Winston Wyatt was stunned.

He understood what she meant.

The teacher who had appeared before him twenty years ago was from the future.Full novel: I’m 20 Years Old — Why Do I Have Six Grown Sons? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

So his teacher hadn’t really died.

She had just returned to her own world.

And so, twenty years later, they were reunited.

Winston Wyatt was overcome with joy, but then a thought suddenly struck him.

Based on their actual ages, he was six years older than his teacher!

Winston Wyatt’s eyelashes fluttered.

Not only were the tips of his ears red, but his handsome face was also blushing furiously.

Aurora Rivers knew what he was thinking and let out a laugh at how cute he was being.

Mr.

King was utterly shocked.

The head of the family’s phone undoubtedly contained all sorts of confidential files, yet he just let her look at it so casually?

Wasn’t he afraid that Aurora Rivers would leak them to rival powers and cause immeasurable losses?

The level of trust was astounding.

And the way the two of them interacted, it was as if they had known each other for years.

It was obvious their relationship was anything but ordinary.

Mr.

King found it strange.

He had been by the family head’s side for well over a decade, yet he had never seen Aurora Rivers before.

When Mr.

King looked at Aurora Rivers again, he could sense a deep air of mystery about her.

Tapping a number she knew by heart onto the screen, Aurora Rivers tried calling her parents again and again, but the calls wouldn’t go through.

She wasn’t too surprised, though.

Her parents were biologists who often traveled to remote, unknown regions with no signal to research flora and fauna, quietly contributing to the development of humanity by expanding encyclopedias and field guides.

Still, because she had been so looking forward to it, Aurora Rivers felt a pang of disappointment.

She had to settle for leaving them a private message.

“What’s wrong?” Winston Wyatt asked hastily, noticing the dim look on her face.

“I want to go home and see them.”

“G-Go home?” Winston Wyatt froze, a storm raging in his mind.

‘That’s right, my teacher is from this time, so of course she has a family here.’ “Now?

Will you…

come back after you go home?” he asked in a fluster.

He wanted his teacher to live with him.

A look of desperation filled Winston Wyatt’s eyes as he glanced at Mr.

King.

Receiving the hint, Mr.

King immediately said, “Miss Rivers, the head of the family’s condition is extremely unstable and could flare up at any moment.

He’s developed a resistance to sedatives, and we can’t hypnotize him.

We’ve tried all sorts of physical therapies, but none of them have any effect on him.

We’ve also gone through batch after batch of calming masters.

Right now, you’re the only one who can truly calm him down.”

Recalling the sight of Winston Wyatt losing his mind, his eyes turning scarlet as his episode took over, Aurora Rivers looked worried.

“I’m truly worried about Little Feng’s current condition.

I’ll stay here for a while longer.”

Hearing this, Winston Wyatt relaxed.

But there was no way he would let Aurora Rivers go back alone.

Winston Wyatt followed her like a shadow, terrified of being left behind.

The two of them set off by car, with a procession of bodyguard vehicles following close behind.

Not long after they left, the door to Isla Chambers’s room was pushed open.

Isla Chambers was sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window with her back to the door, painting.

When she heard the noise behind her, her back went rigid.

The only person who would barge into her room so brazenly without knocking was Winston Wyatt.

It had to be because she had left the dining room early.

Just as she’d expected.

Even though Winston Wyatt hadn’t said anything at the time, he wouldn’t let her get away with it afterward.

He would definitely punish her, force her to eat all of that breakfast.

Even if she ate until she threw up, he would just look down on her pathetic state, his expression dark and imperious as he ordered her to keep going.

Isla Chambers’s hand, holding the paintbrush, trembled.

It was true that she was hungry now since she had barely eaten a few bites…

“I already said I’m full,” Isla Chambers resisted stubbornly.

The person didn’t leave; instead, they drew closer step by step.

Overwhelmed with panic and fear from the oppressive feeling of their approach, Isla Chambers shot to her feet.

Her paintbrush fell onto the wool rug, leaving a glaring stain.

With red-rimmed eyes, she cried out, “I really am full!

Can you please stop forcing me like this!”

“Miss, it’s me.” As Leon Sherman entered, he gestured for Isla Chambers to be quiet.

Isla Chambers stared at him, her face full of surprise.

“Leon Sherman?

What are you doing here?

Do you need something from me?”

Leon Sherman used to be a bodyguard for the Chambers Family, and now he was a bodyguard for the Wyatt Family.

Although they both worked at the Wyatt Family’s forest villa complex, they rarely ran into each other on a normal day.

“You’re probably the only one who still calls me ‘Miss’.” Isla Chambers lowered her eyes sadly.

Her family had gone bankrupt long ago.

How she wished none of it had ever happened, that she was still that happy and carefree Young Lady, the little princess adored by all.

“Miss, come with me,” Leon Sherman said, holding out his hand, his eyes bright and resolute.

“What?” Isla Chambers was baffled.

“Winston Wyatt has gone out.

He took most of his trusted men with him, so it must be for something urgent.

He definitely won’t be back for a while.

Let’s take this chance and escape.”

“Hasn’t that bastard Winston Wyatt been forcing you to do things all this time?

As long as we escape to a place where he can’t find us, we’ll be safe.”

Isla Chambers was so shocked she was speechless.

Just then, Leon Sherman saw the content of her painting: a bird, covered in wounds, struggling furiously to break free from the shackles of black, thorny roses and fly toward a sky of freedom.

This strengthened his resolve to take Isla Chambers away.

“Miss, I know you’ve been suffering.

I also know you’ve always wanted to escape that demon.”

Suffering?

Not really.

Her life here, surrounded by servants, was far more lavish and luxurious than when she had been the young lady of the Chambers Family.

Take the paints she had just been using, for example.

They were ground from precious gems and minerals.

A single gram was easily worth a normal person’s monthly salary.

Her real suffering began when the Chambers Family went bankrupt.

Her father committed financial crimes, her mother fell gravely ill, and their family became social pariahs, scorned by everyone.

The exorbitant medical bills and immense debt had her bowing and scraping, unable to even breathe.

If Winston Wyatt hadn’t taken her away, she would have either been torn to shreds by workers demanding their back pay or ended up as a plaything for the upper-class circles.

But she also couldn’t stand how Winston Wyatt constantly forced her to do things against her will, or his pathological need to control her.

And then there were Winston Wyatt’s episodes, where he would go berserk like a monster.

“Miss, the truth is, I’ve liked you for many years.

I came here for you,” Leon Sherman confessed, pulling out a single rose.

Getting into the Wyatt Family was no easy feat.

Leon Sherman had gone through hell just to become an ordinary bodyguard.

But looking at the slender, beautiful Isla Chambers, who looked like she needed protecting, Leon Sherman felt it was all worth it.

“In my heart, you have always been the proudest, most dazzling red rose.

Trust me, come with me.

I will definitely make you happy.”

Caught off guard by the sudden confession, Isla Chambers was at a loss.

But as she looked at Leon Sherman’s handsome face and met his earnest gaze, she couldn’t stop a blush from creeping onto her cheeks.

But should she really leave with Leon Sherman?

Isla Chambers was deeply hesitant.

“I…”

She noticed that the rose Leon Sherman had used for his confession was picked from the Wyatt Family’s garden.

A slight feeling of discomfort settled in her heart.

Leon Sherman hadn’t even spent his own money to buy her a bouquet.
