Chapter 18: Tasha’s Shock

I Only Summon Amazon Giantesses

Summon: Cassandra the Cheer Warrior

Title: Giant Captain of the Amazon Order

Type: Polymer

Tier: 3.8 | Potential: 6.0

She now stood as a low level Elite Tier summon, carrying the potential of a truly formidable Amazon capable of matching even Top Level Elites in direct combat.

Mark opened his eyes back to reality, an approving smile spreading across his face. Cassandra’s potential had surged remarkably fast, and he found himself genuinely stunned by the sheer pace of it, before a far more fascinating realization slowly dawned on him.

Since she belonged to the ancient race of the Amazon Order, a bloodline that had existed since long, long ago, she was likely not growing from scratch at all, but rather retracing steps she had already mastered once before. It was much like a seasoned gym veteran returning after a lengthy break, quickly reclaiming old strength, compared to someone stepping into a gym for the very first time with nothing built up yet.

Because of that, her growth moved at a remarkable pace, never taking the usual days or weeks other summons typically needed to evolve. She had already lived through countless deadly, vicious battles in her past, leaving her fully accustomed to progressing far more quickly than most, rising like some unstoppable shooting star.

This, it seemed, was simply another defining trait of the Amazonian bloodline, a natural tendency to grow rapidly and adapt as one of nature’s strongest, most resilient forces.

And this wasn’t unique to Cassandra alone, but shared across every member of the Amazons who had lived throughout their long, storied history. For a brief moment, Mark found himself genuinely curious just how old Cassie actually was, especially given how youthful and enchanting she still managed to appear despite it all.

Perhaps their bloodline carried some rare genetic variant responsible for results like these, the kind that made them seem almost like a race of immortal women, untouched by the usual passage of time.

Tasha sprinted down the corridor, breathless, beads of sweat gathering along her temple. She had just sensed an overwhelming surge of mana radiating nearby, one that could only mean a single, terrifying thing. The sudden appearance of a dangerous dungeon.

Panic gripped her the moment she realized its location, dangerously close to where her bedridden mother rested, and possibly her younger brother too, though she had no idea whether he had actually awakened as a summoner yet. If either of them had somehow been caught up in it, the outcome could easily turn tragic. They were the only family she had left, and she refused to lose either of them, no matter the cost.

Tracking the fading strength of the mana signature as she made her way down the corridor toward her mother’s room, Tasha rounded a corner and came upon an empty apartment that stopped her dead in her tracks. Her pupils shrank sharply, eyes widening as she blinked rapidly, trying to process what she was seeing.

Mark stood in the middle of the empty apartment, hands tucked casually into the front pocket of his green hoodie. But it was the figure standing beside him that had truly stopped her cold, a tall woman with a striking, powerfully sculpted frame.

She stood at a towering seven feet tall, her long, graceful legs making the young man beside her look almost small by comparison. Tasha’s eyes narrowed as she took in the woman’s imposing, statuesque build, clearly intimidating enough on its own to command the space around her.

As though only just registering his sister’s stunned reaction, Mark glanced over at his summon. Sparks of green magical energy swirled around the Amazon a moment later as she dissolved into nothingness, drawn back safely into Mark’s soul space.

Tasha stood frozen, utterly speechless at what she had just witnessed. She hardly knew what to say, especially considering how deeply worried she had been only moments earlier for both her mother’s and brother’s safety. By now, the earlier surge of mana had already faded away like drifting smoke, a clear sign the dungeon itself had fully closed.

"Um, hey. I can explain everything, you really don’t need to report this or..." Mark said, scratching nervously at the back of his head.

"What are you even talking about? She looked absolutely incredible!" Tasha blurted out without a second thought. Yet, oddly enough, some small part of her also felt a quiet twinge of envy, the sheer presence of his summon leaving her feeling strangely small by comparison.

Mark blinked, caught off guard by her sudden burst of enthusiasm, though a smile quickly spread across his face regardless. He was genuinely relieved to see his sister standing firmly on his side, rather than judging or mocking him the way so many others already had.

Still, he let out a small sigh of relief as another thought crossed his mind. ’Wait, so Cassandra’s actually learned how to control her own size now? Lucky me, honestly. If she hadn’t, this entire apartment would’ve been reduced to rubble by now.’

Tasha rushed forward and pulled Mark into a tight hug, arms wrapped firmly around his neck. The sheer relief of finding them both safe had finally overwhelmed her, all that pent up worry pouring out at once. Mark returned the embrace warmly, arms settling around her back, before they finally pulled apart.

"What actually happened? I thought you and mom were..." her voice trailed off as she caught herself before the words could spill further.

"I went to grab some gifts for mom, with Precious keeping watch, but somehow I ended up stepping straight into a dungeon that had opened up right inside this apartment." Mark explained calmly.

"What kind of dungeon are we even talking about here?" Tasha asked, curiosity clear in her voice.

"A Lost Dungeon, mixing both Basic and Elite tiers inside it. Somehow, I managed to make it through in one piece. Lucky me, I guess." Mark replied with an easy shrug.

Tasha’s eyes narrowed sharply with genuine interest. "And that summon of yours? Is she some kind of superhuman? I could literally feel the sheer density of her aura from down the hall. What’s her actual tier?" Question after question poured out of her, the kind of relentless curiosity most people found exhausting, though Mark only chuckled softly, clearly used to it by now.

"I’ll be right back, I still need to grab those gifts for mom." Mark smiled before turning and heading off, leaving Tasha standing there alone.

Mark stood with one hand resting against his chin, studying an ash colored door framed by gray stone pillars and heavy slabs. Much of its surface remained petrified beneath layers of ancient stone, though certain sections near the corners had already shifted into smooth, lacquered copper wood. A sure sign, at least, that it could eventually be opened.

This was the chamber door to his next summon, another member of the Amazon Order, and one he suspected would prove even stronger and more capable than the last.

His gaze drifted toward a tall, graceful statue nearby, carved from pristine white marble. It depicted a powerfully built woman with strong, thickly muscled legs, one arm raised high above her head in the middle of what looked like a silent, frozen battle roar.

This was going to be interesting. Mark could hardly wait to unlock the gate to his next summon, the anticipation building in his chest like a child eagerly tearing into a wrapped gift, desperate to see what waited inside.

His senses gradually pulled him back to the real world. He leaned briefly against the apartment wall before stepping through the doorway to rejoin Tasha, Precious, and his mother, a small bouquet of jasmine flowers held carefully in his hand.

Tasha glanced at what he was carrying. "You do realize mom isn’t actually gone, right?"

Her words struck him like a sudden bolt of lightning. Mark glanced down at the beautiful, sweetly scented flowers in his grip, his hold on them tightening slightly. "Yeah, I know that. But there’s nothing wrong with bringing flowers, they’re not cursed or anything. Besides, these happen to be her favorite."

Tasha let out a soft chuckle, gently stroking the head of Precious, who closed her eyes with a low, relaxed growl of contentment. She patted the empty spot beside her, inviting Mark to come sit. He already knew exactly where this was heading.

He knew his sister well, especially her relentlessly curious, interrogative streak. She was the kind of person whose curiosity might one day get the better of her, though he never minded it, not really. He was always willing to give her whatever answers she wanted, save for one particular thing he intended to keep to himself, at least for now.
