Calling someone the Ye Family’s dog was not an insult, but a compliment.

After all, in this day and age, what was wrong with being a dog? Especially the dog of the Ye Family, the number one wealthy family in Jinling.

Ye Feng smiled faintly, then turned and left.

“That guy… he’s not really going to compete with Young Master Zhang for CEO Gu, is he?”

“Who cares? As long as it benefits CEO Gu, that’s all that matters.”

The people in the company had no idea that the man standing before them was the famous Young Master Ye Feng.

They only cared that CEO Gu could find a suitable partner, so she would not have to struggle so much on her entrepreneurial path.

Ye Feng had no intention of arguing with them over this.

As a rich second-generation heir, if he fussed over such trivial matters all day, he would be exhausted.

Right now, he had only one goal. Rush to Yiwexuan as quickly as possible, while making a call to the restaurant owner along the way.

…

Inside Yiwexuan Restaurant, at the V5 seating area.

“Young Master Zhang, there’s no need to eat. Let’s just sign the contract.”

“I would feel bad making you spend so much.”

Gu Yunxiang hesitated. She had come here solely to sign the contract, but since it was mealtime, Zhang Zehao suddenly changed his mind. Instead of signing, he insisted on having a meal first.

Fortunately, he had not made any improper moves yet. Otherwise, Gu Yunxiang would have left immediately.

“Miss Gu, there’s no rush.”

Zhang Zehao, in his early thirties, with slicked-back hair and a gold chain around his neck, looked like a typical nouveau riche.

He said, “This deal is bound to succeed sooner or later. Let’s eat first.”

“I’m your client and your investor. Surely you won’t refuse to share a meal with me.”

“Or is it that Miss Gu refuses to give me, Zhang, any face?”

As he spoke, Zhang Zehao could not help but sneak glances at Gu Yunxiang.

He had to admit, this girl was truly stunning. Especially her dignified temperament, completely different from those models he had played with before.

Zhang Zehao admitted that this woman had piqued his interest.

“Young Master Zhang, if we are discussing the contract, we can continue.”

“But if it’s just a meal, then I will decline. Though I am a woman, I still understand that a gentleman does not drink from stolen springs, nor accept food given with contempt.”

With that, Gu Yunxiang stood up to leave.

She appeared gentle on the outside but was strong within, and highly intelligent. How could she not see Zhang Zehao’s intentions?

She knew that it was not easy for a woman to make her way in society, but she had her own principles. She would never sell herself for anything.

“Miss Gu, Miss Gu, you’re taking it too seriously.”

Zhang Zehao panicked when he saw her about to leave and quickly said, “Miss Gu, let’s sign the contract right now.”

Soon, Zhang Zehao took out the contract, signed his name, and handed it over. “Don’t worry, Miss Gu. I simply admire your talent. What bad intentions could I possibly have?”

The contract was placed right in front of Gu Yunxiang, and Zhang Zehao’s attitude was extremely humble.

As long as it did not involve feelings or hidden rules, Gu Yunxiang could accept it.

She then signed her name on the contract as well.

“Miss Gu, now that the contract is signed, can we share a meal?”

“Just one meal. After that, I’ll immediately arrange the deposit.”

“Miss Gu, I truly admire your talent. Even my mother loved your clothing designs when she saw them.”

Zhang Zehao continued speaking humbly.

As an experienced player in relationships, he knew that a woman like Gu Yunxiang responded better to gentleness than force.

If he tried to control her through pressure, it would backfire. So he changed his strategy and decided to rely on charm.

After all, what women wanted was an excellent man.

Wasn’t the Zhang Family wealthy enough?

Besides, the owner of Yiwexuan was his close friend. Today’s lunch would be his stage.

“A simple meal is enough. There’s no need for you to spend too much, Young Master Zhang.”

Gu Yunxiang remained cautious, unwilling to give him any opportunity.

But since they were now business partners, and he was also her investor, it would be impolite to leave outright.

As long as her principles were not crossed, she was open to making connections.

“Of course.”

Zhang Zehao was delighted and prepared to begin his performance. He gestured and called out, “Waiterr.”

“The English pronunciation is ‘waiter,’” Gu Yunxiang could not help but correct him.

Zhang Zehao: “…”

His momentum immediately dropped, and he no longer dared to act refined, reverting to his true nouveau riche nature.

He let Gu Yunxiang order first, thinking that with so many delicacies on the menu, she surely had never tasted them.

What woman could resist fine food?

But to his surprise, Gu Yunxiang only ordered two vegetarian dishes.

“I’ll order myself.”

Zhang Zehao felt speechless. How could Gu Yunxiang be so resistant? Was she shy?

He then ordered more than a dozen dishes in one go, all signature dishes of Yiwexuan.

However, after more than ten minutes, aside from the two vegetable dishes Gu Yunxiang ordered, none of Zhang Zehao’s dishes arrived.

“What’s going on? Where are my dishes?”

Zhang Zehao called over a waiter and demanded an explanation.

“Sorry, sir. All the dishes you ordered are sold out,” the waiter replied.

“Sold out?”

Zhang Zehao’s eyes widened in disbelief. Then he saw another waiter carrying several of the dishes he had ordered to a nearby table.

If he remembered correctly, that table had arrived later than them.

Zhang Zehao exploded with anger. “Are you messing with me? Do you know who I am? Call your boss here!”

“Sorry, sir. Our boss isn’t here today. And yes, I am messing with you. What are you going to do about it?”

The waiter smiled faintly.

“This…”

Gu Yunxiang was stunned, unable to understand what was happening.

“What did you say?”

Zhang Zehao had never suffered such humiliation. Yiwexuan was his friend’s restaurant.

How could he be bullied here?

Enraged, Zhang Zehao threw a punch at the waiter.

He missed.

The waiter moved quickly and dodged, then immediately fell to the ground and shouted, “Security! Someone is attacking!”

Soon, security guards arrived. They had met Zhang Zehao before.

“I want to see your boss!”

Zhang Zehao shouted, thinking he had finally found familiar faces.

Damn it. He had already lost face in front of Gu Yunxiang. He had to regain it.

“So you’re the one causing trouble.”

“Kid, quite bold. Do you even know where you are?”

The security guards frowned and scolded him.

Zhang Zehao: “?????”

“You don’t recognize me?”

“I am Zhang Zehao, young vice president of the Zhang Group. Your boss is my close friend.”

Zhang Zehao felt extremely frustrated.

“Don’t know him. Do you know him?”

“I don’t either. But anyone who causes trouble here gets dragged out and beaten first.”

“Agreed. Beat him first.”

With that, several security guards rolled up their sleeves and dragged Zhang Zehao out in front of everyone.

Zhang Zehao struggled desperately, but he was nothing more than a weak showpiece. How could he possibly fight trained guards?

This scene left Gu Yunxiang completely stunned.

“Miss, this is a dish sent to you by the gentleman at the next table.”

“Please enjoy.”

Before she could recover, a waiter suddenly brought over several exquisite dishes.

“The next table?”

Gu Yunxiang instinctively looked over and suddenly saw a familiar figure. She blurted out, “Brother Ye Feng!”
