Lunch break.
In an empty classroom, Takuma Kunimi stretched in silence.
He spread his legs wide apart, took a deep breath, and assumed a fighting stance toward the wall.
Whoosh.
A long, graceful Taekwondo kick sliced through the air with practiced precision.
"...Phew."
After catching his breath, Takuma found himself humming without even thinking about it.
"Boyoyon, boyoyon... Roooock..."
His voice echoed strangely through the quiet classroom.
It was an old song by a Japanese rock band his mother used to play in the car when he was little.
For some reason, it had recently gotten stuck in his head.
And somehow, he always ended up singing it at the same moments—
Whenever he was alone.
Whenever he let his guard down.
Whenever his mood felt... boyoyon.
"Boyoyon, boyoyon—"
"WOULD YOU CUT IT OUT ALREADY?!"
The classroom door slammed open.
Takuma turned around.
There stood Mikiko Izumi, her face bright red, hands planted firmly on her hips.
"You were singing it AGAIN, weren't you?! Boyoyon Rock! How many times do I have to tell you to stop?!"
"...Uh... I don't know."
Takuma tilted his head.
"It's kind of a habit."
Mikiko marched straight into the room.
"Seriously! I told you before—stop singing in the classroom! It's embarrassing! For the people who have to listen to it!"
"...Is it really that bad?"
"'That bad'?! YES, IT IS!"
Seeing her raise a fist in frustration, Takuma gave a small bow.
"Sorry. I'll try to stop."
"...Please do. Next time I'm throwing a piece of chalk at you. I'm serious."
She huffed, looked away...
...yet instead of leaving, she quietly sat down beside a nearby desk.
Takuma blinked.
"Why are you sitting down?"
"No reason."
She crossed her arms.
"Just taking a break."
He never noticed.
He never noticed that she had searched the entire school just to find this empty classroom.
He never noticed the faint blush on her cheeks.
He never noticed the two packs of chocolate snacks she was still holding in one hand.
