“Holy crap… this is incredible.”
Nair stared at the screen in disbelief, his thoughts racing.
Through the network, he could actually download the abilities of mobile phone users.
He was the central hub, the only server connecting every device he created.
As his mind processed the information using concepts he was familiar with, a clear interface appeared before his eyes.
Mobile Phone Level Lv2
Memory 0/1GB
Network 2G
Download Speed 50KB per second
Range 1 kilometer radius
Nair narrowed his eyes as he analyzed it further.
For every person who used one of his phones, his total memory capacity increased by 1MB.
That meant one thousand users would give him 1GB.
The size of that memory determined how many abilities he could store.
More importantly, these abilities were not raw potential.
They were fully developed results, skills others had already trained to completion.
However, there was a restriction.
The target had to be within range.
And that range could only be expanded by raising the level of his Devil Fruit ability.
Nair let out a slow breath, his mind gradually settling as he grasped the implications.
This power… was far from ordinary.
Just as he was about to think further, a knock sounded at the door.
“Knock knock.
Your Highness, are you inside?”
Nair stood up and responded.
When the door opened, he saw a man wearing a traditional desert headscarf.
Dark purple markings lined his eyes, and his white attire was decorated with four-pointed purple stars.
A sword hung at his waist, and his expression was serious and composed.
Pell.
The captain of the Alabasta Royal Guard and a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user.
Nair paused slightly, then said, “Pell.
What brings you here?”
Pell stepped inside, his gaze briefly sweeping over the strange rectangular devices scattered throughout the room.
He did not comment on them.
After offering a respectful bow, he remained silent for a moment before speaking.
“Your Highness, you acted too hastily.
The influence of that so-called hero is overwhelming.
If not for the Marines appearing at the right time, along with several fortunate coincidences… the consequences would have been severe.”
Nair froze for a brief moment.
From Pell’s words, he quickly understood something important.
Pell already suspected Crocodile.
And more than that, it seemed Nair’s earlier actions had not been an attempt to run away and become a pirate, but rather an effort to investigate Crocodile.
Before Nair could respond, Pell continued.
“However, this incident has confirmed something for me.”
Pell slowly dropped to one knee.
“Your Highness, please forgive my earlier doubts.
I now believe without question that Crocodile harbors ill intentions.
The abnormal rainfall in Alabasta over the past year… it is his doing.”
“Stand up, Pell,” Nair said, his tone steady as he considered the situation.
“Aside from us, who else knows about this?”
Pell rose to his feet and answered without hesitation.
“Within Alabasta, only the two of us are aware of his true nature.
His Majesty may have suspicions, but there is no concrete evidence.”
Nair nodded slightly.
“Pell, do you trust me?”
“You have already proven yourself worthy of the royal name,” Pell replied firmly.
“I am willing to swear my loyalty.”
His voice carried conviction.
He believed that Nair had risked his life to uncover the truth behind Crocodile.
That alone was enough to earn his respect.
Nair did not correct the misunderstanding.
“The gap between us and Crocodile is too large,” Nair said after a brief pause.
“For now, we cannot expose this matter.
Not even to Father.”
Pell hesitated slightly before speaking.
“Vice Admiral Momonga is still in Alabasta.
If we seek assistance from the Marines…”
“Pell,” Nair interrupted, his gaze sharpening, “Crocodile is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
The position exists under the authority of both the World Government and the Marines.
Without solid proof, they will not act against him.”
He paused briefly before continuing.
“Even if we had some evidence… it might not be enough.”
Pell fell silent, then gave a slow nod.
“I understand.
Still, keeping this from His Majesty and the Princess… it will weigh heavily on you.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Nair replied.
“We have more pressing matters to focus on.”
With that, he picked up one of the devices he had created and held it out.
“This is a new type of communication tool.
It was created through the power of the Devil Fruit I consumed.
It functions similarly to a Den Den Mushi, but the cost of production is far lower.”
Pell accepted the device, examining it carefully without interrupting.
“I want these to spread throughout Alabasta.”
“Understood.”
Pell did not ask further questions.
He had already made his decision.
From their conversation alone, he could tell that the young prince before him was far more capable than he had previously believed.
