Morning, and as usual it was Haibara’s dull Japanese class.

In those near-hypnotic hours, the students dozed drowsily, and the teacher up on the platform showed no motivation whatsoever.

Still, in the front row, Kirishima Ai and Sakaki Chika were both listening intently.Full novel: I, Your Teacher, Am Actually a Villainous Magical Girl! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lately, Haibara’s class had been peaceful—probably because no Weirdo had shown up.

Haibara and Shaqina had agreed to hold off on deploying Weirdos until the weekend.

That way, even if the girls had to mobilize as magical girls, it wouldn’t affect her performance record.

Suddenly, Haibara noticed her phone buzz once on the lectern.

She paid it no mind and simply carried on with the lesson.

At that same moment, in their seats, Kirishima Ai, Sakaki Chika, and Takanashi Shiori all froze.

The three of them had been listening along perfectly well, but now they suddenly exchanged glances—you look at me, I look at you.

Kirishima Ai gave Sakaki Chika a meaningful look with her eyes.

Sakaki Chika’s eyes went wide, and then she shook her head frantically in a panic.

She looked to Takanashi Shiori, but that one had already lowered her head, pretending to know nothing.

Kirishima Ai instantly went dead-fish-eyed.

After a moment, a voice that nearly stopped Haibara’s heart rang out—

“Teacher, excuse me.”

The hand holding Haibara’s chalk trembled.

She was silent for a while, then turned around to see Kirishima Ai in the front row once again rising to her feet with resolute determination.

The two of them stayed silent for a while, as if in a standoff.

In the end, it was Haibara who cracked first:

“Kirishima, is there something you need?”

Bearing the brunt of Haibara’s icy gaze, Kirishima Ai once again repeated the excuse she’d already given countless times:

“Teacher, my stomach hurts.”

The whole class turned their eyes toward Kirishima Ai.

They all wore looks of deep admiration, once again won over by Kirishima Ai’s courage in defying the teacher—as if she didn’t hold the teacher in the slightest regard.

Haibara watched her with a cold gaze for a moment, in no hurry to answer, and merely reached for her phone and unlocked it.

On it was a text from Shaqina:

[Miss Haibara, sorry—the new Weirdo ran off on its own.]

“……”

Haibara half wanted to become a magical girl herself and go destroy this Weirdo.

She raised her head again and looked at Kirishima Ai:

“You have five minutes.

If you’re not back in five minutes, you can expect a trip to my office.”

“Thank you, Teacher.”

Kirishima Ai dashed out, leaving behind only a grim-faced Haibara.

The air in the classroom turned oppressive, and the students who remained hardly dared to breathe.

After a while, Haibara returned to her earlier cold, calm demeanor, turned around, and continued the lesson.

Less than five minutes into it, she heard her phone buzz again.

This time, she didn’t ignore her phone.

Haibara turned and, expressionless, opened her phone.

On it was a new text from Shaqina:

[Miss Haibara!

The new Weirdo is incredibly powerful—the magical girl Silver Feather is no match for it at all.

We’re winning big!]

The magical girl Silver Feather was about to be defeated—something that should have been cause for joy.

But Haibara wasn’t in any rush to pop the champagne.

The little girl who had stood up trembled nonstop, too frightened to lift her head, and only stammered in a low voice:

“T-Teacher…”

“……Speak.”

“I… I have a stomachache too.”

Sakaki Chika said it with a smile that looked on the verge of tears.

For some reason, Haibara felt no particular emotion at this point—she just felt her mood suddenly grow serene.

She even smiled a little.

Only, it was unusually cold.

“You and Kirishima—get ready to come to my office together afterward.”

……

Not long after the battle began, the invincible magical girl Silver Feather was knocked to the ground by the new Weirdo, sprawled there with her mouth agape and her eyes squeezed shut.

This battle was taking place in an amusement park.

Because of the Weirdo’s rampage, the Ferris wheel had ground to a halt, and a large section of the roller coaster track had broken and fallen away.

People fled in every direction in a panic, and screams filled the air.

And this time, what panicked them even more was that even the magical girl had been struck down.

Beneath the Ferris wheel stood a bizarre, eerie humanoid creature—what people commonly called a Weirdo.

This time’s Weirdo had very obvious features.

Like a person wearing a pterosaur costume, this Weirdo had a pterosaur’s pair of wings and rough skin covered in fine, dense patterns.

Its head was a pterosaur’s maw, out of which extended a pale human-face mask.

The magical girl Silver Feather lay on the ground gasping, all the while watching this thing.

What the hell was it this time?

It had wings—could it be a Bird-type Weirdo?

But she herself was a Bird-type magical girl; there was no way she couldn’t sense a Bird’s power.

Sure, this thing did carry something like a Bird’s aura, but…

A Magic Crystal on her began to shine—it was that dark green Magic Crystal from before.

This one was a Snake too?

“Magical girl Silver Feather, I’ve finally awaited this day.

So now, forever engrave into your memory the Weirdo who defeated you!

I am the brand-new Snake-type Weirdo—the Pterosaur Kaijin!”

The Pterosaur Kaijin spread its wings, cackling with a weird laugh.

So it really was a pterosaur.

But… what did a pterosaur have to do with a Snake?

She hadn’t studied much, so don’t go trying to fool her.

The magical girl Silver Feather tried to climb up off the ground to keep fighting, but this time’s Weirdo really was in a completely different league than the ones before.

It was probably even stronger than the earlier Thorn Monster.

Just as she got to her feet, she quickly sensed a familiar magical aura.

Turning around, Silver Feather saw a small, slight figure appear at a corner of the amusement park.

Sakaki Chika.

So she’d finally come…

Silver Feather let out a sigh of relief.

“Hmph… so there’s another magical girl.

Which magical girl is it this time?”

Looking at Sakaki Chika in her ordinary human form, the Pterosaur Kaijin figured it could take on two at once.

“S-Sorry… I’m late.”

Sakaki Chika walked over with small steps, took a deep breath, and then slowly raised the thing she’d been holding in her hand all along.

It was a gorgeous, microphone-like magic wand, elaborate and flamboyant in design, its very tip pure white, like a flower bud waiting to bloom.

This was her Transform Magic Tool, called the “Magician.”

She brought her lips gently close to the microphone:

“M-Mic… mic check.”

After this soft call, the flower bud at the wand’s tip suddenly bloomed, revealing the differently colored gems of red and green within, and at the very center of the petals was a slot— New chapters come out on novelping.com first.

[Activation confirmed…]

Then she took off the pendulum she’d always worn around her neck and fitted it into the very center of the magic wand—

[—Iris.]

What she used was the Flower-type crystal, “Iris.”

Once this Magic Crystal was set in place, the magic wand burst into radiance, and the light became an ethereal flower bud that wrapped her whole body inside it.

“Transform…”

Sakaki Chika said in the faintest of voices.

Dreamlike iridescent light scattered like petals, and within that bud, the girl’s silhouette gradually stretched taller, its outline growing more vivid and distinct.

The girl’s figure became taller and more graceful, draped in layer upon layer of gorgeous, petal-like garments, like intricate, overlapping petals cascading down, and her hair was dyed a dreamlike pink.

[Entertainment!

Smiles!

Dreams!]

Compared to Silver Feather’s transformation, this magical girl’s transformation jingle was far more cheerful.

And when the rebirth was complete, the last petal drifted down, and from it a dreamlike magical girl was born.

After stepping out, the girl lightly raised her hand and snapped her fingers—

“—Snap!”

[Magical girl—Star Flower!]

With the sound of the snap, the light turned into scattered petals that fell from the sky like brilliant fireworks, and the girl amid the rain of petals looked almost excessively glamorous.

Once the transformation was complete, she was no longer Sakaki Chika but the magical girl Star Flower.

She lightly waved the now-elongated magic wand in her hand, as if imitating a conductor, but more like an elegant magician—

“The magician girl of the century makes her gorgeous entrance~”

She was like a completely different person from a moment ago, flashing a playful smile.

The magical girl Star Flower—the Flower Magician, skilled in all manner of gorgeous magic.

Even though she’d transformed from Sakaki Chika, her personality was completely different from when she was an ordinary person.

She looked at Silver Feather and gave a little smile:

“Xiao Ai, let’s settle this quickly.

It wouldn’t do to make the adorable Ms.

Haibara angry.”

After all, she was a magical girl who was going to bring smiles to everyone—especially to all the cute girls.

“……Huh?”

Silver Feather was stunned.

“Adorable” and “Ms.

Haibara”—could those two words even go together?

The magical girl Star Flower now raised the magic wand in her hand and pointed it at the Pterosaur Kaijin:

“So now, let’s cast the miracle magic that makes everyone smile.”

…

After class, Haibara stayed silent the whole time, just staring at her phone screen with lightless eyes.

Only Takanashi Shiori, oblivious to the danger, curiously leaned in and glanced at the screen:

“Teacher, what are you looking at?”

Haibara said in an utterly icy voice—

“Yu-Gi-Oh!

ARC-V.”
