I thought they were steel balls!
Reina withdrew the fireball before Henry’s eyes, looking quite satisfied.
In her view, Henry’s practical skills were far superior to those of ordinary students.
Judging by how he had reacted to her various elemental spells, his potential was simply too high.
If he had been given a decent weapon, the outcome of their match might have been uncertain.
Of course, she hadn’t gone all out either, but for someone Henry’s age, he had every reason to be proud.
Sherisa applauded from the sidelines.
She had watched the entire match.
For someone like her with little combat talent, the fight between Henry and her mother could be called thrilling.
In Sherisa’s experience, few people could face her mother in combat and still stand unscathed afterward.
While her mother might have gone easy on him, that was no reason to underestimate Henry.
If it were that branch member of the Rumelter family, what was his name… Lu something?
He probably wouldn’t last a single move against her mother.
“Well done. Your application of your abilities is quite skilled. If we were to compare it to magic, your abilities are even more outstanding than some senior students.”
Henry readily accepted Reina’s praise.
Of course, he knew he was great—because he had System Daddy!
“But speaking of which, I just sensed a kind of energy within you…” Reina wasn’t quite clear on the secrets Henry held.
Perhaps even Henry himself didn’t fully understand them.
But if he could learn to utilize this energy properly, there wouldn’t be much difference between him and a mage. In fact, Henry could become a close-combat spellsword!
“Alright, that’s enough testing for today. Sherisa, take Henry to change into some new clothes. We’re going to the palace to see Joseph.”
Reina turned and left.
But as she turned away, her expression clearly showed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Henry’s sword had broken earlier; otherwise, if he had broken through her defense again, she might have had to use some more lethal spells against him.
Though in that case, Henry might have ended up bedridden for months.
“That brat, he really doesn’t hold back.”
Sherisa bounced over to Henry, seeming very pleased with his performance earlier.
“Did you see the looks on their faces?”
“They just can’t accept that I’m handsomer than every single one of them.”
Henry picked up the broken sword hilt from the ground.
He hadn’t expected the sword he’d used for so long to finally give out and break.
It looked like he needed to buy a new longsword or have a more durable weapon forged.
Henry tossed the hilt onto the ground and followed Sherisa out of the training ground.
Henry gazed at the massive bathhouse, feeling like a country bumpkin seeing the city for the first time.
He had imagined it would be large, but he never thought it could be bigger than his own hot spring!
The feeling was like a poor person imagining the life of the rich—just buying some unusual foods, living in a small flat, and finishing it off with a bottle of iced tea.
Clearly, poverty had limited Henry’s imagination.
He shook his head and stepped into the warm pool.
Leaning against the edge, he completely emptied his mind.
If an assassin came for him now, Henry figured he wouldn’t even put up a fight.
“Well, isn’t this a coincidence.”
Sherisa’s voice came from behind Henry.
He jumped in fright.
He hurriedly covered himself, staring warily at Sherisa.
“What are you doing here?”
“This is my home. Why wouldn’t I be here?”
“I mean, why are you also not wearing any clothes!”
Sherisa only had a towel wrapped around her body, her signature twin tails tied up into a bun.
Without any hesitation, she walked over and sat down beside Henry.
Her small, pale legs gently stirred the water.
Hmm, they didn’t seem very big; he could probably fit two in his mouth.
Henry had some rather unreliable thoughts, but he quickly dismissed them.
“I heard Crown Princess Jessica isn’t in a good situation. Shouldn’t she be under house arrest by His Majesty the King?”
Sherisa turned to look at Henry.
If anyone knew about Jessica’s recent circumstances, Henry was probably the most informed.
She never would have thought that the esteemed Imperial Princess would be locked away in such a dark place. It seemed the King was truly “impartial.”
“Yeah, but she probably won’t just sit back and take it. After all, to her, this nation is her mother’s life’s work.”
Henry had faith in Jessica.
This righteous character from the game wouldn’t be easily defeated.
“Oh? You seem to trust her a lot. Do you two interact often?”
Sherisa’s pretty face had somehow gotten very close, startling Henry into a slight stiffness to show his respect.
He slowly turned his head away and explained, “Not often, but isn’t Crown Princess Jessica’s reputation throughout the Empire quite good? Like her mother’s.”
“That’s true.”
Sherisa gently pushed her palm through the water, creating a small wave that lapped against Henry’s chest.
Meanwhile, Henry was pondering what Jessica’s next move might be.
Noticing Henry’s distraction, Sherisa waved a hand in front of his face.
But Henry caught it precisely.
“What are you thinking about?”
“I’m thinking, if Jessica is dissatisfied with the King’s rule, and the King is dissatisfied with Jessica’s methods, what will be the final outcome between them?”
“Obviously, Crown Princess Jessica will be stripped of her authority, and then the King will produce a new heir to inherit the Empire.”
Sherisa stated this answer matter-of-factly.
But as soon as the words left her mouth, she froze, then slowly turned to look at Henry.
“So, if Jessica still wants to protect this country, there’s only one path left…”
Henry and Sherisa locked eyes, both understanding the meaning in the other’s gaze.
But the implications of this matter ran too deep; Sherisa couldn’t possibly make such a high-risk decision.
“That was just a joke. At this stage, the King wouldn’t make such a decision. Besides, the current situation is completely unfavorable for him. Only he himself remains foolishly intent on holding a grand wedding.”
Henry rested his hands behind his head, looking quite relaxed.
Sherisa was about to say something more when suddenly Reina’s voice came from outside the bathhouse.
“Sherisa, where are you?”
Hearing this, Henry was terrified.
If Madame Reina found out he was bathing with her daughter, he’d probably have to repaint this pool a new color!
“Sorry about this, Sherisa!”
Before Sherisa could react, Henry pushed her head under the water!
From Sherisa’s perspective underwater, Henry’s towel seemed to be floating.
At the same time, Madame Reina pushed the door open.
But upon seeing Henry’s bare upper body, she quickly retreated.
“Henry, have you seen Sherisa?”
“Nope, she left after bringing me here. Gah!”
Henry gasped sharply, his face instantly changing color, his body even trembling!
He looked down at the person in the water, who seemed to be exploring some deep mystery, a mystery that touched upon his very lifeline, giving him a feeling that his eggs might shatter and he might die!
“That’s strange, where did she go?”
Reina’s voice gradually faded into the distance, and Henry couldn’t wait to pull Sherisa out of the water.
“Miss, please stop grabbing, they’ll break!”
“Eh? With a body as strong as yours, shouldn’t these two be pretty hard? Looks like I still need to study human anatomy more.”
You think my nether regions are made of steel balls!
