A bodysuit…

person?

Lynn’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at Eugene, who had grown significantly taller, marveling inwardly at the sight.Full novel: Hunter x Hunter: Card Master, The World’s Strongest — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

This was clearly Eugene’s Nen ability.

It seemed he could transform into a “bodysuit,” enhancing his strength by having another person “wear” him.

Despite their brief time together, everyone could tell that the siblings were polar opposites in both personality and physique.

This ability was undoubtedly designed to compensate for their individual shortcomings, creating a “1+1 is greater than 2” effect.

It solved Eugene’s lack of physical power and addressed Delian’s timid nature.

This…

was exactly how Lynn understood the synergy of Nen abilities.

Many people’s Nen abilities possessed distinct strengths and weaknesses.

If one could find another Nen user whose ability complemented their own, their combined cooperation could unleash power far exceeding that of the individuals.

To Lynn, the two most attractive aspects of Hunter x Hunter were these:

First, the vast and boundless world.

He could still remember the shock he felt when he first learned that the entire Six Continents were merely islands in the middle of a lake called “Lake Mobius.” The world-building of Hunter x Hunter was immense; a place roughly the size of Earth was just a small archipelago on a lake.

Beyond that massive lake lay the Dark Continent, thousands of times larger, filled with countless unknown, mysterious, dangerous, and coveted existences.

Second, the bizarre and varied Nen abilities!

There was “Bandit’s Secret,” which allowed the user to steal others’ Nen abilities if certain conditions were met, and “Hide and Seek,” which could create a dimensional space just by placing a hand on an object.

These peculiar Nen abilities were the second thing that fascinated Lynn.

Typically, the more powerful a Nen ability was, the more restrictive its conditions became.

Therefore, in a sense, a battle between Nen users was an “information war”—a contest to see who could decipher the opponent’s secrets first.

Of course, this was assuming the gap in raw power between the two wasn’t too insurmountable.

“Three!”

“Two!”

Inside the hollow ice cavern, Eugene’s countdown echoed.

Seeing that the others remained indifferent, his gaze grew increasingly cold.

In his entire life, what he hated most was being looked down upon!

Since childhood, people had constantly compared him to his sister.

She grew faster and was much taller than him.

As the older brother, he had seemed utterly useless.

Over time, he developed a warped psyche, but in truth, he lacked self-confidence.

This was why he had developed a Nen ability that borrowed the strength of others.

[Borrowed Power Bodysuit]—that was the name of his ability.

By altering his form to become a bodysuit and having another person “wear” him voluntarily, he could completely control the other person’s body to fight, utilizing their strength as well.

With this Nen ability and his incredibly strong sister, he possessed power that didn’t originally belong to him, merging the strength of two into one.

More fittingly, because his sister Delian was timid and simple-minded, her Nen ability was of the Enhancement type, named [It’s Fine as Long as I Don’t Move].

As long as Delian did not actively move, her total Aura and its intensity would continuously rise.

Even when wearing his bodysuit, the effect would still trigger…

because inside the suit, his sister remained in a state of unconsciousness.

Combined, his fused state was invincible!

Many people had looked down on them in the past, but in the end, they had all died beneath his fists!

Eugene firmly believed today would be no exception.

Two counts had passed.

Nothing happened.

“One!” Eugene almost roared the final count.

Still, no one on the field moved, which completely incensed him.

“Very well!

Not a single one of you takes me seriously!” Eugene laughed out of pure rage, the veins on his forehead bulging and his smile twisting into something hideous.

His bloodshot eyes scanned the room, passing over Sluke, the twins…

and finally, the last to join, Lynn.

He had already made his decision.

With a sudden stomp, the ground—composed of ice and silt—first cracked like a spiderweb before abruptly collapsing.

In the blink of an eye, he crossed dozens of meters, appearing instantly before the brothers Maggio and Magis.

He was surrounded by a towering aura, his hair standing on end like a god of slaughter.

Sluke was merely a support-type Nen user, and “Franklin” was a low-level Emitter; both were existences he could easily crush.

Only these twins were a bit troublesome.

With that thought flashing through his mind, Eugene immediately launched an attack on the twins.

His speed was staggering!

Ending things quickly was his usual style.

Delay only invited complications, so he ended every battle with thunderous force.

He first utilized [Ren] to mobilize a massive amount of aura, strengthening himself in every aspect.

Combined with his formidable physical stats, with aura as the primary force and his body as the supplement, the result was a terrifying display of power.

There were two twins, and his first target was the older brother, Maggio.

At this moment, if anyone else were to use [Gyo], they would see the Aura on Eugene’s body flowing wildly, his right fist encased in a horrifying amount of aura as if he were holding a ball of light.

For this strike, he had concentrated approximately 40% of his total aura into his right arm.

He was going for an instant kill right from the start.

This was [Ryu] and [Ken], the advanced applications of Nen!

If the “Four Great Exercises”—Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu—were the foundation of Nen, then the advanced techniques were the evolved skills: Gyo, In, En, Shu, Ken, Ryu, and Ko.

[Shu: An application of ‘Ten’ that allows the user to extend their aura onto an object they are touching, reinforcing that object’s properties.] For example, coating a stone with Shu would increase the stone’s hardness.

Eugene had used this technique moments ago to kill the blonde man, Shado.

[Ken: An advanced application of ‘Ten’ and ‘Ren,’ where the user coats their entire body with a much larger amount of aura than usual to strengthen their overall offense and defense.]

[Ryu: A technique used to adjust the amount of aura in specific parts of the body to change its offensive and defensive power.]

These two were the most practical of the advanced techniques and were often used simultaneously, primarily to distribute aura for better combat efficiency.

Faced with such a soul-shaking moment, the expressions of Maggio and Magis showed no surprise.

They had long expected Eugene to pick them as his first targets.

After all…

if the roles were reversed, they would have made the same choice.

Therefore, they were already prepared, maintaining an [En] centered around their bodies.

[En: An advanced combined application of ‘Ten’ and ‘Ren’ that extends the aura outward from the user in a circle, allowing them to detect any intruders within the aura’s range.] This technique involved expanding the aura more than two meters from the body and maintaining it for more than a minute.

The range of En varied depending on a person’s skill, but En was not a definitive measure of a person’s overall Nen level.

If one were to compare this to the power system of One Piece, [Ken] was similar to Armament Haki, while [En] was similar to Observation Haki.

Being prepared made the encounter much easier to handle.

Maggio crossed his arms over his chest, concentrating a significant amount of aura onto them, ready to take the blow head-on.

Boom!

In the flash of a second, the massive right fist slammed into Maggio.

Eugene’s pupils constricted.

He had hit his mark, but the result wasn’t what he had anticipated.

Maggio, consuming a large amount of aura, steadily blocked the punch, only stumbling back half a step.

Immediately after, a sinister smile appeared on his face, and his hands gripped Eugene’s right arm with extreme speed, preventing him from pulling away.

He had lured the enemy in deep!

Swish—!

On the other side, the younger brother, Magis, seized the opportunity.

In a nearly seamless transition, he swung his fist directly at Eugene’s head!

The sound of the wind shearing was sharp.

The aura wrapped around this punch was significant; being hit by it would definitely be painful.

Dammit!

At the critical moment, Eugene erupted with a massive surge of aura, forcibly breaking free from the restraint and retreating violently in the opposite direction.

He crouched low, staring deathly at the twins.

In that moment, Eugene suddenly realized that he wasn’t the only one who had been confident!

He had underestimated the strength of these twins; they had been hiding their true capabilities all along.

I only share the most exquisite and beautiful novels.
