AURORA’S POV
I stretched lazily in my bed, as the silk sheets lay cool against my skin as the morning light filtered through my curtains.
I was wearing a satisfied smirk across my face as I replayed the events of the coronation innmy mind.
I was the Alpha’s mate now, the future Luna of the Nightcrest Pack, and everything I had ever wanted was finally falling into place.
My mother had always told me I was destined for greatness, and now that prophecy was becoming a reality.
I could already picture myself standing beside Zane, powerful and adored, while the pack bowed to my every command.
The thought made my heart swell with pride, and I sighed out softly with contentment as I imagined the envious glances from other she wolves who had secretly hoped to catch the Alpha prince’s eye.
I sat up and called out for mother, eager to discuss my plans for the future, the mating ceremony, the dress I would wear, and the way the pack would celebrate my rise to power.
When Mother walked in, I wasted no time.
“Mother, I have been thinking about the ceremony.
I want it to be grand, something the pack will never forget.
I want everyone to see that I am not just any Luna, I am the Luna.
I want flowers, music, and the entire pack gathered to celebrate me.”
My mother smiled warmly at me, her eyes shinning with pride, amd said soothingly, “Of course my dear.
You deserve nothing but the best.
I will start making arrangements immediately.
I have always known you would rise to greatness, Aurora.
You have always been special.”
I nodded with a satisfied smirk on my face, and then I remembered my sister.
I wanted to see Aria’s face, to watch her squirm and suffer in the shadows of my success.
I wanted to remind her that she had lost everything, her boyfriend, her dignity, and now, her place in the family, and that was my favorite sport.
The thought of her miserable expressing brought a cruel smile to my lips.
“Where is Aria, Mother?” I asked, my voice dripping with false sweetness.
“I want to see her.
I want to make sure she is handling everything well.”
My mother waved her hand dismissively, with a cold expression on her face as she said, “I have not seen her all morning.
She is probably hiding in her room, feeling sorry for her self.
Let her be, she is not worth your time, Aurora.
You have more important things to focus on.”
I felt a flicker of satisfaction, as I imagined Aria curled up in bed, crying over her miserable life.
but something nagged at me, a strange curiosity that I could not shake.
I wanted to see her for myself.
I wanted to look into her eyes and watch her break.
Then, I rose up from my bed and made my way to her room, walking confidently with light steps, with my heart pounding with anticipation.
I knocked on the door, but there was no answer.
I knocked again, harder this time, and still nothing.
I became very suspicious, and I pushed the door open to find the room empty, the bed untouched and some of her belongings missing.
The closet was half empty, and the drawer where she kept most of her personal things was slightly open.
I narrowed my eyes as I looked around.
Where had she gone?
She had not said anything about leaving, and my mother did not seem to know either.
Something was not right.
I walked deeper into the room, with my eyes scanning for any clue, and I began opening drawers, and searching for anything that might explain her sudden disappearance.
I pulled open the drawer where she had kept her undergarments and dug through them, my fingers brushing against something hidden at the back.
Then I found it.
I picked it up and stared at it, with my heart pounding as I realized what it was.
A pregnancy test.
And it was positive.
There were two bright red lines staring back at me, mocking me, daring me to understand what it meant.
My mind facer with questions.
Who was the father?
How long has she been hiding this?
And most importantly, how could I use this information to destroy her once and for all?
My hands trembled slightly as I held the test strip.
Not from shock, but from excitement.
This was a weapon I had been waiting for.
I smiled coldly and picketed the test strip, my mimd already racing with possibilities.
Then I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my contacts until I found Gavin’s name.
He had been useful before, and he might be useful again.
Then I called him, and he answered on the second ring, his voice sounding groggy from sleep and surprised.
“Aurora?
What do you want?
It is early.”
“Gavin, I need to ask you something,” I said, in a smooth and sweet voice, masking my true intensions.
“When last did you have sex with my sister?”
There was a long pause on the other line, and then Gavin laughed mockingly, and the sound scratched my ears.
“What?
Are you serious?
I have never had sex with Aria.
That bitch is a prude, Aurora.
She would not even let me hold her hands.
Everytime I tried, she would pull away and say she was not ready.”
I felt a huge wave of satisfaction at his words, and asked, “But are you sure?
You are not lying to me right?”
“Ofcourse I am sure,” Gavin said, his tone dismissive and condescending.
“Amd to be honest with you, I was never really attracted to her anyway.
She is not my type.
She is too plain, too quiet, and too boring.
You know that you are the one I have always wanted, Aurora.
You are the one who drives me crazy.”
I glanced around quickly to make sure that no one was listening, and I lowered my voice to a dangerous whisper.
“Shut up, Gavin.
Do not let anyone hear you say that.
You know what we have is a secret.
If anyone finds out about us, I will deny everything and makes sure you regret ever opening your mouth.”
Gavin laughed again, sounding completely unbothered.
“Relax, Aurora, no one is listening.
I am alone.
But why are you asking me this?
What is going on?”
I hesitated for a moment, then decided to tell him.
“I found a pregnancy test in Aria’s room, and it was positive.” You are reading on g.com, the official source.
Then Gavin laughed even harder, and the sound was cruel and mocking.
“Aria?
Pregnant?
I doubt that very much.
She has no single bone of romance in her body, and she can not seduce a man, even if her life depended on it.
The test can not be hers.
It must belong to someone else.”
I frowned, with my suspicion deepening by the second.
If it was not Gavin’s, then whose is it?
Aria had never been with anyone else, at least not that I knew of.
But my mind drifted back to the coronation, to the way Zane had looked at her, the way his eyes had lingered on her like she was the only person in the room.
I shook my head and pushed the horrible thought away.
It could not be him.
He was my mate.
He was bound to me.
But the thought refused to leave my mind.
I told myself I was over thinking, that I was just paranoid, but I could not shake the feeling that something was not right.
Then I decided that I would not confront Aria yet, not until I had more information.
I needed to know where she had gone, and who she had been with.
I thought about Mira, her only real friend.
If Aria had run anywhere, she would have run to Mira.
I decided I would have someone watch Mira’s house, track her movements, and find out what she was hiding.
I sent a message to one of my Allie’s, a wolf who owed me a favour, and I told him to keep an eye on Mira’s place and report back to me immediately if he saw anything suspicious.
I smiled coldly as I put my phone away.
I would find out the truth, and when I did, I would destroy Aria completely.
I would make sure everyone knew about her pregnancy, and I would make sure she never showed her face in the Nightcrest pack again.
I imagined the whispers, the judgement, and the disgust on everyone’s faces, and the thought made my heart sing.
I walked to my window and stared out at the pack territory, with a cold smile spreading on my face.
Aria had made a mistake by running, and she was going to pay for it.
She had no idea what was coming for her, and I could hardly wait to see the look on her face when everything came crashing down.
Then I whispered to my self softly, my voice filled with venom.
“You are so foolish, sister.
You think you can hide from me?
You think you can escape?
I will find you.
I will find out everything you are hiding.
And when I do, I will destroy you.
You will regret ever being born with me.”
I laughed softly and turned away from the window, already planning my next move.
I was not going to rush.
I was going to be patient.
I was going to gather all the information I needed, and then, I was going to strike.
Aria had no idea what was coming for her.
