Aurora Rivers stopped eating her cookie, took a couple of sips of tea to clear her throat, and coughed a little awkwardly as she stood up.

“I’ll go try on a few outfits.”

The sales associate smiled brightly.Full novel: I’m 20 Years Old — Why Do I Have Six Grown Sons? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Of course.”

Aurora Rivers tried on one outfit after another.

Winston Wyatt said every single one looked good, so they bought them all.

But since he kept saying they all looked good, Aurora Rivers felt he might just be humoring her.

She couldn’t resist twirling in her dress and asking, “Does it really look good?”

Winston Wyatt and all the models and sales associates nodded in perfect, firm unison.

“It looks amazing.” They were all completely stunned.

Aurora Rivers’ skin was as white as snow.

She was curvy where she should be and slender where she should be.

At about five foot seven, she was a natural-born clothes horse, not to mention her divinely beautiful face.

Every time she changed, it was a new visual feast.

Winston Wyatt found a blissful, addictive pleasure in watching Aurora Rivers try on clothes.

He picked out several more outfits in one go, his eyes full of anticipation.

His usually gloomy, tyrannical eyes now twinkled like stars.

Aurora Rivers found it hard to refuse and gave in to his wishes, becoming his dress-up doll, Miracle Mist.

With clothes came the need for accessories: hats, hair clips, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and clutch bags.

Makeup couldn’t be forgotten either: foundation, primer, setting powder, eyeshadow palettes, blush, and lipstick.

And how could you buy clothes without buying shoes?

High heels, leather shoes, boots, sneakers, and casual slippers were all added to the pile.

Her entire field of vision was filled with items.

Aurora Rivers was in awe.

The sales associates all pitched in, frantically counting and packing.

Their hands were practically smoking from the effort.

It got so busy that they temporarily cleared the store, refusing to serve anyone else.

“Isn’t this a bit too much?” Aurora Rivers tried to gently dissuade him.

Winston Wyatt didn’t think so.

“Not at all.” ‘It’s far from enough to fill the walk-in closet.’

“Teacher, do you like this one?”

Aurora Rivers turned her head and saw that Winston Wyatt was now holding up autumn and winter coats.

She broke into a nervous sweat.

“That’s enough, that’s enough.

We don’t need these right now.”

The moment she said that, Winston Wyatt’s mood instantly darkened.

“You don’t want these…

is it because you never planned on staying long, Teacher?

Was saying you’d stay with me just to humor me?”

Aurora Rivers’ brow twitched, and she quickly replied, “Of course not.”

“Then this.” Winston Wyatt held the coat a little higher.

Aurora Rivers didn’t dare hesitate.

“We’ll take it!”

Winston Wyatt’s imaginary ears and tail perked up instantly.

The dark clouds around him visibly cleared, replaced by sunshine.

He pulled out a black card and handed it to the sales associate, instructing, “Pack everything up.”

Faced with such an obscenely rich patron, the sales associate’s face nearly split from smiling.

She respectfully took the card with both hands.

“Let me get it.” Aurora Rivers pinched a card between two fingers and offered it as well.

She had brought her card when she left home.

The sales associate, who had been about to head to the register, paused and looked between the two of them for guidance.

Seeing his teacher being so particular about such a small matter, Winston Wyatt was once again shrouded in gloom.

“My money is your money.

Are you not spending my money because you don’t see me as family?

You just brought me home and said it was my home too…”

His long, dark lashes cast shadows that hinted at a lonely, pitiful sorrow, and his voice was hoarse.

Aurora Rivers’ scalp prickled, and ‘Alarm bells went off in her head.’ She retracted her hand, pulling her card back.

“Haha, you pay, you pay.”

Winston Wyatt lifted his head, his whole person seeming to brighten.

Because the amount was so large, a signature was required on the bill.

After signing with a flourish, Winston Wyatt motioned for the sales associate to give the card to Aurora Rivers.

This time, Aurora Rivers didn’t say anything and took the card directly.

Since they had brought bodyguards, there was no need for home delivery.

A line of bodyguards in suits and earpieces carried the shopping bags, their hands full.

As they left, the sales associate gave them a large amount of cookies and nuts, even packing a small extra bag for them to snack on while they walked.

The gesture was a pleasant surprise for Aurora Rivers.

The buttery aroma from the snack bag was intoxicating.

Aurora Rivers couldn’t resist popping a nut into her mouth and munching on it, not forgetting to share some with Winston Wyatt, of course.

The sales associate’s perceptiveness was impressive.

She had noticed that Winston Wyatt would prefer to be fed by Aurora Rivers, so she had only given them one bag and placed it directly in Aurora’s hands.

Winston Wyatt was very satisfied with this.

“Mr.

Kian, you have no idea how horrible that cold-faced devil Silas Blackwood is!

He locked me up and wouldn’t let me see you.

Her palms had several cuts and were covered in scrapes.

She had injured them on the coarse hemp rope in her haste to escape.

Kian Blackwood furrowed his brows, looking somewhat pained for her.

“Does it hurt?”

“It hurts~” Victoria Sutton whined, looking even more pitiful.

“But it won’t hurt as much if Mr.

Kian blows on it.” Her eyes were full of expectation.

Her face was covered in heavy, messy, delinquent-style smokey eye makeup, complete with rebellious lip, eyebrow, nose, and tongue piercings.

Combined with her exaggeratedly long false eyelashes, the coquettish expression she made while pouting and batting her fan-like eyes was bizarrely unsettling.

Kian Blackwood’s lowered lashes hid the flash of impatience and disgust in his eyes.

He lowered his head and gently blew on Victoria Sutton’s palms.

The handsome man’s face was focused and serious, and very close.

Victoria Sutton’s heart raced, and her face grew hot.

Her eyes were filled with infatuated love.

“Mr.

Kian, you’re so good to me.

You’re the best person to me in the whole world.”

Kian Blackwood said, “Don’t get hurt again just to see me.”

How could she not get hurt when she was constantly fighting a battle of wits against Silas Blackwood just to see Kian Blackwood?

But, “I don’t care!

It’s okay, Mr.

Kian.

As long as I can see you, as long as I can be with you, I’m willing to get hurt as much as it takes.”

“Silly girl.” Kian Blackwood ruffled Victoria Sutton’s multi-colored hair.

Victoria Sutton’s entire neck and the roots of her ears turned red.

She shyly ran ahead, wanting Kian Blackwood to romantically chase after her.

“Let’s go check out that shop up ahead.”

Before she got far, Victoria Sutton ran right into a bodyguard.

Seeing the bodyguard, Victoria Sutton had a stress reaction.

Her face changed, turning ugly as her first thought was that Silas Blackwood had sent people to catch her.

‘Is my perfect date going to end just as it’s begun?!’

Victoria Sutton braced herself to struggle desperately when the bodyguard grabbed her, but he didn’t even glance at her and walked right past.

Victoria Sutton froze.

Looking closer, she realized she was just being jumpy.

This was someone else’s bodyguard, not one of Silas Blackwood’s men.
