This is a brief guide to the cultivation system used in the Mortal Realm. The system begins with the familiar Xianxia cultivation structure, but as the story progresses, it will gradually develop its own rules, concepts, and paths.

Q: What is the Human cultivation path?

A: Humans cultivate spiritual energy through the following major realms:Full novel: Hymn Of Death — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Qi Condensation → Foundation Establishment → Core Formation → Nascent Soul → Soul Transformation → Dao Formation → Spatial Tempering → Ascension

Qi Condensation normally has 9 levels, although certain exceptional individuals may possess a deeper foundation.

Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, Nascent Soul, and Spatial Tempering are divided into:

Early → Middle → Late → Peak

Soul Transformation contains three phases:

Soul Formation → Soul Transformation → Mortal Severing

Dao Formation is divided into:

Early → Middle → Late

At this stage, understanding of Laws and Domains becomes increasingly important.

Q: Do beasts follow the same cultivation system?

A: Not exactly.

Beasts use a Level system, with each Level having:

Early → Middle → Late → Peak

Their levels roughly correspond to the human cultivation realms:

Level 1 — Qi Condensation

Level 2 — Foundation Establishment

Level 3 — Core Formation

Level 4 — Nascent Soul

Level 5 — Soul Transformation

Level 6 — Dao Formation

Level 7 — Spatial Tempering

Level 5 contains the same three phases:

Soul Formation → Soul Transformation → Mortal Severing

When a beast reaches Soul Formation, it must face a Heavenly Tribulation before it can obtain human form. Some survive. Some die.

Q: Do plants have cultivation realms?

A: Most plants don't.

Spiritual plants are primarily classified by Grade:

Mortal → Spirit → Earth → Heaven → Immortal → Dao

Each grade can be divided into:

Low → Middle → High → Peak

A plant's grade represents its quality, rarity, spiritual properties, and potential value. It does not automatically mean the plant possesses consciousness.

Q: What about weapons?

A: Weapons follow a similar grading system:

Mortal → Spirit → Earth → Heaven → Immortal → Dao

Each has:

Low → Middle → High → Peak

However, extremely rare weapons can develop a Weapon Spirit.

A Weapon Spirit is not a weapon grade. It is a rare phenomenon that can occur when a weapon develops its own consciousness.

Unknown Existences

There are beings and powers in this world that do not fit neatly into the ordinary cultivation system.

Immemorial immortals?

Deamons?

Void beings?

Their origins, nature, power, and relationship with the existing cultivation system will be revealed gradually as the story progresses.

There are also rare existences and special paths that do not follow the established cultivation system. Their rules will be explained when they appear in the story rather than being revealed here.

This cultivation system is not final. It can be updated, expanded, or changed at any point as the world and story develop.

The system starts from the traditional Xianxia cultivation foundation, but it will gradually move away from the familiar path and develop into its own cultivation system and world.
