“Huh?!”

What kind of ability was this?

Arthur stared at the mobile phone in his hand, his expression stiff with disbelief.Full novel: I Have a Phone in One Piece — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

At a moment like this, when his life was on the line, why would he need something like a phone?

Wouldn’t a Logia-type Devil Fruit have been far more useful?

Even a Mythical Zoan would have been acceptable.

With a heavy heart, he began testing the abilities of this so-called Devil Fruit.

The more he explored, the worse he felt.

This was a complete scam.

At present, he only possessed two abilities.

The first allowed him to create mobile phones at will.

The second was the communication function embedded within them.

Through this communication module, Arthur and every phone he created could connect with each other.

In other words, the Phone-Phone Fruit did not just replicate communication, it turned him into the core of the entire network.

He had effectively become a human transmission hub.

Wasn’t this just an upgraded, multi-functional Den Den Mushi?

In the original world, Den Den Mushi were special creatures modified through science.

Now, after obtaining what should have been an absurdly powerful ability, he had somehow turned himself into something similar.

“I got something that could have been the strongest Devil Fruit, and this is what it turned into…”

Arthur felt like crying.

He looked at the old Nokia phone in his hand, then clapped lightly.

Another identical phone appeared.

After a brief hesitation, he dialed the number that had automatically been assigned.

“Hello?”

Silence.

“Hello?”

He was calling himself.

After a moment, he lowered the phone, his expression blank.

So this was his life now?

Letting out a long sigh, Arthur gave up on the idea of relying on this ability to live some luxurious life.

For now, survival was the priority.

He decided to keep a low profile and adapt to his situation step by step.

As he sat by the shore in boredom, staring out at the endless sea, something caught his attention.

Several massive warships appeared on the horizon.

His eyes widened.

Marines?

A trace of joy surfaced on his face.

If those ships belonged to pirates, he would be in serious trouble.

After all, not every pirate crew was like Luffy’s.

But Marines were different.

At the very least, most of them still followed a sense of justice.

The warships soon approached the island and anchored along the shore.

A group of Marines disembarked, led by a tall and imposing Vice Admiral.

His coat, bearing the word Justice, fluttered in the wind.

With his distinctive mohawk and mustache, Arthur immediately recognized him.

Vice Admiral Momonga.

Before Arthur could step forward to call for help, his body suddenly tensed.

Momonga pulled out a piece of paper.

A bounty poster.

“Rebel, Nefertari Nair, you are under arrest.”

His cold voice cut through the air.

Arthur froze.

Before he could react, Marines rushed forward and surrounded him.

Heavy handcuffs were locked onto his wrists.

The moment they clicked shut, a wave of weakness spread through his body.

Sea Prism Stone.

His limbs lost their strength as he was lifted and carried onto the warship.

The name Momonga had spoken echoed in his mind.

Nefertari Nair.

Thrown into a dark, isolated cabin, he lay there in a daze.

“What is going on…?”

“Rebel?

That title… am I supposed to be part of the Revolutionary Army?”

“That makes no sense.”

“I came here with my own body.

How did I suddenly become a wanted criminal?

Momonga isn’t someone who would make a careless mistake.”

Almost on the verge of tears, Nair forced himself to move.

His weakened body struggled as he crawled toward a basin filled with clear water.

He leaned over and looked at his reflection.

It was still his face.

Younger, but unmistakably his.

Which meant only one thing.

Something had gone wrong during his transmigration.

His body remained the same, but his identity had been replaced.

He had become someone else.

His meals over the next few days were unexpectedly good.

The food was far better than what a normal prisoner would receive.

Logically, a wanted criminal should not be treated this well.

Yet, Vice Admiral Momonga never appeared again.

Whenever Nair tried to ask the Marines for information, they simply ignored him, responding only with cold expressions.
