The Sichuan golden monkey waved its arms and legs while making anxious cries, seemingly trying to tell Su Lin that its companion was injured and needed help from this seemingly kind human.

Su Lin looked toward them and saw that the two Sichuan golden monkeys that had just been fighting had both suffered minor injuries.

The wounds weren’t serious, but they were still bleeding.Full novel: I Made You a Forest Ranger, Not a Treasure Hunter — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Monkeys possessed a certain level of intelligence, and even the viewers who didn’t have Su Lin’s ability to communicate with animals could understand what the golden monkey was trying to convey.

“Damn, they’re actually asking Zhu Bo for help.

How clever!”

“They’re almost like they’re talking!

Although those noses are a little distracting, hahaha.

I kept staring at them.

😂”

“Oh dear, one of them is really injured.

That bigger monkey must be their leader.

It even dragged the injured monkey over for Su Su to see.”

“That’s what’s amazing about primates.

In certain situations, they can recognize when humans are willing to help and actively seek assistance.”

Several Sichuan golden monkeys timidly approached, taking a few cautious steps before stopping.

The reason was obvious—the giant panda beside Su Lin let out a low growl the moment she saw them coming closer.

“Mommy Bear, quiet down.

They’re injured and need my help.

You take care of the cubs for now.”

Su Lin took off the basket from his back and handed it to the giant panda.

The panda obediently took the basket and held it in her arms.

She glanced at the Sichuan golden monkeys, then at Su Lin, before sitting down on the spot with the basket still in her paws.

Her bright black eyes remained fixed on Su Lin’s back, as if wondering what her dad was about to do.

“Don’t be afraid.

Let me take a look at your wounds.”

Su Lin crouched down and slowly approached the golden monkeys, careful not to frighten them.

“Chirp, chirp!

Fighting…

fighting…

blood…

it hurts!”

One of the injured Sichuan golden monkeys opened its mouth and cried out.

It even turned around and glared angrily at the companion it had just fought with.

The other monkey wasn’t willing to back down.

It immediately opened its mouth and cried out in retaliation.

Then something completely unexpected happened.

The two injured monkeys started arguing again!

The larger golden monkey that had been trying to break up their fight immediately became furious.

It opened its mouth and let out a loud cry before raising its paws and smacking each of the two quarrelling monkeys.

“Damn!

Hahahaha, I’m dying of laughter!

This is so realistic!

It’s exactly like the way my mother used to discipline my brother and me!”

“This has to be their mother or the leader of the group.

She actually knows how to mediate a fight!”

“Hahaha, this scene is both hilarious and strangely heartwarming!”

“Damn, ever since I entered Zhu Bo’s live stream, there’s been one amazing thing after another.

Don’t stop me!

I’m sending gifts!”

“Giant Panda: Do you still remember the panda mother who had a difficult birth by Daming Lake?”

“Panda cub: Waaah!”

“These wild animals are way too entertaining, and the comments are even funnier!”

Most people rarely had the opportunity to see wild animals behaving like this.

Watching the Sichuan golden monkeys fight and then seeing another monkey step in to discipline them gave the viewers an incredible sense of familiarity.

It was almost exactly like a mother scolding two mischievous children.

Su Lin’s lips twitched as he quickly tried to calm them down.

“Alright, stop fighting.

Come over here and let me see where you’re hurt.”

The two monkeys had clearly not accepted that they were in the wrong.

After being scolded by the larger monkey, they glanced at each other before slowly approaching Su Lin.

Su Lin moved carefully and examined their injuries.

The monkeys even seemed to understand what he was doing.

They lowered their heads and raised their arms, as if showing him exactly where they were hurt.

After a careful examination, Su Lin discovered that their injuries were limited to their arms. New chapters come out on g.com first.

One of them also had a shallow scratch on its head.

He finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, they had only been fighting among themselves.

There were no signs of an attack from another wild animal, and their injuries weren’t serious.

Su Lin reached into his pocket.

When he pulled his hand out, a small medicine bottle was already in his palm.

It was one of the rewards he had received from the system—the Basic Healing Solution.

The potion was effective for treating minor injuries.

Of course, Su Lin had already transferred the system’s medicine into an ordinary medicine bottle beforehand.

There was no way he could explain where a strange emerald-green potion had come from.

While Su Lin prepared to treat the golden monkey’s wounds, the surrounding monkeys made curious noises.

They wanted to approach, but they were still somewhat hesitant.

“Little one, this is medicine.

It’ll help your wound heal, so don’t be afraid.”

According to the system’s instructions, he only needed to apply an appropriate amount of the medicine directly to the wound.

Su Lin gently parted the bloodstained golden fur with one hand, revealing the scratch underneath.

Then he carefully dripped two drops of the emerald-green liquid onto the wound.

The monkey instinctively pulled its arm back.

“Squeak…

so cool.

It feels good.”

The golden monkey being treated opened its mouth slightly, seemingly surprised by the cool and soothing sensation.

The monkey beside it watched the entire process.

Then, to Su Lin’s surprise, it looked at the medicine bottle in his hand, stretched out its arm, and chirped softly.

It was asking Su Lin to treat it too.

Su Lin couldn’t help but smile at its adorable behavior.

He reached out and gently stroked its small head covered in soft golden fur.

“Holy crap, why does it look like the monkey is actually enjoying it?

What kind of medicine is that?

Is it really that effective?”

“It’s so intelligent!

When it saw its companion being treated, it immediately offered its own arm.”

“Su Su is a forest ranger, so it’s normal for him to carry medicine while patrolling the forest.

You never know when you’ll get injured.”

“Isn’t applying medicine supposed to sting?

Why does that monkey look like it’s enjoying a massage?

Hahaha!”

“Don’t remind me!

The last time I scraped my knee while skateboarding, my mom immediately put disinfectant on it.

It hurt so badly that I kept yelling!”

“Hilarious!

You actually cursed at your mother while she was treating you?

You deserved that beating!”

“Exactly!

She smacked me on the head several times.

Hehe.”

According to the system’s description, the Basic Healing Solution was cool and non-irritating.

That explained why the golden monkey didn’t cry out in pain and instead seemed to enjoy the soothing sensation.

After applying the medicine, Su Lin carefully observed the wound.

To his surprise, the shallow scratch on the golden monkey’s arm was already showing obvious signs of healing.

“Damn!

It’s only a basic healing potion, and it’s already this effective?”

Su Lin couldn’t help but marvel at the result.

However, the viewers couldn’t see the changes as clearly as he could.

If they had, they probably would have flooded the live stream with questions about where they could buy this “miracle medicine.”

The two Sichuan golden monkeys stared at their slowly healing wounds.

They opened their mouths and made excited noises, seemingly amazed by what had happened.

“Alright, no more fighting.

Getting hurt isn’t fun.”

Su Lin reached out and gently stroked their heads, comforting them like children.

At that moment, several other Sichuan golden monkeys gathered around him.

They were no longer as frightened as before.

Behind them, the giant panda sat with the basket in her arms, watching Su Lin interact with the golden monkeys with her beady black eyes.

No one knew what was going through her mind.

She tilted her head slightly and let out a soft cry before slowly walking over, still carrying the basket.

As soon as the Sichuan golden monkeys sensed the approaching giant panda, they became slightly uneasy.

Su Lin turned around.

The giant panda was standing right beside him.

Her eyes moved from Su Lin’s face to the golden monkey beneath his hand.

Then she stared at Su Lin’s hand resting on the monkey’s head.

A few seconds later, the giant panda suddenly reached out with one paw and pushed Su Lin’s hand away.

She let out a low, dissatisfied growl.

“Don’t touch that golden-haired fellow.”

Su Lin froze.

After a few seconds, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Good heavens.

The giant panda was actually jealous!

“Eh?!

Is Mommy Bear…

jealous?”

“Hahaha!

Look at Zhu Bo’s expression!

She’s definitely jealous!

That little move is exactly like a child pulling their mother’s hand away because she touched another kid!”

“Damn!

Pandas can actually get jealous?!”

“Panda: Get your hand away!

You can only touch me.

Hmph!”

“What an amazing giant panda!

I want a national treasure that gets jealous over me too!”

“Hahaha, did you see the monkeys’ expressions?

They look completely confused!”

“I want to pet a golden monkey too.

They’re so fluffy and cute!”

“I’m so jealous!

He gets to raise a giant panda and pet golden monkeys!”

After the giant panda successfully pushed Su Lin’s hand away, the golden monkey stared at her in confusion.

Its expression seemed to say:

What are you doing?

Su Lin couldn’t help but laugh.

Normally, when a forest ranger encountered an injured wild animal, the proper procedure was to report it so that professionals from a wildlife rescue station could come and provide treatment.

But Su Lin had the healing potion from the system, and its effects were extraordinary.

Since the injuries were minor, he could deal with them himself without causing the animals additional stress.

He picked up his basket and smiled at the Sichuan golden monkeys.

“Alright, little ones.

Take care of yourselves.

I’m leaving now.”

Su Lin turned around and began walking away.

He had only taken a few steps when he suddenly heard a cry behind him.

Something tugged at his trouser leg.

Su Lin stopped and looked back.

The larger golden monkey—the same one that had broken up the fight earlier—was pulling on his trousers.

Its other hand held half of a wild fruit and several pieces of tender bark.

The monkey tilted its head back, stretched out its arm, and offered the food to him.

Su Lin stared at it in surprise.

“For me?”

The golden monkey nodded excitedly.

“Chirp, chirp!

Eat.

You eat.

It’s delicious.”

Su Lin looked at the wild fruit in the monkey’s hand and was momentarily stunned.

It seemed that after helping them, he had gained the trust of an entire group of Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys.

And this was only the beginning.
