Menial Disciples’ Hall.

Liu Hongyu and the others arrived at the hall where the elder overseeing the Menial Disciples stayed.

In their previous life, they had all dealt with him—though back then, they were Personal Disciples of Sword-Hiding Peak and held Emperor Realm cultivation. Even this elder had to greet them respectfully.Full novel: I Refused to Take In Those Ungrateful Disciples Again, and Now They’re Crying to Be Accepted — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Elder Qian!” Liu Hongyu called out directly.

A chubby middle-aged man looked up in surprise.

When his gaze landed on the trio, a flicker of doubt crossed his face. He didn’t recognize them but they knew his name—could they be Personal Disciples from one of the Nine Main Peaks, sent by a Peak Master?

With that thought, he dared not show negligence.

“You are…” Qian Tang asked cautiously.

Meeting his gaze, Liu Hongyu replied with arrogant composure, “Elder Qian, we’re registered disciples newly assigned to the Menial Disciples’ division today.”

Qian Tang was clearly stunned. His expression changed as he looked at her strangely.

“Registered disciples?”

With that tone, anyone listening would think she was a Personal Disciple of the Sect Master!

But in reality, she was just a Menial Disciple under his supervision—not even an Official Disciple yet. Who was she trying to impress?

Annoyance bubbled up within Qian Tang, and his attitude shifted instantly. “What do you want?”

Unaware of the shift in his tone, Liu Hongyu continued with her arrogant demeanor, “Elder Qian, we came to borrow some Marrow-Cleansing Pills.”

Qian Tang: ???

He froze in place, utterly dumbfounded, staring at Liu Hongyu in shock.

“Marrow-Cleansing Pill!?”

“You can rest assured. Once we reach the Emperor Realm, we’ll repay you,” Li Qinghuan said, thinking Qian Tang was simply reluctant and reassuring him with a promise.

“We won’t take it for free. We’ll repay your kindness one day,” Lu Mengyao added, as if they were doing him a great favor.

Qian Tang finally processed their words and couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief. He looked at them like they were fools.

“Who do you think you are?”

“You actually dare ask for Marrow-Cleansing Pills?!”

“Even I, an elder, don’t have any! There’s not a single one in the entire sect, and you—mere Menial Disciples—dare ask for such a divine-grade pill?”

“And you talk about repaying the favor when you reach the Emperor Realm? What a joke!”

Qian Tang lost his temper on the spot, scolding Liu Hongyu, Li Qinghuan, and Lu Mengyao harshly.

To him, these three had clearly lost their minds. Even the sect’s top disciples wouldn’t easily receive such a pill. As Menial Disciples, they shouldn’t even dream of it.

And yet these freshly entered Registered Disciples had the audacity to come to him and ask for a Marrow-Cleansing Pill?

Where did they get the nerve?

Liu Hongyu: ???

Li Qinghuan: !!!

Lu Mengyao: ???

All three were stunned, their minds blank, eyes wide with disbelief as they stared at Qian Tang.

“You dare talk to us like that?” Liu Hongyu shouted, furious.

In their previous life, the entire sect treated them with reverence—even the elders were polite. How could a Menial Disciples’ elder now dare to shout at them?

Liu Hongyu exploded with rage on the spot.

Qian Tang’s expression darkened as he glared coldly at her. “What, not convinced?”

“You planning to fight me?”

He let out a cold snort and instantly released a heavy pressure!

The three women were overwhelmed, their faces turning pale as they struggled to breathe.

Liu Hongyu’s heart trembled. She instantly calmed down, fear flashing across her face.

Only now did she realize—she was just a Registered Disciple of the Menial Division, not a Personal Disciple of Sword-Hiding Peak, and nowhere near the Emperor Realm.

If Qian Tang struck, he could kill her with a single blow.

“E-Elder Qian, I’m sorry! This disciple was wrong!” Liu Hongyu quickly bowed and apologized, no longer daring to argue.

As a Menial Elder, Qian Tang was essentially her direct master. Disrespecting a master could mean expulsion—or even execution!

Even if Qian Tang killed her now, no one would speak up for her.

“Hmph! Now you know you’re wrong?” Qian Tang sneered. “Disciples nowadays are so unruly!” This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

“Who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty in front of me…”

“If you ever speak to me like that again, I’ll kill you!”

He glared at her viciously. If not for the vague feeling that these girls had some backing, he would’ve already acted.

“Yes… I understand,” Liu Hongyu answered, her face flushed with shame.

She burned with humiliation, silently vowing to get revenge one day when she reached the Emperor Realm. She would make Qian Tang pay—tenfold!

“Elder… is it true you don’t even have one Marrow-Cleansing Pill?” Li Qinghuan asked stubbornly.

Without it to enhance her aptitude, her cultivation speed would be terribly slow. She might never reach the Emperor Realm—and wouldn’t even pass the sect assessment in three months, risking expulsion from the Heavenly Mystic Immortal Sect!

Lu Mengyao also looked at Qian Tang with hopeful eyes.

Meeting their stares, Qian Tang snorted and snapped, “If I had any Marrow-Cleansing Pills, I’d have taken them myself!”

“Why else would I be stuck at the Void Refinement Realm after all these years?”

Hearing that, the three girls’ faces filled with disappointment. Only now did they realize how rare and precious the Marrow-Cleansing Pill truly was.

But they clearly remembered that in their previous life, Ye Chen had given them each one—more than once.

That had made them think the pill wasn’t rare at all and could be obtained easily.

Now, after this rejection, they finally understood. The Marrow-Cleansing Pill wasn’t something just anyone had—it might have only existed in Ye Chen’s hands.

“What do we do? Without the Marrow-Cleansing Pill, how can we cultivate?” Liu Hongyu asked bitterly.

Without its help, cultivation would be a grueling process for them. Even breaking through to the 2nd stage Qi Refining Realm would be a challenge.

Li Qinghuan and Lu Mengyao furrowed their brows, frustrated and anxious.

“Hehe,” Qian Tang sneered. “You’d better stop aiming so high. Focus on down-to-earth cultivation—that’s the real path.”

“Marrow-Cleansing Pills aren’t for people like you.”

“In all these years, I’ve never seen such arrogant Registered Disciples. Always dreaming of leaping to the heavens in one step.”

“Forget that fantasy already.”

His words were merciless.

The three girls were burning with shame and resentment—but they didn’t dare explode.

After all, he was the elder, and they were just Registered Disciples.

But one day—they would return this humiliation a hundred, no, a thousand times over!
