Frank led him outside the estate through the back door.

They walked for almost half an hour in the pain-stricken hot sultry weather. On his way, Grim took a stare around the estate.

The mansion was quite large, like a huge ancient Gothic castle. Accompanying it was a large garden that had been carefully nurtured with various flowers.Full novel: I Became The Villainous Eldest Son Of The Duke — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He finally arrived at an old broken shed.

"She is inside. You may step in!" Frank muttered after opening the door.

Giving a faint nod he stepped in.

Darkness prevailed inside the shelter structure. The interior was quite disheveled and thatched with broken rugged debris around with left paddy growth.

It might be a place for horses to live but now abandoned for some reason with darkness lit by faint rays of light leaking through the broken roof.

"Where is sh-" He paused, noticing a faint flush of light emanating from the corner of the shed. It was quite faint and wasn’t discernible if not looked at carefully.

His heart became restless upon noticing it. ’No, don’t tell me...’

He quickly leapt forward and seeing the scene almost cursed.

"What is this?" He looked back at Frank who smiled.

"It’s the girl Young Master... Or is she perhaps not the one you wanted?"

"What did I order?"

Frank frowned noticing Grim’s face. It was as stoic as ever without any shred of emotion.

"You asked me to kidnap her Young Master!"

"I don’t remember properly. As you see I have gone through a few significant scenes but did I ask you to tie her?"

"Did I perhaps go overboard?"

Grim clicked his tongue in displeasure. ’Old man you went way overboard.’

On the ground was a young girl with silver hair and pale skin whose hands and legs were tied.If it wasn’t enough, she was blindfolded and even her lips were closed with a stuffed gag.

’Such a fine young lady. How can you be so cruel?’

Grim bent down to pull out the gag and opened the blindfold.

As he did the girl started flapping like a fish.

"ARGHHH!"

"Don’t come close to me..." She swayed and jumped around inching closer towards while looking at the two figures in horror.

"I will do anything you want but please don’t rape me please... please..." she pleaded with a hoarse parched voice.

Tears started to stream out from her eyes.

She had been kidnapped for the last three days and had been left here to rot without food and water.

Grim’s heart stirred at the scene.

The memory of his dead sister flashed in his eyes, but it disappeared the moment he properly saw the face.

A look of horror shone in his eyes as he traced the familiar outline.

’Fuck you!’

’Damn! Are you really so adamant about dying you shitty son of a bitch.’

The girl before him whom he thought of as some random woman turned out to be one of the main characters.

She was the renowned Saintess Silvia who was blessed with the Major Sigil of Light Lineage.

For every lineage there were two types of sigils you could get.

Major and minor.

Major ones were bestowed by the Gods who carried their blessings. They were even referred to as chosen ones who carried the inherent power while minor sigils were the ones people got by offering rituals to draw Gods to bless them but in such cases the quality of power was often quite low and came with certain restrictions.

’Wait so this is it?’

It was then he figured out one plot.

The game was quite realistic where though Grim died in most of the routes each of his ends was different.

One of which was playable characters coming for Silvia and killing him for kidnapping the girl.

He could have been saved if he had just kidnapped the girl but that bastard gambled the girl in the Den and was caught in the middle of a round of gambling.

’Disgusting... Absolutely disgusting.’

He turned at Frank who seemed to be looking at the drama with full curiosity.

"Frank go and fetch some light snacks and water."

Grim noticed a faint displeasure despite which Frank bowed and disappeared.

He didn’t know if that old coot had gone away for real but he decided to finish the task.

Turning around to the trembling Silvia he spoke.

"There has been some misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding?" Silvia muttered fearfully.

"Yes!" He nodded and explained.

"See I don’t have much time and I am myself in a pinch so listen carefully."

"I just ordered my servant to bring you here because your life is in grave danger."

"Wh... What?" Silvia spoke in a bewildered tone.

"Why is my life in danger?" she sounded skeptical. If anything she felt danger from this man.

"You are saying this because you don’t know who you are... You aren’t an ordinary girl but someone who awakened the Greater Sigil of Light Lineage. If you look at your back you will find that tattoo."

Silvia’s whole body trembled and she squeezed her back against the wall fearing that the man might tear her clothes to check her.

Her action thoroughly displeased him.

’Tsk... What am I a demon?’

"Girl."

"Yes!" Silvia stuttered.

"Stop irritating me. Do you think you are an angel of beauty?"

"You aren’t worth it in my eyes."

The words struck like thunder in Silvia’s ears making her instantly pale and she stood up in disbelief only to slip and fall down.

But at the same time she quietly breathed a sigh of relief realizing he didn’t seem to have that intention.

The more this was the case the angrier she became.

"You!?"

If not for the situation she wanted to ask, ’Am I really not good enough for your eyes?’

For some women appearance was tied to a woman’s sense of self and now it was thoroughly trampled by the cold wretched person.

She was about to speak but Grim raised his palm to stop her.

"Throw away all those useless thoughts and listen. People with greater sigils might be used as sacrifices so before anyone with bad intentions finds it out you need to visit the Church of Light. Only then can you protect yourself."

It was then a swoosh sound echoed and Frank appeared carrying the tray with a gleeful smile.

"Did I miss anything interesting?"

Grim ignored the comment and grabbing the tray saw soup and bread. Before giving it to her he took a scoop and a piece of bread startling the two.

He did because he was afraid of it being poisoned and when he consumed it he sniffed it a few times and even looked at Frank’s expression.

Finding nothing wrong in either, he handed it over to Silvia while cutting down the ropes.

"Eat this quickly and leave through the back desert."

Grim then tore off the brooch from his coat and threw it down.

"If anyone harasses you on the road, show them this badge and tell them that you are my maid and they will face incomprehensible consequences if they touch you."

The family might not be afraid but the world was afraid of him after all he was the Tyrant of Wargrave.

"Now finish and leave."

With those cold words he turned around to walk away but paused seeing Frank not following.

He looked back at him and asked, "What!"

"Do I need to give you special invitations?"

"Of course not!" Frank laughed and followed back.
