An Admiral-level freeze that even Diamond Jozu could barely break free from, how could pirates with bounties of only a few tens of millions of Berries hope to resist it?

Their shocked expressions were locked in ice, frozen where they stood.Full novel: I Have a Phone in One Piece — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Crocodile slowly descended, his expression shifting as his attention fixed entirely on the robed figure he had previously ignored.

“Admiral Aokiji?!”

“If you truly believe your abilities allow you to run wild in Alabasta, then face him.” Pell said coldly, his sharp gaze directed at Nair.

Pell could only guess.

This had to be the prince’s Devil Fruit ability.

Replication, perhaps, or something even stranger.

The power before him was unmistakable, it was the ability of Aokiji, the very Marine Admiral they had been tracking.

What he did not realize was that Nair had not merely copied the ability, he possessed its full strength.

It was unlike Blackbeard inheriting Whitebeard’s Tremor-Tremor Fruit and failing to match its original might.

If Nair obtained such a power, it would manifest at its absolute peak.

“This is unexpected.

You chose to interfere?

What convinced you?

Was it that child?”

Crocodile felt a chill crawl across his scalp.

In this weak kingdom, he suddenly felt suffocated.

Unbelievable.

Incomprehensible.

Unacceptable.

That insignificant brat he could have crushed so easily, how had he managed to involve an Admiral without any proof?

It felt as if everything had been seen through by someone not even present, as though he had been manipulated effortlessly from the shadows.

Crocodile’s expression twisted.

He refused to believe that Aokiji would actually kill him.

With a vicious glare, he raised his hook.

“Desert Spada!”

A violent sandstorm burst forth beneath the palace, tearing through the frozen ground as a massive blade of sand surged forward.

The sheer size of the palace barely contained the force of their clash.

“Ice Ball.”

Nair stepped forward, positioning himself before Pell.

A chilling aura spread from his body as five streams of freezing energy gathered in his hands.

With a simple motion, five pillars of ice shot forward.

In an instant, the raging sandstorm froze solid in midair.

The ice extended downward, locking the sand beneath the surface as well.

The difference in power was absolute.

At this stage, Crocodile stood no chance against an Admiral’s level of mastery.

Aokiji had once forced back Donquixote Doflamingo without even lifting a hand, and this very technique had briefly frozen Whitebeard during the Marineford War. Visit novelping(.)com for the full chapter.

Crocodile stared at the frozen mass before him, his limbs turning cold.

So this was the power of an Admiral.

Gritting his teeth, he charged again.

The golden layer of his hook shattered away, revealing the poisoned blade beneath as he slashed toward Nair’s head with lethal intent.

Clang!

The strike shattered part of the ice, but the hook itself froze halfway through.

No blood appeared.

Through the fractured ice, Crocodile still could not see the man’s face.

But he no longer needed confirmation.

There could not be a second Ice-Ice Fruit user in this world.

The cold surged again.

Half of Crocodile’s body froze in an instant.

He stopped resisting, his eyes turning savage.

“Then do it.

Kill me!”

Nair did not move.

Even with the power of an Admiral in his grasp, he understood a simple truth.

Against the enemies he would face in the future, he was still not strong enough.
