s supposedly magical, I think it looks shabby on the outside but is actually lavish from the inside.” I tried to defend, although I knew that wasn’t the case.

Professor Flitwick did not reply, and just had a wry smile on his face, The Leaky Cauldron didn’t really leave the best first impressions…

As we entered the pub, we were once again forced into silence.

The pub was…

filthy, ugly and definitely not something we were used to, for god sakes, We were Billionaires, probably only the Malfoy in Magical Britain could rival us.

Considering that the Forbes listed Malfoy wealth at about 2 and a half billion dollars, and if we were to convert our wealth into dollars, it was about the same, or maybe a bit more.

I felt really understanding for Draco at this moment, I mean, sure you guys are poor, and the Leaky Cauldron pub is definitely not poor with that kind of traffic.

But why do you wizards, who can clean everything with a simple cleaning spell, or just buy a slave (house elf) to do it for you, live in such filth.

You deserve being discriminated against.

“Well… not as magical as I thought it would be…” Emilia commented, teasing me, she knew I was acting but still took the chance as soon as she got one.

“Umm, don’t worry, although the Leaky Cauldron is a bit shabby, it’s purposely done so as to not attract attention. Once we enter Diagonal alley, you will surely be amazed.” Professor Flitwick said embarrassedly.

“Why do Wizards even hide from normal humans?” I asked tentatively, although I knew the reason from the movies, since this was a merger world, there was sure to be more to it. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

“Ministry of Magic guidelines, to upkeep the statue of secrecy. Remember little Damien, once you become a wizard, you cannot show off your magic in front of Muggles, it is a punishable crime.” And no useful reply appeared.

I could do nothing but simply nod earnestly at his words.

“Good morning, Professor Flitwick, taking a new student to get his supplies, I see.” Tom the barkeep said with a grin on his face.

“Ah yes, Tom, Good morning to you too. I was just here to take little Damien for his shopping.” professor Flitwick said with a smile but did not stop for more chatting and moved towards the backyard of the pub, soon reaching in front of a wall.

“Remember the password, tap the third brick from the dustbin, going up, and two bricks across.” Professor Flitwick said and tapped the said bricks with his wand.

And as he finished, the bricks started to rearrange themselves, forming a large arched gate.

“Welcome, to Diagon Alley.” said professor Flitwick with a wide smile.

It was like stepping into a single themed cosplay party, which was hosted back in the middle ages, completely different from the modern world outside, it gave off the feeling of time travel.

“Wow… it certainly is impressive.” Emilia said a bit excited.

“Should we head to the bank first? To exchange the currency.” David asked professor Flitwick.

“Ah yes, Gringotts is right up ahead.” The professor said and trotted ahead.

The Gringotts bank looked exactly as it did in the movies.

Actually, everyone up until now looked exactly as the did in the movies.

Tom the barkeep was the same, Flitwick is the same, even the Leaky Cauldron was the same.

Entering Gringotts, we could see goblins stretched in rows both sides busy in work, some were inspecting gems, some were reading documents, but none of them even lifted their head to look at us.

“Not exactly the best reception services…” Emilia pouted.

Professor Flitwick did not seem to mind her words and approached a desk, and said, “We would like to apply for conversion from pounds to galleons for a new wizard.” You are reading on novelping(.)com, the official source.

The Goblin looked up, and nodded, “Professor Flitwick, another new student? You know the procedure, here, take the form and fill it.” the goblin looked at us and said.

“Excuse me, please. I would like to open an account here. And I would also like to exchange gold into Galleons.” David said moving forward.

His words instantly changed the expression of the goblin, greedy by nature, the mere mention of gold was enough to draw their attention, even the goblins sitting at the nearby desks were looking towards us.

“Yes, Gold exchange is highly appreciated, if you are changing enough amount of gold, the cost of setting up an account would be waived. Could you please tell me how much gold would you like to exchange?” The goblin asked with a smile, which was…

very disturbing.

David smiled and moved forwards, placing the suitcase he had brought with him onto the table, and opened it.

Inside were bricks upon bricks of gold, stacked neatly.

There were a total of forty bricks, each weighing five hundred grams, a grand total of twenty kilograms of Gold.

The eyes of the Goblins practically dazzled as they looked at the gold, if they weren’t afraid of ruining their reputation, they might have already stolen it.

Professor Flitwick sighed quietly, he had anticipated something like this happening, Damien’s family was far too rich to play by the rules.

“We will calculate it as soon as possible, and you are eligible to have one of the highest security vaults at Gringotts, at the regular monthly rate, of course. Lord?” The Goblin said humbly, practically mumbling the part about the monthly rate, and had already handed over the suitcase to another goblin for weighing.

“David Whitmore. But open the account in my son’s name, Damien Whitmore.” David said with a smile.

“Of course, Lord Whitmore. And considering that you wish to exchange twenty kilograms of Gold, the total will come off to, thirty thousand galleons. Would you also like to exchange pounds into galleons as well?” The goblin system was fast, but looking at that accurate thirty thousand, we were sure that the goblins had taken some commission.

“Sure…” David said and handed five crisp hundreds to the Goblin.
