Chapter 3: A Woman Called Hope

I Must Create Every Monster Girl Myself Then!!!

Utarou was given land and a title, he was now “Sir Utarou of the Mountain Keep.”

His responsibilities were to operate the fortress and collect taxes on behalf of King Oldsman.

Unfortunately, Utarou was extremely depressed, and this persisted for the next year, where he simply went through the motions. He had no dreams, but without the ability to die he was simply operating on auto pilot.

Until a lone woman collapsed at the entrance of Utarou’s mountain fortress in the middle of a stormy night.

…

“Heh, she’s a lot prettier than I thought.” Joelson smiled, licking his lips as he leered at the heavily breathing woman bundled in blankets by the fire.

“Hey! Don’t even think about it, we’re waiting on Lord Utarou to decide what to do with her, remember?” Henrek scolded, punching Joelson in the chest.

“Look kid I get you’re new here, Utarou couldn’t give a rats ass about what we do. We basically have free reign over the place as long as the tax money flows to the King.” Joelson explained, still leering at the pale woman who was slowly stirring back to life as warmth returned to her body.

“She’s clearly an escaped slave, she doesn’t have a coin on her.”Henrek sighed.

“She can pay without money.” Joelson grinned as the woman opened her eyes, ears perking up as she heard the lust in Joelson’s voice.

“N-No…” She gasped, struggling to push herself back, emaciated body pushing off the thick blankets Henrek had given her.

“Look, once she warms up we’ll just have a little fun that’s all.” Joelson said as he stood up and began walking towards the shaking woman who closed her eyes.

“Just a little fun for-” Joelson reached over to grab the woman but was stopped by Henrek smashing him over the head with a chair, knocking Joelson out cold.

The woman looked up at Henrek as he dragged Joelson onto a bench, putting a flagon of ale in his hand in case any of the other guards came back, letting out a deep sigh as he looked at his fellow guardsman.

“I’m so sorry, are you okay? Do you need anything to eat-” Henrek asked as he turned back, finally getting a good look at the woman's eyes.

They weren’t normal, they were large, her irises yellow, and pupils slitted.

They were cat's eyes, not human eyes.

“I-I… need… water.” The woman panted, still weak.

“Right… yeah of course…” Henrek laughed.

There was something every knight in Utarou’s employ knew.

Utarou had a lust for women with monstrous features, though everyone assumed that it was a mere fantasy from a mad man.

“I don’t know how Lord Utarou will react to this…” Henrek thought as he gave the shivering woman a glass of boiled water, sitting next to her by the mess hall fire.

…

Utarou experienced many emotions upon seeing the mysterious woman.

The first was anger, Henrek had said he’d found a monster girl. The woman before him was far from what Utarou had spent many cold nights dreaming of. She had regular human ears, she had no tail and she lacked even the faintest trace of a whisker.

The second was relief, this woman clearly had the eyes of a cat. Henrek made it clear that this was strange, this was unique, perhaps this woman could lead Utarou to a true monster girl?

The third was hope, the dream of monster girls had not died.

The fire in Utarou’s chest reignited as for the first time in nearly a year, he smiled.

This terrified every knight in the throne room.

“Tell me, what is your name?” Utarou asked.

“I-I… I don’t have a name. I was born a slave.” The woman explained nervously, looking behind her back. Utarou laughed heartily.

Every Knight visibly shivered.

“And your eyes! Where did you get those from!” Utarou asked as he leapt up from his throne and grabbed the girl's hands.

“M-My mama!” The woman shouted, stepping back from Utarou as she opened her skill tree.

Her Legacy Skill was named “Night Vision.”

Utarou clasped his head as it all clicked.

“I see, I see now. I now know what I was placed on this world to do.” Utarou exclaimed as he began pacing around the throne room, every Knight watched in horror, except Henrek who put himself in between Utarou and the woman.

“I WAS NOT PLACED IN A WORLD WITHOUT MONSTER GIRLS AS A FORM OF PUNISHMENT!” Utarou shouted, grasping up at the sky dramatically as lightning struck outside.

“I HAVE A GOD GIVEN PURPOSE! A DREAM!” Utarou declared before pointing at the woman, Henrek moving towards his sword.

“I name thy Hope, for you have shown me the light! The path towards the creation of Utopia!” Utarou proclaimed as his plan struck him like divine intervention.

“M-My liege what are you saying?” Henrek asked as he looked towards the woman, now named Hope, and his lord.

“How could I have been so stupid as to not see it. LEGACY SKILLS! With my immortal ageless body,I have the time to experiment and curate the right skill trees to create them…” Utarou laughed as he saw the future in Hope, who was still trembling behind Henrek now.

“Create what my liege?!” Henrek asked exasperatedly, unsure what Utarou could possibly be planning.

“I must create them, I must create every single one of them.” Utarou grinned.

The room was silent.

“C-create what?” Hope asked meekly, poking her head out from behind Henrek.

“I MUST CREATE EVERY MONSTER GIRL MYSELF!” Utarou shouted triumphantly, a glint appearing in his eye.

The entire room blinked in unison.
