The glass was broken sending shrapnel inside the car aiming at Grim who raised his arms to cover his face in time while keeping his eye outside to locate the source of trouble.
Frank stared outside with a sinister smile. "Do you want me to handle it?"
What greeted his question was the bang of a kick opening the door.
Grim stepped out of the car facing a barrage of protestors roaring with immense hatred.
"Born to be monsters forced to be nobles."
"The Lords drink wine while the commoners bleed. We won’t be dying for your fucking greed."
"You might own the mill but we are born with iron wills that can’t be killed."
The screaming suddenly paused seeing Grim stepping out. Many eyes locked onto him filled with ill intent.
"Here it is... One of the parasites who is drinking our blood."
"Bastard!"
"You son of a bitch!"
Along with countless curses stones were hurled at Grim one after another. They thought the stones would hit him hard but what they witnessed next shook them.
Grim walked through the barrage hurled at him while weaving and dodging the stones aimed at him. The dodged stones hit the car behind causing dents but Grim ignored them while wondering.
’How did the agenda of protest changed so quickly.’
"Hey you! Stop hiding!" he shouted pointing at the moustached man trying to hide in the crowd.
His loud roar drowned out the ongoing protest.
"Stop cowering back and step up if you are brave. Don’t hide now."
He walked on until he appeared before the man who straightened himself and glared at Grim.
"What’s your name? Mine is Grim!"
"Why do I have to tell you?"
"So that I can know who you are."
"I am Donald."
"So Donald, tell me why did you throw a stone at me?" Grim asked, narrowing his eyes at the man and trying to etch the man’s face into his memory.
"Everyone did."
"But you started it. No one was paying attention to me until you shoved your ass out to poke at me."
The provoked man shouted back. "So what?"
"You are all leeches who don’t give a damn. Driving a car bought with our blood. You have no right to enjoy the wealth generated from our hard work."
Grim inched closer and spat. "It’s not my fucking mistake that you were born in a sewer. Instead of throwing stones, why don’t you throw them at the Church and ask God for the reason he sent you into the house of peasants!"
"Ah!"
"Blasphemy!"
The entire plaza erupted in shock hearing Grim’s words and they stared at him like they were looking at some madman.
Grim turned around and asked. "What?"
"Did I say something wrong?"
"You are blaming me as if I’m the one who decided to be a noble."
"You... you..." Donald stuttered trying to come up with an excuse before saying.
"You could have renounced it."
Grim’s facial expression faltered as he looked at the man’s audacity to spew such bullshit.
"Yes you could have renounced it. If you have a bit of sympathy you wouldn’t have led your life as a noble."
Grim gazed around at the crowd in horror.
’The fuck! Is something wrong in their heads or are they messing with me right now!’
’No..Rather it would be insane if they were sane.’
’Bitches even lines up to support weirdos who kill their own child so how can this be impossible.’
"Are you insane?" Grim asked Donald who laughed.
"We are very sane unlike you nobles who suck our hard-earned money but it’s okay... Since you are here now, give us the goddamned money."
"Yes give us the goddamned money!"
"Yes give us back!"
"Give us back you moron!"
"Haaa!" Grim sighed pressing the upper portion of his nose between his brows.
He wasn’t a patient man. If this was his previous life he might have already crushed their heads. Being in a new world he tried his level best to be calm and patient.
But the mystery of suicide his family’s weird demeanor the bitch beating him and all those nuisances were now getting over his head.
Grim took a deep breath to calm himself. Then he stared at the man and looked behind him.
"Look what’s there?"
"Huh?"
"What?"
Donald turned around with a perplexed look followed by several others only to see the backs of people who were looking behind like him.
"There is nothing there!" saying this he turned back only to freeze.
Not only him the entire crowd went dead silent.
For a moment even the sound of breathing stopped as they spotted a cold muzzle pressing against Donald’s forehead. He started trembling violently as he swallowed his saliva.
"I hate it!"
"I hate it when some random shit jumps out of nowhere and annoys me so now tell me what should I do Donald?"
"You... you can’t shoot me. You can’t... The police won’t let you go!"
"The police won’t let you go... Ohh!" Grim smiled sinisterly.
"Did you forget who I am?"
"I am a damned fucking noble you dumbfucking piece of shit!"
"Hahahaha! Now die!" Grim roared and pulled the trigger.
BANG!
With a bang an immense roar filled the plaza causing the assembled crowd to run haywire and creating a wave of buzz and chaos.
There had been many protests but this was the first time someone had opened fire. The odd situation created panic that rippled across the plaza.
Amidst all the chaos Donald collapsed onto the ground in horror expecting an onslaught of pain but even after a few moments of feeling nothing he opened his eyes to see the wet spot between his legs.
He then stared up to see the cold stoic-faced man turning around with a snort.
"Next time you come to protest remember to bring a heap load of bravery or else stay at home."
He walked towards the car but before hopping in he turned around looking at a distant building and fired a few shots before stepping inside.
"Drive!"
A cold voice erupted as the car drove away. None of the people running around obstructed the car. Rather they avoided it like a plague.
Inside the car Frank stared back at Grim with a mischievous face. "Marvelously done Young Master!"
"Couldn’t have done better."
"Just shut up and drive instead of annoying me or else I’m gonna shove some bullets into your skull."
"As you wish Young Master." Frank chuckled.
....
While the car moved away and disappeared at the spot where the shots were fired a masked man hid away across the wall with a frantic expression.
"What!.. What was that?"
"Was it a warning?"
"But how did he find me?"
"Didn’t they say the Wargrave eldest was a waste who wasn’t able to go through the rituals? So how did he find me or was this a coincidence?"
"Coincidence or not I have a very bad feeling about it!"
Knowing that the eldest of Wargrave was a waste he wanted to provoke him to add more fuel to the fire but the moment Grim walked out of the car all his senses were screaming at him to run away as soon as possible.
This shocked him to his core. The warning from his senses came from the spirits who could transmit images of the past and future. This piqued his interest so he tried to test it.
Everything was normal until the man fired a shot at the building. He looked at the chips that were just a few inches away from him.
If he hadn’t hidden himself properly he might have died for real.
"I did what I was asked to do. It’s not my fault for the unexpected outcome." Saying this he disappeared into the alleyway
