The crisp, melodious meows of a kitten now surrounded him in immersive 3D audio.

Every customer’s footsteps halted. Before they could even process it, their expressions instinctively softened into ones of pure, cleansed bliss.

Leaning against the wall while waiting, Ji Yanxing also lifted his eyelids, offering a faint evaluation: “I suppose this mall has some taste.”Full novel: I’m Not an Evil Kitten! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But that delicate little thing had been inside for far too long.

The alpha randomly stopped a passing omega, asking him to go in and check if his fiancée was still there. The omega readily agreed, quickly returning only to shake his head regretfully.

“Sir, there’s no one inside at all.”

Ji Yanxing was taken aback, his brows involuntarily knitting together. He had been standing right here waiting; even if Mi Su had turned into a rabbit, he couldn’t have escaped his sharp eyes.

How could he be gone?

Several news reports of wives mysteriously vanishing instantly flashed through his mind.

The alpha’s face darkened. Against the grand, heroic backdrop of meowing BGM, he strode quickly back to the restaurant and asked in a low voice, “That delicate thing hasn’t come back?”

Hua Yunlian and Chen Wang exchanged blank looks.

“No way? He’s been in the restroom this long, we thought you two went off to do something.” Hua Yunlian raised an eyebrow in surprise, quickly standing up and grabbing his coat. “You actually lost your wife? Are you even capable?”

“You didn’t start kissing him while spouting nonsense like ‘you’re just my arranged marriage partner,’ did you?”

Ji Yanxing’s focus instantly shifted. He stated seriously, “I didn’t kiss him.”

Chen Wang discreetly elbowed Hua Yunlian, signaling him to shut up.

“Don’t panic. Maybe he wanted to stroll around the mall and forgot to tell you. We’ll help you look.”

The three of them hurried out of the restaurant in a fluster. Accompanied by the poetic meowing, the first place they passed was the calligraphy exhibition radiating a strong middle-aged and elderly vibe.

“There are a lot of people there, want to check?” Chen Wang hesitated.

Ji Yanxing declared, “Impossible he’s there.”

“That delicate thing doesn’t like studying, hates crowded places, and dislikes all those refined, character-cultivating activities.”

Thus, they perfectly missed a certain cultured little furball commanding the stage with gusto.

“Meow meow meow meow—!”

Worry not about lacking friends on the road ahead, under heaven who does not know a Miao!

Someone began clicking their tongue in admiration: “True masters know no species boundaries…”

The little grassland overlord kitty seemed to be making up for all the knowledge points he had missed over the years in one go. The stars of human civilization shone brilliantly, and the cat was utterly enchanted.

Little Mi Su’s paws had black fur and pink pads.

Now, never mind black or pink, they were all dipped in thick ink, boldly expressing themselves across the vast expanse of the enormous xuan paper.

It’s coming back…

It’s all coming back, meow!

The little kitten, drunk and swaying, even changed his intonation according to different ancient poem themes.

“Miaow~”

Just when the southern scenery is finest, in the season of falling blossoms I meet a Mi again!

His fluffy tail tip gently swayed, then he suddenly lay down amidst the misty rain of the south. He really couldn’t hold on any longer, taking the chance to rest a bit, meow.

“What on earth is going on?” The boss sitting in the front row had a subtly strange expression, looking suspiciously at the sweating person in charge beside him. “Is this little cat really the master you invited with a 200,000 yuan honorarium?”

The person in charge felt like jumping off a building.

How was he supposed to explain?

He had applied for 200,000 from the boss, found a charlatan fake master, and planned to split the money with him.

But at the critical moment, the master had diarrhea!

The person in charge was on the verge of tears. Should he just come clean to the boss now and resign on the spot?

At that moment, the dirty, chubby little body made an arched smear on the xuan paper with a sideways rub, then rolled around playfully a few times.

The ink on his little paw pads was used up, revealing their original soft pink color as he cooed dizzily, “Miaowu~”

“Wait…!”

The boss shuddered all over, his eyes widening in shock as he stood up next to the little meatball kitten squirming wildly on the table: “This! This!”

The kitten, oblivious, began flopping about in place.

Like a little compass gone rogue, he drew a completely random circle on the paper.

The person in charge started pinching his philtrum, feeling his end was near.

The host was still trying to salvage the situation, genuinely moved by the kitten, and said with heartfelt emotion, “Boss, even across different species, souls can resonate!”

“Both of you, shut up.”

The boss, exuding an aura of wealth and glittering gold, suddenly grasped one of the cat’s feet. Inspiration struck, and he recited: “Just when the southern scenery is finest…”

The little kitten sat up straight: “In the season of falling blossoms I meet a Mi again!”

The boss took the microphone and explained with deep emotion, “I never expected that despite having never met before, Master Mi could actually paint the riverside hometown of my childhood.”

“Everyone, look!” The LED screen switched to an overhead shot. “This upper section is the arch bridge most commonly seen in my hometown, and the lower section is precisely the bridge’s reflection in the water. Combined as one, it resembles a full moon!”

“The master is expressing my nostalgia for home—!”

The audience erupted in an uproar.

Gasps of astonishment rose from below, everyone craning their necks. The scene was almost uncontrollable. Security personnel quickly set up barriers to prevent anyone from trying to steal Master Mi away.

“The master embodied the painting with its own form; its tender paw pads are the peach blossoms most common in my hometown. Together, they create a perfect spring scene of Jiangnan!”

With tears in his eyes, the boss tightly grasped the two little cat paws, about to press them against his cheek.

Little Mi Su was deeply moved, and promptly slapped him with both paws, leaving a pair of symmetrical paw-print stamps on the boss’s face. “Meow~”

Human, show some respect.

“I haven’t even taken the stage yet, why is it so crowded?” The fake calligraphy master, having returned from his urgent dash, was stopped by security outside the barrier. He shouted, “I’m Master Su! Your boss invited me! Open your dog eyes and look clearly!”

The security guard remained expressionless, sneering at this impostor.

“Invited you? Unshaven, disheveled—just based on appearance alone, you’re far inferior to the soft, cute, and exceptionally skilled Master Mi!”

The fake master stomped his feet in rage, barely able to make out the little cat on stage yowling and meowing, scribbling randomly on the paper.

A crowd of humans was clapping and cheering, like primitive villagers praying around a high priest.

“…”

He usually relied on this exact set of mystical moves to deceive uncultured yet pretentious bosses.

And now…

Now he’d been outdone by a little kitten!

He roared, “Those are all my lines!”

A security guard shoved him away. “Get lost, don’t disturb Master Mi’s creation of ‘A Hundred Paw Prints of Jiangnan’!”

Fifteen minutes later, the fake master watched with tears streaming down his face as awards were presented on stage. The honorarium had been made into a golden plaque, the number two followed by many zeros.

Several staff members held up Master Mi’s ink masterpiece horizontally, while the boss stood beside them, holding the drunken kitten aloft in one hand and the golden plaque in the other, looking utterly radiant.

“Alright! Three, two, one, say cheese!”

The shutter sound startled little Mi Su awake. The cat swiftly retracted its little tongue.

Meow?

Why is my brain completely blank?

The burst of knowledge points slowly faded away. The dazed and disoriented little creature, taking advantage of being placed on the ground, zipped out of the crowd.

What was all that meowing about?

Forgot.

The little cheetah now had a new direction. Following a scent similar to his own pheromones, he raced all the way to the third-floor mega children’s playground.

Around the playground were numerous dessert stalls, the air wafting with the sweet smell of chocolate and caramel from afar.

Since it’s this scent.

Then this is cat territory.

The soft, colorful walls made of latex material had a few narrow gaps. Several little black paws hooked onto one, and the entire cat slipped into the inner area as smoothly as chocolate sauce.

Little Mi Su gazed at the chattering human cubs inside.

He twitched his little mouth, his whiskers quivering upward at an angle, revealing an innocent yet wicked smile.

“Meow.”

Right inside was the climbing area. Several children wearing helmets and safety harnesses were competing, scaling an almost vertical cliff face, their footholds being simulated rocks on the wall.

“Whoever reaches the top first wins!”

Little Mi Su curiously tilted his little head up to watch for a while.

His silhouette resembled a round ball with two pointy little ears.

Back on the grasslands, there were plenty of steep places to climb. This level of difficulty was like walking on flat ground for a cat.

But the bodies of a few-year-old cubs aren’t fully developed; climbing upward was quite strenuous, and they were panting heavily in no time.

The kitten paced back and forth anxiously, his pure black little paws tap-tapping.

He called out loudly, “Meow~ Miaowu!”

Engage your core! Core strength!

The children’s limited attention instantly snapped to little Mi Su. They cried out in delight, “Wow, it’s a kitten!”

Hopeless pupils! The cat simply didn’t have that much patience. He leaped into action.

“Let the cat teach you!”
