Two cards!
The first card, the Galala Giant Crocodile Meat, was the agreed-upon reward and possessed a B- rank quality.
When he got back, he would have to have Capone find a top-tier chef to prepare it; he couldn’t let such a piece of meat go to waste.
Lynn then shifted the bulk of his attention to the second card, his eyes flashing with excitement.
This was the first A-rank card he had ever obtained!
The only slight drawback was…
it was a Transaction Card.
Compared to the other three types of cards, Transaction Cards were a tier lower in utility because they required specific conditions to be met before a reward could be harvested.
However, flaws could not hide the jade’s luster—the effect of this A-rank Transaction Card was still formidable.
Toriko had signed a long-term order with him, allowing him to submit gourmet food once a month with no time limit.
In theory, he could submit items an infinite number of times.
As long as he could satisfy Toriko, he would have a steady stream of rare delicacies from the world of Toriko.
The most difficult part, however, lay right there: he couldn’t guarantee that he would always have a special ingredient like the Slurck available for trade as he did today.
From now on, he would have to rely on a bit of luck.
The Six Continents also possessed many unique ingredients and delicacies, which had even given rise to the branch of “Gourmet Hunters.” Perhaps with enough effort spent collecting food, he could still keep Toriko interested.
Fortunately, Toriko himself had a bold and generous personality, unlike some villains who were both malicious and stingy.
Lynn suspected that as long as the submitted food wasn’t too poor, Toriko would likely hand over some gourmet treats as a reward just as a matter of course.
Snapping back to reality, Lynn opened his status panel to admire it.

…
After this period of accumulation, the total number of cards he currently owned had reached ten!
To him, cards were synonymous with strength; every additional card meant another layer of confidence.
He had ten cards now, but if he managed to reach a hundred, what realm would his strength reach?
Would he be a match for Netero?
Or perhaps surpass the Chimera Ant King?
Maybe even something higher?
After a moment of longing, Lynn began to scrutinize himself once more.
Ten cards seemed like a lot, but in reality, they didn’t represent as much of an immediate boost as one might imagine.
There were two Character Cards.
However, Capone Bege was busy managing the business and would only be summoned when truly needed; usually, only Chopper accompanied him.
There were four Ability Cards.
Among them, the effect of [Alchemical Synthesis] was to combine two C-rank cards for a chance to produce a B-rank card, but since his current number of cards was so low, it was essentially useless for now.
As for the newly acquired [Substitute Strawman], its utility was primarily in survival—a “break glass in case of emergency” type of ability.
There were three Item Cards.
The [Pokemon Egg] had yet to hatch and served no purpose for now.
The [Galala Giant Crocodile Meat] was merely an ingredient; once eaten and used for a boost, it would be gone.
As for the Transaction Card, it went without saying that it offered no direct help in combat.
Overall, his current combat methods still relied on the [Six Powers] and [Ice-Make Magic], with the [Doppelganger Puppet] item as support.
Furthermore, the Rank evaluation on the panel did not include Character Cards or Item Cards; it only considered Ability Cards.
Therefore, he was still technically B- rank, though his actual power would be higher if all cards were factored in.
So, while ten cards looked impressive, after excluding auxiliary cards and those he couldn’t use yet, he only had three or four cards he could actually rely on in a fight.
But Lynn wasn’t discouraged; his growth rate was already excellent.
By following this steady path of development, his future was bright!
Once he finished cataloging his gains, Capone Bege had finished processing the pile of treasure…
without exception, everything was tucked away into the castle.
With that, his journey to the Cruz Snowy Mountains had come to an end.
He had originally come here for a vacation and to obtain cards.
Now that the cards were in hand and he had gained a bounty of unexpected surprises, there was no reason to stay any longer.
Lynn wasn’t in a hurry to rush to his next destination; he planned to follow Capone Bege back to Yorknew City.
Firstly, he wanted to see how the organization was developing and whether he could be of any help.
Secondly, he needed to find a great chef to cook the Galala Giant Crocodile meat.
Thirdly, he needed to find a couple of “unlucky fellows” to set up his Substitute Strawman.
Survival work had to be finished before he went back to traveling—after all, safety first.
…
Yorknew City.
This widely known “Mafia City” had recently experienced a minor stir.
A new mafia family named “Capone” had emerged, rising to prominence in just over a month and securing a place among the second-rate gangs.
It was said that the leader was remarkably powerful and acted with ruthless decisiveness, which allowed them to establish a foundation in such a short time.
A few days later, in the lavishly decorated hall of a high-end villa in Yorknew City, the atmosphere was one of opulence and grandeur.
Lynn sat on a leather sofa, leaning forward slightly as he stared in silence at the items laid out on the coffee table.
Beside him, Capone reported in a calm tone: “The treasure brought back from the Ice Labyrinth has been appraised.
The conservative estimate is 1.5 billion Jenny.
If it goes to an auction house, it might fetch even more.”
“Mm, I’ll leave the handling to you,” Lynn said absentmindedly.
Compared to those “odds and ends,” the remaining items were the true heavyweights.
Three items sat on the table: a crown inlaid with Liquid Titanium—one of the Seven World Wonders—a wooden carving resembling a skull, and a rusted ancient sword.
These three were the most valuable items among the hoard.
Especially that crown.
The mere mention of the “Seven World Wonders” was enough to make any item sell for an astronomical price; every word was practically worth a hundred million Jenny.
Lynn estimated that the value of the crown alone likely exceeded the combined total of all the other treasures.
I only share the most exquisite and beautiful novels.
