The phone vibrated, and Lu Xianyan unlocked it immediately.
Shu Ci: “Then let’s choose this one.”
It was in reply to his previous message: “Baby, which movie do you want to watch?”
Shu Ci picked a suspenseful, colorful horror film. There weren’t many people in the theater. Just as Lu Xianyan was choosing seats, Shu Ci’s message came through: “I’ve picked!”
Shu Ci: “Little bird, hands on hips, jpg.”Shu Ci: “I used your ‘wife funds’ to buy it!”
Lu Xianyan stared at his phone, imagining Shu Ci making those little gestures in person.
…Too cute.
He couldn’t help but want to kiss him.
For their first date, Shu Ci had tidied up a little before leaving.
His yellow down jacket made his skin look even fairer. Combined with his light-colored, pretty eyes, he looked bright and lively, drawing plenty of attention in the cinema.
Lu Xianyan protected him possessively, subtly entwining his fingers with Shu Ci’s.
Perhaps because Shu Ci had gotten used to Lu Xianyan being so close these past few days, he didn’t even notice that they were holding hands outside, letting the man entwine him.
He focused on the display at the counter.“You don’t like sweet things, right? Then let’s just get some popcorn and two cokes, okay?”
Lu Xianyan went to the counter.
Shu Ci sat in an empty seat nearby. Looking around, he noticed everyone else was paired up.
Only then did he realize… this was a date.
When Lu Xianyan returned with popcorn and cokes, the atmosphere of the date intensified.
After Lu Xianyan sat down, Shu Ci leaned slightly closer, his nose twitching.
Lu Xianyan tensed, narrowing his eyes.
“You wore the perfume today?” Shu Ci noticed it immediately, pleased that Lu Xianyan liked the gift. He lifted his chin slightly in pride. “I knew I picked the right one. I knew you liked citrus scents.”
Lu Xianyan looked at him: “Hm?”
“Your shampoo and body wash are all this scent.”
Lu Xianyan: “You like it because it smells like sweet orange.”
Shu Ci froze at the sudden confession. When their eyes met, he felt like he could get lost in Lu Xianyan’s dark gaze.
Feeling awkward, he looked away and raised his arm to sniff his own wrist.
…But it didn’t smell like anything.
The movie started.
Shu Ci whispered confidently after settling into their seats:“If you get scared, just hold onto my arm.”
Unexpectedly, Lu Xianyan really was scared of the movie and held onto him the entire time.
Shu Ci, being held, broke into a fine sweat.
He had come to watch the movie seriously, but by the time it ended, he felt inspired and kept talking to Lu Xianyan all the way home.
Halfway through, he noticed Lu Xianyan staring intently at his mouth. He scolded him:“You… don’t just stare at me! Listen to what I’m saying!”
Lu Xianyan: “I am listening.”
Shu Ci didn’t believe him:“Then what did I just say?”
Lu Xianyan repeated everything, even clarifying the key points.
Shu Ci widened his eyes, wanting to scold him but swallowed the words.
“Okay, your intelligence is really impressive.”
Lu Xianyan chuckled quietly.
Seeing Shu Ci’s little face still uninterested, he whispered: “Then… can I kiss other places?”
Shu Ci immediately became alert, shaking his head: “No.”
“Alright.” His tone carried a trace of regret.
Although Lu Xianyan’s kisses and hugs were intense and his words embarrassingly direct, he was obedient enough.
Shu Ci had just relaxed when, a second later, Lu Xianyan added:“What about there? Is it okay?”
…Wha—what?
Shu Ci couldn’t believe what he’d heard, thinking he misheard.
Looking down at himself, he realized… he was flat. There was nothing even if he tried to push.
Shu Ci firmly rejected Lu Xianyan.
He had been kissed until he was sweating, sticky and messy, and had gone straight to the bathroom after Lu Xianyan climbed on him.
After the shower, he hadn’t even spent half an hour in his bedroom when Lu Xianyan knocked, saying he missed him.
He was clingy.
But Shu Ci understood—Lu Xianyan was like this because he liked him. He wouldn’t be harsh toward someone who truly liked him.
That night, Lu Xianyan earned the right to stay in the same room.
Only, they didn’t sleep in the same bed.
Shu Ci was puzzled. His bed was large; even with another adult in the middle, there’d still be space. Yet Lu Xianyan didn’t mind and laid down on a mat beside him.
The room wasn’t cold, so Lu Xianyan wasn’t uncomfortable. Shu Ci, after watching him settle, said nothing further.
After a few nights, Shu Ci finally couldn’t resist and tried to persuade him back to his own bed.
“I don’t like turning on the lights at night. Last night, I stepped on you.”
His foot landed solidly, making Lu Xianyan groan, which startled Shu Ci so much that he fell on top of him.
Feeling his full weight on Lu Xianyan, Shu Ci apologized:“I probably hurt you. Plus, it’s not good for you to sleep on the floor.”
Unexpectedly, Lu Xianyan replied, astonishingly:“I’m not hurt. I’m… comfortable.”
Shu Ci widened his eyes.
Lu Xianyan: “Do you think I’m perverted?”
Shu Ci hesitated a few seconds, then answered honestly: “A little.”
“I have even more perverted thoughts about you,” Lu Xianyan stopped himself, finally saying no more. “Anyway, whether you step on me or sit on me, it all feels good.”
The more he said, the stranger it got.
When he opened his mouth again, Shu Ci quickly ran over and covered it:“Alright, alright! No more talking! I know… you really are… perverted.”
Maybe it was just that he had suppressed his feelings for too long.
Compared to Lu Xianyan’s love for biting, these words were just a small step further.
Since Shu Ci had forbidden Lu Xianyan from kissing him, he had switched to biting. While brushing teeth together in the bedroom, he would suddenly attack Shu Ci’s cheeks, biting him.
The first time, Shu Ci was stunned, unable to care about his wet collar, just staring at him blankly.
The consequence? Another bite—this time on the ear.
“Lu Xianyan, are you catching this from me?” Shu Ci’s voice weakened. “My condition is almost healed.”
Lu Xianyan replied:“Wife, you’re too cute. I can’t help wanting to bite.”
Shu Ci shivered at this term, blurting out:“Wha—what did you just call me?”
“Wife,” Lu Xianyan said plainly.
Shu Ci didn’t blush this time.
