The four main girls —
Arwen, Selena, Drakynia, and Rosalia
— sat in a circle, a whiteboard in front of them. Written in bold at the top:
“MISSION: WIN THE JANITOR’S HEART”
Arwen
: (serious)
“So. We’ve all fallen for him, yes?”
Drakynia
: (blushing)
“He caught a flaming ceiling with one hand and told me to drink more water. Of course I have.”
Selena
: (sweating)
“I analyzed his mana. His beauty. His… mop technique. He’s statistically perfect.”
Rosalia
: (clutching a stuffed mop plushie)
“I have already designed our future children’s names.”
All
: "...Fair."
Phase 1: What Does Zephyr Like?
Selena
brings out a list of Zephyr’s observed habits:
•Drinks black coffee
•Talks to brooms like friends
•Reads books about magical history
•Smiles only when mopping
Drakynia
: “Does he even have emotions?”
Arwen
: “I saw him pat a lost puppy once.”
Rosalia
: “Blessed is the puppy.”
Phase 2: Gift Ideas
Each girl proposes a gift to win Zephyr's attention:
Arwen
: A scarf she knit herself, enchanted to stay warm forever
Selena
: A handbound research journal with their memories together
Drakynia
: A legendary dragon tooth… turned into a mop handle
Rosalia
: A hand-written hymn titled “Oh Zephyr, Mop My Heart Clean”
Phase 3: Execution Fails (Of Course)
Arwen’s scarf gets mistaken for a cursed artifact and causes a snowstorm in the faculty lounge.
Selena’s journal is accidentally picked up by the headmaster and now the entire school thinks she has a crush on him.
Drakynia’s dragon-mop emits fire every time it’s used — the faculty garden burns down.
Rosalia’s song is mistaken for an ancient summoning chant and summons… a divine cleaning spirit.
The Twist
Zephyr walks by, raises an eyebrow, and says:
“Thanks, I guess? I was just going to eat lunch.”
He leaves.
The girls stare.
Selena
: “Lunch…! That’s it.”
