“He will mimic the corresponding behaviors of these animals.

Worse, he will completely see himself as a beast, forgetting his identity as a human.

This will be an extremely critical juncture in his complete recovery.”

Aurora Rivers nodded emphatically.

“Okay, I understand.

Thank you, doctor.”

“Also, Miss Rivers, you must remember: no matter the circumstances, fantasizing that you are loved is the most severe form of psychological illness.” The doctor grabbed Aurora Rivers’s arm, his expression serious.

Aurora Rivers’s eyes widened, and her throat went tight and dry.

“I know.”

She got up to leave and saw Winston Wyatt waiting obediently by the door.

She reached out and ruffled his hair.

Winston subconsciously lowered his head.

Aurora’s expression softened, her eyes filled with a dense, aching tenderness.

“Let’s go.

We’re going home.”

The VIP floor was less crowded, but to leave the hospital, they still had to pass through a congested area.

Aurora Rivers led Winston Wyatt through the throng of people, brushing past shoulders.

Suddenly, she froze in place.

Her eyes widened, her pupils contracting sharply in shock.

Sensing that something was wrong, Winston Wyatt was about to ask what was the matter when he saw Aurora quickly weave past one pedestrian after another, rushing forward.

Seeing that a gap of several yards had already opened between them, Winston immediately gave chase.

Aurora’s breathing was rapid, and she was repeatedly blocked as she tried to cross through.

Anxious, she pushed past people, tossing out a constant stream of “Excuse me”s.

But when she arrived at her destination, the spot was empty.

Aurora’s gaze frantically scanned the area.

She spun around on the spot but saw nothing, only a sea of unfamiliar faces.

“Teacher, what’s wrong?

Are you looking for someone?

I can help you look,” Winston Wyatt asked with concern.

‘In his eyes, Aurora Rivers was composed, calm, and incomparably resilient.

She was a harbor from the storm, a mother’s embrace, the very definition of gentleness, strength, and dependability.

It was rare to see her so frantic and flustered, so utterly lost.’

Aurora Rivers’s brow furrowed, her turbulent emotions refusing to settle.

Having failed to find the person she was looking for, she looked dejected.

“It’s nothing.

I must have seen things.”

‘Was it someone important?’ Winston grew wary.

‘It couldn’t be the fifth one, could it?

Although, this is his territory.’

‘Someone very important…’

Aurora Rivers thought back to that devilishly handsome man, the one who had died for her time and time again. Get faster updates on g.com.

She had traveled back twenty years to save the world more than once.

Every time she did, that man would die right in front of her.

And after each journey to the past, she would be transported to the side of a different one of the young villains.

“Teacher, my chest feels tight, I’m short of breath, and my heart is racing.

I feel really sick.” Winston said nervously, intentionally blocking Aurora Rivers’s view of the crowd.

His words instantly pulled Aurora’s attention back.

“Let’s go.

We need to get out of here.”

When they got to the car, Isla Chambers was already waiting in the front passenger seat.

Aurora Rivers and Winston Wyatt sat in the back.

Isla was silent the entire way, deliberately trying to make herself unnoticeable.

She stared out the window, her heart filled with sorrow as she lamented her fate.

‘I feel just like the tragic heroine of some melodrama, completely powerless over my own destiny.’

Aurora Rivers didn’t say much either, the image of a certain man floating in her mind.

Winston Wyatt, for his part, rested with his eyes closed.

He hadn’t been lying; the hospital truly did make him uncomfortable.

It was just that with Aurora Rivers there, the symptoms were at a tolerable level.

On top of that, his condition had flared up again.

And although it was intentionally triggered, his mind truly felt weak and exhausted.

His head tilted to the side, and Winston’s head came to rest on Aurora Rivers’s shoulder.

She reached out to support his head, adjusting his position to make sure he was comfortable.

This heartwarming scene was incredibly jarring to Isla Chambers.

She spied on them through the rearview mirror.

‘I keep saying I hope Winston will let me go and allow me to leave the Wyatt family once he has someone else, but… why am I so unhappy when he’s actually getting close to someone else, when he has someone else in his eyes…?’

…

As soon as the framed photo was ready, Mr.

King immediately gave it to Winston Wyatt to inspect.

Very satisfied, Winston went to share it with Aurora Rivers.

He excitedly discussed it with her.

“Should we put it on the cabinet or hang it up?

If we put it on the cabinet, which angle looks best?

If we hang it, where would be the best spot?”

Aurora Rivers wasn’t nearly as conflicted.

“Either is fine.”

“Oh, right, Winston.

I heard Victoria Sutton mention she’s a young lady of the Blackwood family.

And Silas Blackwood… can you tell me about them?”

Holding the photo frame, the happy expression on Winston Wyatt’s face froze, and his heart clenched.

He said, “Victoria Sutton is indeed a young lady of the Blackwood family, but she has no blood relation to Silas Blackwood.

She was never formally registered in the household, so she can’t be called his sister.

Victoria wasn’t originally part of the Blackwood family.

Her parents passed away, and because their generation was close with the Blackwoods, she was raised in their household from a young age.

To be precise, she’s the family’s ward.” ‘Another way to put it would be a child bride, since Silas Blackwood is very fond of her.’

‘But no matter how much he liked her, it couldn’t change the fact that Victoria is a drama queen who just had to fall for the Blackwood family’s illegitimate son, Kian Blackwood.’

Winston Wyatt looked down on Victoria Sutton, so he didn’t say that last part out loud to Aurora Rivers.

Hearing this, Aurora Rivers nodded, now understanding the relationship.

From a distance, Isla Chambers hid behind a wall, eavesdropping on their conversation.

She had been walking over and saw the two of them standing together.

She had originally wanted to find Winston Wyatt to talk about her father, but seeing this scene, she subconsciously held back.

Perhaps it was because she didn’t want anyone besides Winston to see her in such a pleading state.

So, she hid instinctively.

Upon hearing Victoria Sutton’s name, Isla Chambers was perplexed.

‘They’re talking about Victoria Sutton?’

‘Could it be about that time Victoria went to cause trouble for Aurora Rivers?’

Isla’s heart clenched with anxiety.

But she quickly calmed herself down.

‘It’s not like I was the one who told Victoria to bother Aurora Rivers.

Besides, that was days ago.’

Winston Wyatt continued, “Silas Blackwood is, without a doubt, the current head of the Blackwood family.

His schedule is packed.

One second he might be at the office or at home, and the next he could be out of the country.

I haven’t seen him in a long time, either.”

Aurora Rivers nodded.

“I see.

Is he in good health?” After what happened with Winston, Aurora was most concerned about the physical well-being of the others.

“He’s great.

About six-foot-two, built like a rock.

He can eat, drink, run, and jump with the best of them.” Winston said with sincerity.

He wasn’t lying.

Aurora Rivers was speechless.

‘Is that really how you describe a young man?’

Aurora Rivers smiled faintly.

“That’s good to hear.

I wonder if he still remembers me, or what he looks like now.” ‘It’s been twenty years.

The little baby has grown into a mature adult.

His appearance must have changed completely.’
