When Warren Hawthorne heard his friend’s words, he frowned slightly and said, “Fine.”
As soon as the purple-haired man heard Warren Hawthorne, he shot to his feet, his eyes instantly lighting up.
“Then let’s go now.” His voice was filled with urgency, as if he couldn’t wait to get in front of Hazel Sinclair.
Warren Hawthorne reached for a glass of liquor and took a sip.
The sharp, burning taste instantly spread through his mouth.
He glanced coolly at the man and then asked, “You’re in a hurry?”
“What’s the rush to go looking for trouble?”
The man’s excitement was instantly extinguished by the question.
“Mr.
Hawthorne, I’m just eager to get revenge for you,” the man said, sitting back down.
He picked up his drink, an awkward smile on his face.
“Heh…”
Warren Hawthorne kept his head down, letting out a cold laugh every so often.
‘If it weren’t for the fact that my family and influence are nothing compared to Warren Hawthorne’s, I wouldn’t have to put up with his attitude at all.’
The three of them sat drinking together, animatedly discussing how they would make Leon Sterling kneel and beg for mercy.
They were going to show him what they were made of.
When their cheeks were flushed and their senses were starting to blur from the alcohol, Warren Hawthorne stood up, raised his glass, and shouted, “Let’s finish this drink, and then we’ll go find Leon Sterling and teach him a lesson!”
“Yeah—!”
They had just cheered in agreement, not yet having finished their drinks, when the door to their private room opened and a man in a custom-tailored black suit walked in.
The dim private room suddenly brightened.
The three of them squinted, waiting for their eyes to adjust before looking at the person who had entered.
The haze in Warren Hawthorne’s eyes cleared instantly, and the effects of the alcohol seemed to evaporate in a second.
He scrambled to his feet, swaying unsteadily as he faced the newcomer.
“Brother…
what are you doing here?”
Silas Hawthorne looked at his disappointing younger brother, his brows furrowing deeply.
He raised his hand and slapped him across the face.
The crisp sound of the impact stunned Warren Hawthorne, and even the two men beside him jumped in shock.
The assistant following Silas Hawthorne lowered his head, not daring to watch.
‘Looks like Chairman Hawthorne is truly furious this time.’
‘After all, what Mr.
Hawthorne planned to do would certainly bring shame upon the Hawthorne Family—bullying Veridia’s former nouveau riche.’
‘Besides, Mr.
Hawthorne had been holed up at The Skylar Lounge drinking this whole time, coming home dead drunk every day.’
‘Chairman Hawthorne had finally made time to teach him a lesson today, but to start with a slap like that…
no one saw that coming.’
Warren Hawthorne’s head was turned to the side, his cheek stinging with a fiery pain.
Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
He was completely sober now.
He looked at his older brother, his voice dazed.
“Brother, what are you doing here?”
“If I hadn’t come, were you planning to keep drinking until you passed out?” Silas Hawthorne asked, watching him.
A smile flickered across his otherwise cold face.
“Of course not!” Warren Hawthorne explained hastily.
“Then come with me.”
Hearing this, Warren Hawthorne immediately agreed.
“Okay, Brother.”
After dealing with his brother, Silas Hawthorne’s gaze shifted to the other two men, finally landing on the one with purple hair.
“You’d best drop those little ideas of yours.
Veridia isn’t so lawless that you can do whatever you want.”
“If anything happens, the Sinclair Family won’t let you off the hook.”
With that said, Silas Hawthorne dragged his brother out of the room.
Leaving the two of them and the manager behind, the purple-haired man stood stunned for a moment before breaking out in a cold sweat.
‘So the Sinclair Family hasn’t abandoned Hazel Sinclair?’
