Chapter 1: Life Of A Mundy

I Only Summon Amazon Giantesses

A boy with vibrant auburn hair that best fitted his emerald-green eyes that shifted in shades over sunlight, walked along the school passage to get to his classroom. He wore a school leather jacket over his black shirt, blue pants and sneakers, with a bag that slung over his left shoulder.

His presence caught attention over the students along the corridor. Each of their faces carried different expressions, most especially pity and disgust as whispers and murmurs fell among them.

But all this was merely under the water to his thoughts as he ignored anything around him while he kept on moving forward, his expression didn’t change a bit which seemed to agitate some of the students.

If there was one thing he had learnt before in his life, it was definitely the art of nonchalance over anyone’s perception of their knowledge over himself. Humans were always judgemental in nature and characteristics, so he wouldn’t blame them for that.

However, before he could take any other step forward, someone from nowhere dashed into him with forceful push and the next moment, he was under the grip of her hand over his fragile neck as his back slammed the concrete wall with a cracking bang.

Gasps rose among the surrounding students as some chuckled and mocked his misery and weakness.

Mark clenched his jaws as he felt the strangling pressure over his neck grow stronger, his ethereal-green eyes met the amethyst eyes of his assaulter.

But then a resigned sigh escaped his lips when she only smirked at his helplessness.

The girl had magenta ponytail hairstyles and glossy lips. She wore a spiky collar around her neck with the similar school leather jacket over her violet shirt, a high-waisted pleated skirt, thigh-high stockings and sandals.

Her eyes gleamed as she pressed her thumb over his cheek that flushed red with pain. Mark could only try to resist it, but then it would make things worse if she noticed his composure.

"Mark Moulow, it seems that you’ve really grown stubborn as a mere mundy to remain here in Amstral Summoner Academy. Your foolishness would only lead to your doom, just like your father’s."

Amstral Summoner High is a one of the major institutes of the Amstral city for young summoners to learn on training and controlling over their powers and summons. But this was just his sophomore year as a student there.

Summoners had long ruled and influenced the headline of the world with their incredible potentials, but any one without the ability of a summoner was termed as mundies, which were just regular humans without any powers.

And Mark was one of them. Unlike the others who had awakened theirs since childhood, he hadn’t gotten any which was a disgrace to his family’s name, especially for his late father who was a high-ranked summoner married to a regular woman, his mother.

This was because ever since nexus rifts and dungeon gates had made its appearance with mana a century ago, around eighty-five percent of the human population had changed with adaptation and strength of a summoner to this new age of the world. Thereby making any ordinary people to appear insignificant to their presence in this existing world.

Two guys appeared close behind her as they cackled, they were her regular cronies and were always there to serve and support her even if she obviously never needed it.

Jack had brown hair and lean body build as he cracked his knuckles, while the other, Victor with black low-cut, had a much bigger frame than the other.

Mark’s gaze darted over the two of them, before locking back to her gaze head on without blinking.

"I wonder how bullies always schedule their daily routine over whoever they deem as weak, shouldn’t this be old for once?"

His statement only made her eyes to gleam, but he pushed on:

"Come on, Mia. Let’s just beat this off, must you always make an event whenever we meet each other?"

Mia’s eyes narrowed greatly with a smirk that played with her lips.

"For anything that makes you want to live in this place."

Mark gulped hard, but then a voice from far behind caught all of their attention as they turned to see someone coming forward, flanked by two others in Amstral school jackets.

Roman and Max moved forward as they both flanked a dark-skinned guy with sharp features. He had a short curly low taper hairstyle that best fitted the improved looks of his face.

Many always admired his nice body build which was undeniably a genetic variant from his summon, even if it appeared like someone with a regular workout routine. He also possessed an iconic summon that was powerful among other kinds of summon that many feared, and also wished to have.

"Back off, his mine," Kai said with a grin the moment he was close enough.

Mia blinked her eyes over his audacity towards her. "What? But he’s already occupied, we had him first!" She retorted.

Kai shook his head and glanced at both Roman and Max. Mia rolled her eyes with an annoyed groan, before letting go of Mark who inhaled heavily from suffocation.

She hissed at them and left the scene, while Kai moved toward Mark with a disapproving look of a trash. He launched a kick that slammed Mark over the concrete wall with a heavy crack, before moving closer again.

He leaned toward Mark who had a frustrated expression on his face. "You’re lucky that there are rules in the school boundaries, if not, you’d be dead already, just like your father."

Mark ignored his threat and only clenched his fists. If only that he had the chance with power to deal with these kind of people, he wouldn’t have hesitated since.

"Wait, is he snubbing us?! This is a new behavior that you’ve practiced, I’ll teach how to be respectful!" Before Roman could make a move, Kai placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Let’s leave him to sulk and die by himself, that’s way worse than helping him to. Trust me. Next time he should learn not to be trespassing into our territory." Kai only gave him a dismissive glance before turning to live with his team.

Mark exhaled with relief. Just because he was only trying to be detached and collective to himself in the midst of the powerful summoners as the only mundy in this school, he was already taken as an offense of arrogance and disrespect.

He was really fed up with this entirely, but his only hope lies today, during the time of summoner awakening ceremony to finally test his true fate after his failed attempt during his freshman year.
