As for the layout inside, one glance was enough to remember the general setup.

It wasn’t exactly much to look at, either.

Tadayana and Isshiki even played a round together.

Unsurprisingly, Tadayana won.

No matter how many little tricks Isshiki tried to pull to distract her, Tadayana didn’t go easy on her in the slightest.

And even after the tour was over, Totsuka still looked downcast.

That piqued Tadayana’s curiosity.

“Is something bothering you?

Don’t tell me the school’s planning to shut the Tennis Club down because nobody comes to practice?” “Huh?!

N-no, no, that’s not it.

There are still people in it.

The school only requires a minimum of more than three members, so that part’s easy to meet.

It’s just…

it’s just that as club president, I haven’t fulfilled the responsibilities and duties I should have.

So…” After saying that, Totsuka started fidgeting shyly again, which made Isshiki, standing nearby, frown in displeasure.

“Oh~ I get it.

You’re worried that no one’s really putting any effort into the club.” “Mmhm, mmhm, that’s exactly it.

Ever since the previous president graduated and left the club, everyone who stayed has just been treating tennis like a way to pass the time.

“That drive and competitive spirit from before are gone now.

I think that’s my fault, because when the previous president was here, the club never felt this lifeless.

Maybe if I train harder myself, I can inspire them to find their motivation again.” Tadayana mulled those words over carefully.

So when the leadership changed, the club changed color too?

That was perfectly normal, really.

The person taking over had a completely different style, so naturally the people under them would also start to treat the same thing differently.

“Then you’ve got the wrong focus.

It doesn’t matter how well you practice by yourself.” “Your goal isn’t to make them play better, or send them to nationals.

You just want to bring back the lively atmosphere here, right?

Then the principal contradiction isn’t something to be solved by training yourself harder.” “If you want everyone to start practicing with real motivation, then you need to find out why they don’t have any in the first place.

You can’t figure those reasons out just by relying on your own assumptions. Visit g.com for the full chapter.

Even the slightest deviation will keep you from finding the right way to solve the problem.” Totsuka listened to Tadayana’s lesson in a daze.

“From the way you and I have been talking, I can already tell something about you.

Because of your soft appearance and your soft nature, there’s probably a problem with how the club is being managed—you can’t bring yourself to enforce anything strictly.” “You’re just leaving them to do as they please, aren’t you?

And under a loose system like that, your members are inevitably going to develop one or two different voices against you and resist you.

In other words, your members’ thinking is completely disunified.

In a situation like that, no matter how harshly you push yourself, it won’t do a damn bit of good.” “Or what—were you planning to get your delicate little body hurt so they’d be moved by it and start pitying you?

If that’s the kind of thing you’re hoping for, then you should give it a rest.

You’d be better off disbanding the club early, or stepping down and giving the position to someone more suitable.” After Tadayana finished, Totsuka fell into a strange silence.

“…Hey, Tadayana, don’t you think that was a little too harsh?” Seeing that something seemed off, Isshiki tugged at Tadayana’s wrist.

“What?

You can’t even accept advice this objective?” At Tadayana’s provocative tone, Totsuka slowly raised his head.

He had already slipped completely into the state of a dazzled little fanboy.

“S-so amazing…

Tadayana-san, could you—could you please help me??

Please.

I’ll do anything.

I’m begging you.” “Wh…” Seeing Totsuka like this, even Isshiki had to admit that all kinds of people existed in this world.

“No.

I don’t really have the time, and if it’s just me, the workload would be a bit too much.” “Oh…

I see…

But thank you for the advice.

I’ll listen carefully and do as you said.” Disappointment fell over Totsuka all over again.

Mm, mm.

A teachable child.

Tadayana rather liked people who were willing to sincerely listen to advice.

“Still, I can introduce you to a reliable group that helps people.” That was right.

Since Yukinoshita’s side existed for the very purpose of helping others, this worked out perfectly.

“Ah?!

Thank you so, so much.” “Wh— since when did you come to know some organization like that?

It sounds so mysterious…” Isshiki complained.

Could it be that Tadayana already had a hundred thousand shadow soldiers under her command?!

Terrifying!

…

In front of the Service Club room, to find the place, Tadayana and Isshiki had to wander around the first-floor hall for a bit before finally spotting the recruitment notice for this obscure clubroom.

Knock knock knock — “Excuse us.” x2 “Come in.” When they opened the door to that rather unusual empty classroom, they found the familiar Yukinoshita and Yuigahama sitting side by side, apparently talking about something.

Tadayana looked around.

There was nothing here except a pile of unused desks and chairs stacked off to one side, three stools that had been set out, and one long wooden table.

Besides that, there were some tea utensils and sweets.

Two of the stools were occupied by Yukinoshita and Yuigahama, while the third was empty.

That was all there was to it.

Such a simple arrangement, with nothing particularly remarkable about it.

And yet, because Yukinoshita was here, the room somehow took on a faint sense of sanctity.

This plain, ordinary setup seemed to tell every person who came here the same thing—what was remarkable was not the Service Club room itself, but the fact that Yukinoshita, the head of the Service Club, was here.

“Wow, such a big place, and there are only two of you here?” Isshiki exclaimed.

“Hello.” “Ah!

It’s Saika!!” Yuigahama pointed atTotsuka as she spoke.

“No, you’re early.

The other person hasn’t arrived yet.

After all, school only just ended.” Yukinoshita said calmly.

Naturally, she knew the names and classes of all three people who had come here.

After all, she had a habit of memorizing everyone’s information at the start of each school year.

So she would never ask Yuigahama something as tactless as “Do you know him?” Since this was Tadayana’s group’s first time here, the three of them were all busy looking around.

“Oh, right, Yukinon.

Tadayanan already told me in advance that they’d be coming this time.

But I forgot to tell you.” “Uh…” Hearing that, everyone present fell briefly silent.
