Sui Wuyou’s sharp, rapid-fire voice hit like a barrage, leaving everyone present wide-eyed, unable to believe what they were seeing.

This was the little fool of the Sui family—the one who couldn’t even speak?

This sharp-tongued, heart-piercing little girl was supposed to be the Sui family’s “fool”?Full novel: I Transmigrated You Reincarnated — Farming Getting Rich and Taking Down the Villains — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The villagers watching the scene exchanged stunned glances.

At that moment, the village chief, holding his old back and gasping for breath, ran over from a distance, shouting:

“Everyone, stop! Quickly pull them apart!”

Sui Wuyou’s sharp eyes caught sight of an elderly man wearing different clothing approaching.

She kicked the two boys one more time before swiftly retreating behind Old Man Sui.

The village chief finally arrived, hands on his hips, breathing heavily.

After a moment, he regained his composure, coldly scanning the Sui and Shi families:

“What’s going on here? Everyone’s making a complete mess.”

Old Madam Sui and Old Madam Shi were pulled apart by fellow villagers.

Old Madam Shi had suffered a heavy loss. She slapped her thigh, collapsing to the ground in tears:

“Village Chief… they’re bullying people… you must stand up for us!”

Old Madam Sui casually tossed Old Madam Shi’s hair to the ground, scratching her own disheveled hair:

“Village Chief, you decide. Shi Mangguan and Shi Mangang smashed my Wuyou’s head.”

She reached for Sui Wuyou, who had hidden behind Old Man Sui, and pulled her out, pointing to the old cloth bandage wrapped around her forehead:

“Everyone look—my Wuyou had a huge gash on her head. Back then the blood flowed like a little river. If it weren’t for her luck, she wouldn’t have survived.”

Although the wound on Wuyou’s head no longer bled, the old cloth was still stained with blood.

All eyes fell on Sui Wuyou, increasing their disgust toward the two Shi boys.

From the crowd, someone exclaimed:

“My heavens! With that much blood loss, even a few old hens wouldn’t make her recover!”

Aunt Guiying stood nearby, fuming at the injustice:

“Those little brats, Shi Mangguan and Shi Mangang, really need a proper lesson. Look at Wuyou—what if she’s left with a scar?”

Next door, Sister Juxiang chimed in:

“Exactly. Wuyou’s as delicate as a flower. If she’s scarred, it would be such a shame.”

Her household suffered from the Shi family’s constant mischief.

The Shi boys were notorious in the village—stealing chickens, causing chaos—but Old Madam Shi always covered for them.

If they caused trouble, she would turn it around, claiming outsiders were bullying her precious grandsons.

In Yuliu Village, the Shi family had a notorious reputation, universally disliked.

Old Madam Shi, reckless and shameless, delighted in this chaos.

Now, after suffering a loss and seeing the villagers blame her grandsons, her temper flared.

Spitting a wad of thick phlegm, she slapped her thin thighs and leaped three feet high:

“I spit on you vile, shameless women! Mouths full of filth—watch me tear your mouths apart!”

Old Madam Sui didn’t flinch. She stepped forward, chin raised:

“Oh really, Old Madam Shi, you think I’m afraid of you? Come, come, try and tear one, let’s see.”

The village chief, face stern, scanned the scene, finally resting his gaze on Sui Wuyou’s forehead.

Frowning deeply, he turned to Old Man Shi and spoke sternly:

“Since it was your Shi boys who struck the girl Wuyou, your family will provide an old hen to help her recover. Also, your family must pay the expenses for the physician.”

The village chief had a deep disdain for the Shi family, who thought they could do whatever they wanted just because they had many sons.

Yuliu Village was famous for its honest and kind villagers. The chief could not allow the Shi family to ruin that reputation.

Old Madam Shi, hearing that her family had to pay and provide a hen, was furious.

Her cloudy triangular eyes shot a hateful glare at Sui Wuyou before she slammed her thigh, collapsing to the ground in tears and wailing:

“Oh my heavens! Why don’t you strike down those shameless brats? Open your eyes—people are bullying right at our doorstep, and we’re the ones paying! Is there no justice in the world?”

Old Madam Shi’s cries were long and loud but empty of action.

While she cried, she suddenly stopped, blew her nose forcefully, flicking snot forward, then wiped her hand on her pants.

The village chief narrowly dodged, fuming and flaring his nostrils.

Before he could speak, Madam Chen came storming over, furious:

“Village Chief, look at that fool from the Sui family! Look what she did to my Mangang and Mangguan.”

The village chief leaned back to avoid her flying spit, pointing a trembling finger at her in anger:

“This is utterly absurd! You’re openly lying. If you said someone hit your sons, I’d believe you—but claiming the girl Wuyou struck them? Do you take me for blind?”

Everyone knew Wuyou was a fool—she even needed help eating. Saying she struck someone was laughable.

Madam Chen stomped her feet, shoving Shi Mangguan and Shi Mangang before the village chief:

“Village Chief, you can’t favor the Sui family! Look at my Mangang and Mangguan…”

She tugged them, but the two boys were only dirty with mud and dust—no bruises at all.

The village chief, disgusted, stepped back a few paces, hands behind his back, glancing warningly at Old Man Shi:

“Shi idiots, if your women can’t behave and keep causing trouble, your whole family will get kicked out of Yuliu Village.”

Old Man Shi panicked. If his family were expelled, how would they survive?

He argued vehemently: “Village Chief, what benefit did the Sui family give you to favor them? My Mangang and Mangguan didn’t even hit the fool. Who saw this? It’s Wuyou who came to extort us!”

After finishing, he turned to the crowd watching the commotion.

Unexpectedly, a straight-backed, shabby yet striking young boy stepped forward and said expressionlessly:

“Village Chief, I saw it!”

Yesterday, the Sui family’s little fool had been sitting at the doorway when Shi Mangang and Shi Mangguan hit her with stones.

Her forehead bled profusely, covering her face, yet she didn’t even cry, sitting there dazed and dumb.

The boy had feared she might bleed out completely, which is why he had knocked on the Sui house door.

Seeing Old Madam Sui come out, he quietly slipped away.

The village chief, already furious at Old Man Shi’s claim of receiving benefits from the Sui family, now coldly glared at him and said:

“Shi idiot, what else do you have to say? The Sui children keep to themselves every day, never mingling with your family.”
