"NOOOOOO!"
Akura howled as she clawed herself to her bed, sticking to it like a baby koala.
"Aku Honey... You have to get tutored..."
"You promised that I would get tutored once I'm 4! I'm not even 4!"
"Fuuuh..." She rubbed her nose bridge.
"But that was before I knew you're a reincarnator, plus it shouldn't be hard for you to be tutored, no?"
"Yeah, but... That past life of mine is not me! I am the Akura of this life!" She huffed proudly.
"..."
"I'm still not going!"
Samiko exhaled and decided that it was time for her to do something drastic.
"I will only feed you vegetables for every meal you have if you keep complaining."
She crossed her arms; it's time for her to put her foot down!
Akura gasped before...
[You used "Puppy Eyes"]
Samiko let out a 'tch.' She is glad she improved her [Mental Protection] skill.
"No. So keep behaving like this, and you won't eat any meat."
"B-B-But..."
Samiko stared sternly at Akura.
...
..
.
"Fine..." Akura deflated.
Her claws retract back into her paws before Samiko picks her up.
"Good girl~" Samiko smiled widely. 'Maybe I should use this tactic more often...'
***
"This is Mr West, A scholar from the Ivela Kingdom."
Samiko introduced the man to the 'dead' Akura. There is no sign of life in her eyes.
Mr West glances at Samiko in concern.
{This is one of her antics, don't worry about it.}
He sighed before kneeling to be at Akura's eye level, who is currently lying on the table.
"Pleasure to meet you, Ms Ruo."
Akura's fluffy ears twitched.
'Ruo?'
She turned her head to her mother.
"Ah, have I not told you. Aku?"
She hummed.
"Our family name is Ruo"
"Why am I learning about this now?"
"Oh? I thought you hated learning from how much you complained and whined." Samiko remarked back coldly, making Akura shiver.
"Hmph."
Akura has decided to graciously back down from this fight.
Samiko turns her head back to Mr West, who is currently amused by the dynamic of this family.
"Ah, yes. Ahem. Ms Ruo, I will be teaching you three times a week."
"..."
He thinks back on what Samiko told him.
'Whenever Aku is not paying attention, entice her with a reward of meat if she pays attention.'
"Whenever you paid attention to my lessons, you will be rewarded with mea-"
Akura suddenly became 'alive' as she stood up and sat down elegantly. However, her definition of elegance is different from how other people see her, very adorable.
"I will be the best student you will ever have, Sensei!"
"..." Mr West is currently speechless and amused by his new student.
'The child of the two heroes is certainly... Unique... How fun'
He smiles wisely.
"On Monday, I will be teaching you history for 1 hour. On Wednesday, I will be teaching you... Um..." He glanced at Samiko for a moment, who was currently smiling peacefully.
"Common sense..."
"Eh?" Akura looked at him in shock.
'The audacity of this person! Of course I'm perfectly normal!'
"On how to be normal... Kitsune behaves and acts."
"Mom, I want a new teacher."
Akura spurted out, making everyone in the room choke on their saliva.
"Aku... He's the best teacher one can have..."
Akura pouted. "Oh yeah? Where's the proof?"
"Well... He was the youngest genius to graduate from Cosluma University, the first to solve all of 3 unsolvable mathematical equations. He invented a new mana technique and discovered a new dimension which none has seen or inhabited. And he's..."
Samiko continues to ramble on about his achievement, shocking Akura more and more as her mother continues speaking.
She would have never thought that a man who looked like a 30-year-old man, with hazel eyes. Wearing a sleek buttoned shirt and black overall pants. Would it be this impressive!
"Wha..."
"Ahem..." Mr West clears his throat, embarrassed by all his achievements being spoken about.
Akura asked a question in curiosity.
"So... What would be my lesson on Friday then?"
"Hm? What made you think about your lesson on Friday?" West responded with intrigue.
"I mean... I have a lesson on Monday and Wednesday. Having a one-day gap between each lesson... So I thought my next lesson would be on Friday."
Mr West smiled back with more curiosity.
'No wonder Samiko called her daughter a genius...'
"Hohohoho. You're very right. Your lesson on Friday will be about magi-"
Now he has the entirety of Akura's attention.
"Magic? I'm finally learning about magic?"
She has conveniently forgotten the fact that she's going to learn about common sense on Wednesday, which is tomorrow.
He nodded.
"You were supposed to be taught about writing and speaking, but... Samiko had said that you are an expert at that."
"So I will be teaching you the basics and guiding your foundation in the next few years." Smiling widely.
Samiko hummed as she intruded on the conversation.
"After that, Aku, I can teach you how to transform into a human and use illusory magic."
Akura's tail is now wagging excitedly. Who would've thought she would be excited about being tutored?
She immediately starts daydreaming of being very powerful and using any kind of magic like Merlin from her past life!
"Hohoho," He claps his hand.
"Classes will be taught in this room, Ms Ruo."
Akura nodded excitedly, not knowing of the horror that was about to come.
...
..
.
It has been a few weeks since she was first taught by Mr West.
During her lessons, she soon learned what she had hated studying in her past life.
...
"I don't want to do more theory!" She howled as she wailed around on the floor.
"I don't want to learn how Kitsune should speak to others and how they use their tails to show affectionate greetings!"
She whined as she remembered all her classes about Common Sense. It was quite literal, making her hate Wednesday.
However, for Magic and History, it was fun.
Because all of his focus was on teaching a single student, he was able to remove the boring part from the lesson, which made his lessons very engaging and fun.
Especially about magic, since it is 20% theoretical, 60% practical, 10% hard work and 10% talent.
She was taught about how mages have different ranks and how ranks differ in various species.
For example, humans have the magic circles in their heart, while Kitsune have a condensed magic orb in their navel, which is commonly referred to as Dantian.
Kitsune magic is fundamentally different from humans, as their magic can affect and empower their bodies and items. Despite being of a similar nature as magic, it is not what's called Qi.
However, Kitsune magic is unable to easily manifest elements outside their body, such as fireball, water arrow, earth wall, etc. Which human mages are really good at.
Mr West emphasises the differences between both races and how each race has both advantages and disadvantages.
It was shocking for Akura to see how Mr West is able to easily guide her on how to form her dantian first, despite being a human.
"You must breathe in this specific pattern; you need to guide the air in and expel the impurities out of your mouth. Once your lungs feel hot, you must guide it through your veins." He spoke as he pointed at her chest, then slowly moved his finger from her chest to her shoulder to her back to her arms and back to her chest.
"Once you're capable of moving the Qi in this pattern, it means that your qi control has reached the very basic"
He smiled softly.
"Only after you achieve Qi Control, I will teach you how to form your dantian."
It's really fun, since she gets to see real-time feedback from her system.
[Your proficiency in "Qi Control(Low-Basic)" to 85%]
She smiled proudly as she continued guiding the energy from her chest to specific patterns.
[Your proficiency in "Qi Control(Low-Basic) has increased to 86%]
So beside her history and common sense classes, she is truly 'happy' to be taught.
