Download range five kilometers

The upgrade was immediate and substantial.

The memory capacity surpassed 100GB, the download speed doubled, and the range expanded to five kilometers.

At last, Nair could clearly sense the position of Kuzan.

Without hesitation, he initiated the download of the Ice-Ice Fruit ability.

Ice-Ice Fruit ability, awakened-level usage, Kuzan, 100GB

Download time 6 days

Six days.

With 1GB equaling 1024MB and 1MB equaling 1024KB, the sheer scale of the data meant the process could not be rushed.

During this period, if Kuzan left the five-kilometer range, the download would pause.

However, it would not reset.

Once Kuzan reentered the range, progress would continue from where it stopped.

With no immediate need for further upgrades, Nair adjusted the mobile phone prices back to normal.

Unexpectedly, sales increased rather than declined.

The public feared that such a high-quality and affordable mechanical Den Den Mushi might suddenly become expensive, so demand surged even more.

Kuzan remained within the royal capital the entire time.

As a follower of lazy justice, he rarely involved himself deeply unless necessary.

However, after staying for nearly half a month, even he could not justify further delay to Sengoku.

He finally set off toward Rainbase, intending to meet Crocodile.

The moment Kuzan moved beyond range, Nair felt the connection break.

His expression darkened.

“It was going to finish in just a few hours…”

He looked up at Pell, who was watching him with confusion.

“Pell, I need to leave the palace.”

Pell froze for a moment.

“Your Highness, that is too dangerous.

His Majesty will never approve.

Have you forgotten what happened last time?”

“This time is different,” Nair replied, his tone steady but urgent.

“I have already proven my value.

Crocodile will not kill me easily.

At worst, he will detain me.

But I have to go.

This may be the last chance for the people of Alabasta to reclaim their dignity.

Trust me.”

Pell hesitated.

After a brief silence, he clenched his teeth and transformed into his falcon form.

“I will take you.”

He lowered himself slightly, allowing Nair to climb on.

Moments later, the falcon soared into the sky, cutting across the vast desert landscape.

Though known as a desert kingdom, Alabasta was not entirely barren.

While arid regions were widespread, they were not endless.

An inland sea stretched deep into the country, nourishing scattered oases.

The land balanced between heavy rainfall in certain areas and intense evaporation.

Only the uninhabited zones between cities, along with the massive desert in the far north, were truly desolate.

The rest of the kingdom still held life.

With a population capable of supporting one soldier for every five hundred to one thousand civilians, Alabasta maintained an army of roughly six hundred thousand troops.

Roughly five kilometers ahead, Pell carried Nair through the air.

In the distance, a small black figure stood against the sands.

“Is that your target?” Pell asked.

His sharp vision allowed him to make out a tall figure cloaked in darkness, though the identity remained unclear.

At that moment, the man below seemed to sense something.

Kuzan slowly released his Observation Haki.

Its range extended outward, reaching five kilometers.
