Chapter 9: Find

I’m the Heroine’s Sister in an Erotic Game?

Walking down the street, I kept attracting attention even though I was not dressed provocatively. Sighing to myself, I entered a restaurant to grab something to eat. I ordered a relatively expensive meal and began to enjoy it.

While I was eating, I suddenly noticed a red dot on the radar.

<<Could I really find a demon this quickly?>>

As I was wondering whether I should leave and follow it, the red dot came closer, making me wary.

Soon, two people entered the restaurant. Only then did I notice that there was also a white dot near the red one. It looked like a human. I did not want to look directly at them and make myself suspicious, so I continued eating while keeping an eye on the radar.

They passed by me, and I saw that they were a man and a woman. Both were quite good-looking.

For a moment, I felt someone's gaze on me. It was most likely the man, and judging by the radar, he had to be the demon. After waiting until they were far enough away, I finally turned my eyes toward them.

The two of them sat together and chatted comfortably. Judging by the radar, this demon had to be at my level or lower.

As I ate, the demon glanced at me several times. He seemed interested in me, which also matched the fact that he was walking around with a woman. I had learned a little about demons from my sister, but I still did not know much about them. Still, judging by his behavior, he seemed greedy for my body.

When I finished eating, I went outside and found a place where I would not attract attention. Then I waited.

After a while, the radar showed that the two of them were also moving. When they came out, I followed them.

The situation felt familiar. After some time, just as I expected, they approached a hotel in a back alley.

But that was what made me stop dead in my tracks.

As I approached the building, more red dots suddenly appeared on the radar. The number increased from one to five, then from five to twenty, and soon there were more than sixty red dots.

The radar only showed demons equal to or lower than my level, so I could not help but stop.

From the corner, I watched the demon drag the girl toward the building.

I could not think clearly.

Should I save her or not?

If I did, I might be in danger too. If I did not, the girl would most likely die. Clenching my fist tightly, I hesitated.

I knew that in some situations it was better not to try acting like a hero. But in my past life and in this one, when I saw someone trying to hurt another person, I could not simply stay away.

It was the same as when they tried to take advantage of Litta. And now, according to my sister, demons were bloodthirsty and used people's emotions to become stronger.

If this girl was taken inside now, her end would be terrible.

They were gradually approaching the building.

Gritting my teeth and clasping my hands behind my back, I took a few steps out from the corner and called out to them.

"Sir! Miss! Wait, please!"

Hearing my voice, they both stopped and looked at me.

Doubt flashed in both of their eyes, but soon a different meaning appeared in the demon's gaze.

I lowered my head and began to speak. I could clearly hear the tremor in my own voice.

"Could you help me, please?"

After a few seconds, I heard the girl's voice.

"What's wrong?"

Realizing she was close enough, I grabbed her arm and pulled at the same time.

"Sister, this man is a cheat, so come with me. I saw him going out with other women two days ago."

The demon and the girl were both stunned for a moment, but that was enough for me to pull the girl into the corner. It was a little dark there.

"Let go! What are you doing? This is just a one-night thing. I have no interest in his personal life."

Hearing the girl scream loudly and struggle to break free, I realized my strength was not enough to hold her. She broke loose, and I lost my balance, falling to the ground.

The demon ignored me and leaned forward to check on the girl in a seemingly gentlemanly manner. However, I did not take him seriously. While he was distracted, I pulled my katana from my inventory.

Gripping the katana firmly, I called out to him and concentrated as much as I could.

"Hey, womanizer!"

He immediately turned to face me, probably wanting to show off in front of the girl, and shouted back,

"I'm not a womanizer..."

But before he could finish speaking, I swung my sword with all my strength.

The blade cut through his neck without difficulty, creating a sharp whistling sound.

The demon's head flew up and fell to the ground. A few seconds later, his body collapsed after it.

I turned my attention to the girl, who was now sitting on the ground in horror, and quickly approached to check on her. She looked terrified and trembled, quickly closing her mouth when I came closer.

Then I looked back at the demon's corpse, only to witness a surprising change.

The girl followed my gaze and watched as the human corpse gradually deformed, revealing a humanoid creature with black-red skin, small horns on its head, and long, sharp teeth protruding from its mouth. Its body also seemed to grow several centimeters larger.

Feeling relieved, I told the girl that it was a demon. Then I checked the dots in the distance while she remained stunned and speechless, staring at the corpse.

There was no movement, just like on the radar.

Looking again, I saw the demon's corpse slowly turning to ash. Soon, all that remained was torn clothing.

Walking up to the girl, I held out my hand and said,

"Let's get out of here. It's dangerous."

She was still staring at the place where the corpse had been. After I called her a second time, she finally understood and took my hand.

I threw the katana back into my inventory and dragged her away.

It took a few minutes to reach the crowded street and find a place to sit. After a while, once I saw that the girl had calmed down, I told her,

"Now go home and rest. And don't tell anyone about this, understand?"

She was still scared. To be honest, I had not completely calmed down either.

She nodded to me and went on her way. Watching her leave, I sighed. I did not want to explain anything, so it was good that she did not ask questions.

I looked toward the street where one of the demon bases was likely located and thought for a moment.

There were several options for what to do next.

The first was to turn this place into a leveling spot, because earlier, after killing the demon, a message had appeared:

[You killed a level 2 demon, gained 100 experience.]

But the risk would be high because I did not know whether there was a demon above level four inside that building.

The second option was to call my sister and report it.

After thinking for a while, I got up and went toward the hotel again. As I approached, the radar displayed a large number of demons once more. Judging by their movements, they had not noticed anything, so I decided to wait and observe for a little while.

Nothing happened for fifteen minutes.

I got bored, so I decided to call my sister.

Turning on my phone, I dialed her number, but a message came back saying she was unavailable. I took one last picture of the building and left.

When I returned home, I put the katana back in its place, but my sister was still not there. After having a small snack, I lay down on the couch to rest and closed my eyes.

I was not sure how much time had passed, but I woke up to the sound of a knife against a cutting board.

Getting up from the couch, I saw that my sister was already cooking. Apparently hearing me move, she turned around for a moment, looked at me, and then continued her work without saying anything.

For some reason, I felt bad when I remembered the beautiful smile she had shown that guy in the cafe.

Suppressing my mood, I walked over to her, took out my phone, and called out.

"Sister, I found something today, and I want you to see it."

She did not turn around.

"Not now."

Feeling irritated by her attitude, I subconsciously clutched my phone in my hand.

"I found a demon today."

After my words, her movements stopped abruptly. She looked at me with the same indifferent face.

Sighing to calm myself, I opened the picture and showed it to her.

"After following the demon, I found out that there were almost sixty, or maybe even more, demons in this back alley..."

"Impossible!"

She interrupted me before I could finish speaking and took the phone from my hand.

"How do you know there are demons in there? When I followed one, it turned out to be in human form. So how do you know it was a demon?"

She looked at me doubtfully and asked.

I wanted to explain, but what if she told others and I ended up being used?

To be honest, my trust in her had gradually decreased because she was keeping secrets from me. Besides, I heard a hint of distrust in what she said.

"Since you don't believe me, then forget it."

Taking the phone back from her, I went up to my room, locked the door, and fell onto the bed.

I stared at the ceiling, feeling sad that my sister kept pretending around me. My rash actions with Litta had also left me at a dead end.

I did not know what to do.

Feeling empty, I took my phone and headphones from the nightstand. I lay on the bed again, started some music, and closed my eyes.

I had not listened to music much in the past, but at times like this, it could help calm my mind.

A melodic sound played, an unfamiliar melody with words that slowly pulled me into it. Song after song, I gradually began to enjoy it.

As time passed, I heard a knock on the door.

Taking one headphone out of my ear, I asked,

"What is it?"

My sister's voice came from the other side of the door.

"Come to dinner."

I had already eaten a snack before coming home, so I was not hungry now.

"I'm not hungry."

After a few seconds, I heard the sound of footsteps receding.
