“Let me help you draw some more. You can read more about the mechanics part.” Chen Du picked up the pen and drew. The lines drawn in the book were as straight as his back.
“Oh, you know so much? What do you know about the HKCEE test?” Chen Jiashu couldn’t help but be sour towards him.
He actually nodded his head, “I know. I’ve seen several sets of exam questions from previous years. In fact, the distribution of exam points is more or less the same. The types of questions are also similar. They change the soup but not the medicine. They only change a few parameter variables to reset the shell. There is no need to do additional mock questions. Just read the example questions in the book.”
In a few minutes, he finished highlighting the key points in the book, marking them well. He reached out his hand naturally to take out the remaining few compulsory books from the stack of books in front of him. His brain seemed to have a memory palace. He turned over the textbooks quickly and looked at the number to find the address. Each knowledge point had incomparable precision.
Chen Jiashu failed to raise the bar and ran into the dust. What was she doing? Wasn’t she waiting to be crushed by talking to Chen Du like this?
Her face inexplicably heated up. She bit the candy in her mouth to pieces and swallowed it whole, while Chen Du had almost finished scratching, with some special points carefully annotated.
Chen Jiashu was under a lot of pressure. Now, it was still alright. He explained it line by line, feeding the rice to her mouth. She still had to puff her cheeks desperately to learn it.
The three physics books were folded flat and returned to her, “If you don’t know a problem, you can ask us to discuss it together.” He changed his tune in the middle of a sharp turn of phrase, roundly, and he gave her a look.
“Hmm.”
Chen Jiashu sipped hard on the remaining crumbs of sugar in her mouth and held the words out of her throat, “Thank you.” She said it so quietly that she didn’t want Chen Du to hear it.
Of course, Chen Du heard her and was overjoyed, pursing his lips and smiling, “No thanks.”
He asked her again, “How was maths?” Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.
“Hey, how about taking it one subject at a time? I can’t remember to read so many at once.”
“I’m sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry. Let’s take our time then.” He immediately apologised.
Chen Jiashu exhaled, not sure what kind of mood she was in, “Well, okay.”
Her speech was a little slurred, probably because she had sugar in her mouth, and her voice was tinged with sweetness. It was unlike her usual coldness, with a little softness floating into his heart word by word.
So he jumped up like that, and the surroundings became quiet. Chen Du followed the fragrance scent over, buried his head in her chest, and took a deep breath. From the gleaming fair chest, he kissed her along the road. He kissed her neck and finally stopped at her lips.
Chen Jiashu held the stick of gum in her mouth to block his kiss. She looked at him with her eyes and smiled a little. She reached out and pulled open a drawer to get a box of Pocky out. She threw away the stick of gum, unwrapped a chocolate bar and held it again, moving forward a little. The other end of the chocolate bar rested against his lips. “Open your mouth.”
He opened his mouth and the two of them took separate bites of the end of the bar. Soft light curled in through the window as two bright, moist lips belonging to teenagers slowly drew closer and closer, in a whisper. The bar got shorter and shorter until finally the two pairs of lips were pressed together.
They kissed so naturally. The room was so quiet that you could hear the rustling of the wind blowing leaves outside the window. Chen Jiashu pried open his mouth. Each twist of the lips and tongue amplified the slurping watery sounds and soft moans in each other’s ears.
The images gradually became more and more fragrant as the spring was in full bloom. The opening and closing of their lips growing wider and wider in a swallowing seduction.
Chen Du, having been a great teacher once, was now back to being a good student, letting her claim his mouth. He wrapped his arms around her waist and sat her on his lap with her legs parted.
“Delicious.”
“Is Pocky good or am I good?”
“Both are delicious.” He thought for a moment and gave her another peck on the mouth, “You’re even better.”
Chen Jiashu smiled, “You have honey in your mouth?” The tip of her tongue came out to lick the corner of his mouth. Then, he grabbed her as he pinned her down on the desk and kissed her anew.
Chen Jiashu’s nightgown was torn by him. He had torn no less than ten pieces, but he bought her more, of course. He liked to buy her things; all kinds of beautiful objects: hairpin dolls, jewellery bags, clothes and shoes, preferably from head to toe, inside and out, all his mark.
Chen Du was bewildered and excited to be going back to school tomorrow. Chen Jiashu was due to leave after lunch today, while he had a driver to take him back only tomorrow morning.
He hadn’t spoken to Chen Jiashu at school since the beginning of the school year. The few times he had happened to run into her, she looked at him as indifferently as she did at the school gate that day, walking away before he could say hello. She muddled through, her cold back seemingly separated from the world around her, the way she does to everyone. It was impossible to grasp.
Chen Du kissed her from her lips to the circumference of her face, his hand cupping the bottom of her skirt and reaching in, pushing up along the line of her body.
“Sister.”
“Wait for me tomorrow.”
