Since the Sea Urchin Prince is this cat’s underling, by extension, all these are the cat’s.

The kitten circled Ji Yanxing’s hand before flopping down onto his keyboard with a soft thump, relaxing as it stared at him.

What are you looking at? Get to work.

Ji Yanxing: “…”

That look of innocent mischief was so much like the delicate little thing.

Thinking they would meet at the dinner tonight, the alpha’s expression softened. He placed the kitten in the small bed by the computer. “Be good, play by yourself. Call me if you’re hungry, or go out for a stroll if you’re bored. It’s all Daddy’s territory.”

“Be quiet.” The little puffball licked its paw, speaking with authority. “It’s all the cat’s now.”

Coming here today wasn’t just to inspect the Sea Urchin Prince’s hunting grounds.

More importantly, the cat needed to supervise this sick human who didn’t know how to take care of himself.

It was also the first time Little Mi Su realized just how intense Ji Yanxing’s usual workload was. From the moment he arrived in the morning, he hadn’t stopped—either in meetings or making decisions, constantly frowning.

Bearing a heavy responsibility, the cat certainly wouldn’t just lie around sleeping.

During meetings, the plump little furball would dash over to wake up any dozing manager.

In the office, the cat would brace itself against the bathroom door, calling out loudly to ensure Ji Yanxing wasn’t in danger.

During smaller meetings, the cat would press a paw against Ji Yanxing’s forehead to prevent him from getting wrinkles from anger.

The cat was too busy!

After working all morning, the kitten with its regular schedule quickly replenished its energy. After eating and drinking its fill, licking its little mouth clean, it trotted over and dropped two pieces of cat kibble beside the alpha’s hand.

Its soft paw pads patted the back of Ji Yanxing’s hand. “Meeow~”

Seeing him ignore it, the kitten puffed up with anger, meowing even louder.

Eat, quick!

It’s because you don’t eat enough that you get nosebleeds and sick. Eat!

“Hmm? Is this for me to eat?” The little one was making such a fuss Ji Yanxing had to put his work aside. Only then did he realize it was almost one o’clock. He had his assistant bring up a meal.

He stroked the smooth little cat head. “You eat the kitty kibble yourself.”

As the words left his mouth, a trace of belated doubt appeared on the man’s handsome face.

Kitty kibble?

Could the ‘kitty kibble’ the delicate one mentioned back then be… cat food?

Looking again at this adorable, pouty little cat face, with eyes as clear as gemstones, it could almost be the delicate one’s own offspring.

Little Mi Su was currently frustrated with his poor hunting ability. What’s the use of managing so many people if you’re this poor, not even able to get a meal?

Weak.

Too weak, meow!

The next second, a warm, gentle kiss landed on the top of the kitten’s head. Little Mi Su stared wide-eyed in shock, its ears automatically flattening into airplane mode as if to accommodate the human’s kiss.

This guy… doesn’t want to groom the cat, does he?

Considering his illness, the cat tolerated this intrusive behavior again and again, not immediately striking him. Instead, it extended a paw to push away that handsome, deeply featured face.

Little Mi Su: “I’ll punch you after you get better.”

Ji Yanxing saw it meow at him once, his heart melting.

Actually, the cat was grumbling: “What are you thinking about usurping the throne at a time like this? You silly, bad human.”

The alpha discovered, to his amazement, that this cat seemed to be taking care of him. Even during the meal, it would stare at him intently, pointing at the vegetables with its meows.

“You want some too?” He offered a piece of lightly seasoned greens.

But the kitten made a disgusted face and dodged.

Then, using its not-so-agile little paws, it mimed scooping food up to eat, looking at him innocently. “Meow-roar!”

Ji Yanxing was taken aback for a moment before understanding.

…So well-behaved.

Now, he didn’t want to eat; he wanted to kiss the kitten, wanted to hold the kitten up to Mi Su and show him how smart and considerate their child was.

Meanwhile, Little Mi Su was deeply immersed in the world of caring for the sick.

Still unaware of the absurd conjecture that he had given birth to himself, that a kitten had birthed a kitten.

After lunch, Assistant Wu happened to knock on the door. “President Ji, everything you requested has arrived.”

The kitten blinked, pleasantly surprised by the pet clothes spread out on the coffee table.

Wow, so pretty!

The cat raised its face slightly, its fluffy side profile round and delicate, pretending it wasn’t that fond of them.

Ji Yanxing’s voice was deep and pleasant, coaxing, “You looked very cute in the little suit at the summit. Daddy picked out a few more for you. Want to try them on?”

The tip of the cat’s tail swayed slightly. It reluctantly walked over. “Meow!”

Alright, alright!

Assistant Wu knew it must be a heartwarming moment of human-cat interaction in the office, definitely not something to be interrupted so quickly. So, he sat back at his workstation, assured, to slack off a bit.

Suddenly, the internal phone rang, the urgent tone startling the beta, who hurried in.

“President Ji, how may I assist you?”

The assistant stood at attention, only to see the big boss fitting a Western-style bib and a cowboy hat onto the kitten, saying seriously, “This is too adorable.”

The Wild West Cowboy Kitten let out a cool meow.

Assistant Wu: “…”

But it really was adorable!

Beta Assistant Wu quickly took on the important task of helping take photos.

The round, plump little kitten was like a fashion model, even changing the tone of its meows according to different outfits—extremely professional. A model who doesn’t like being photographed isn’t a good voice actor.

By the end of playtime, the cat was exhausted, sprawled out fast asleep.

Ji Yanxing flipped through the photo album, raising one handsome eyebrow.

“Sweet little nurse Mi, well-behaved top student Mi, delicious head chef Mi, ascetic nun Mi, Jade Emperor Mi… which one for the screensaver?”

“That is indeed a difficult choice,” Assistant Wu hesitated.

The CEO suddenly handed over the tablet, issuing his first task unrelated to work—

“Forget it. Make me a poster. I want them all.”

Assistant Wu agreed repeatedly. Glancing at the little furball curled up asleep in the mushroom cat bed, then stealthily glancing at the boss who had resumed work, he simply couldn’t resist Mi’s allure.

He planned for an “Oops, wanted to get a document but accidentally kissed the kitten with my mouth, how did this happen?”

His mouth was still miles away from the kitten when a file slid over coldly, like a blade.

“…” Assistant Wu was pulled back, unwillingly.

Ji Yanxing reminded him calmly, “Bacteria.”

Just as Assistant Wu was about to say it didn’t matter, he heard the other man say mercilessly, “I meant you.”

…

The little cat puffball woke from a sweet nap, saw Ji Yanxing was still working, and felt he was overworking himself. Not wanting to disturb him, it stealthily slipped out to play.

Not far away was the secretarial office. The kitten spy slipped in silently and hid inside Assistant Wu’s mug.

Several secretaries happened to be chatting, talking about a distant relative who had an incurable terminal illness.

The kitten’s ears twitched.

Thinking of the Sea Urchin Prince’s nosebleed, the cat’s heart filled with fear and dread.

“Sigh, minor illnesses are fine, major ones you can’t do much about. The worst are those in-between illnesses that torment you—can’t afford treatment, yet waste time…”

“Yeah, that’s why I stick to traditional Chinese medicine now. I also drink things like red ginseng extract daily to keep going. I even recommended it to Brother Wu; he’s always super busy.”

Can extend life?

The Sea Urchin Prince needs that!

The cat sneakily poked its head out, one paw hooking the box of red ginseng extract.

The secretaries’ conversation halted abruptly, all eyes fixed on the flailing little cat paw.

“?”

It really couldn’t reach. The kitten simply steeled itself and, under everyone’s watchful eyes, jumped out, snatched the red ginseng extract with its mouth, and ran off without looking back—extremely brazen.

The cat won’t pay for it now, whoops! Who told you I’m just a little kitten!

Secretaries: “???”

Even kittens need wellness routines now?

Back in the office, the kitten’s face was full of worry, anxiously urging the man to drink this.

Ji Yanxing never expected this little fellow not only to supervise his meals but also to know about health management. This filial piety moved him deeply.

That evening, when returning the cat to the café, Xiao Yu witnessed the two of them looking like father and son being forcibly separated.

Such reluctance.

Xiao Yu subtly hid the cat behind him. “…Haha, drive safely on your way back.”

Forget idols or not; just don’t come steal the cat in the middle of the night!

However, the little kitten wasn’t a permanent resident. After having a can of food at Xiao Yu’s place, it left coolly, leaving the orange-scented shop owner melancholy.

Not two minutes later, an uninvited guest pushed open the shop door.

Xiao Yu looked at Mi Su’s delicate, fair little face, regretting not dressing up today. “Y-you… how come you’re here?”

Mi Su’s expression was serious.

“I have something to ask you.”

Having worked at Xiao Yu’s place for a while now, he’d realized this human, though silly, wasn’t bad at heart. According to the secretaries’ chat, being sick required a lot of money. Mi Su decided to ask for advice.

Could he, in his human form, earn a lot of money?

But just as he mentioned Ji Yanxing pinning him to the carpet, Xiao Yu started pinching his own philtrum, hopping around in fury.

“Oh my god, if I’ve sinned, let the heavens punish me, not make me listen to you flaunt your love!”

Before Mi Su could even finish explaining the whole story, he was innocently pushed out.

His pale little hands twisted together. The omega, utterly dejected, attended the family dinner.

Amidst the lively clinking of glasses and lively chatter, Mi Su completely failed to notice Ji Yanxing’s occasional glances his way. He lowered his head, quietly counting the money he’d saved from working.

It didn’t seem like enough.

The omega’s eyes grew moist, his little nose tip reddening.

What if he hadn’t saved enough money…

…and this human, who made the cat worry, kicked the bucket?

He needed to take Ji Yanxing to the hospital quickly. Couldn’t wait any longer!

The alpha, who had been silent for most of the dinner, was just about to strike up a conversation when Mi Su suddenly stood up, his little face filled with utmost resolve, though his teary, shimmering eyes betrayed him.

“Mom, Dad, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters! I have something to announce!”

Everyone stared at him. “Oh? What’s the matter?”

Ji Yanxing’s heart skipped a beat, his eyebrow raised.

—Surely he’s not asking for a divorce this quickly?

The atmosphere was tense; you could hear a pin drop.

Mi Su pressed his trembling lips together, then suddenly declared loudly:

“A while back, my husband saw me without clothes and suddenly got a nosebleed! His inhibitor bracelet even exploded! I’m so scared he’ll bleed to death… please, everyone, help him…! Waaah!”

Ji Yanxing: “.”

Good news: it’s not a divorce.

Bad news: I can’t face being a human anymore.
