Near the bayous outside of New Orleans
Roman gazed at the dark sky as he rode in the back of his black Bentley.
The celestial wonders of the night were lost on him since his thoughts were elsewhere.
Hat .
.
.
Even though a little more than a week had past, he couldn’t stop thinking about their last conversation.
The whole encounter had left him bewildered beyond comprehension.
What were you not telling me?
Roman tried to push it to the back of his mind but he found it impossible.
Even during his business in Africa, he couldn’t get Hatshepsut out of his thoughts.
He could see she had feelings for him, but he couldn’t understand what was holding her from him.
Why do I let her do this to me?
Why does she get under my skin?
In all his life, Roman had never known a woman that could wreak havoc on his psyche as Hatshepsut.
He couldn’t figure out what it was about her that made her so captivating.
Then it came to him.
She’s the first woman I’ve ever been in love with.
I am in love with Hatshepsut.
This was never Roman’s plan, but it was too late now.
He was absolutely, madly in love with Hatshepsut and there was nothing he could do about it.
I need to find her.
Understand what I’ve done.
His thoughts were interrupted by high-pitch whining.
“Roman!”
Roman turned to look at the pretty girl that sat beside him.
She was a co-ed that had lingered from spring break.
She couldn’t have been more than twenty.
She had caught his eye tonight at his club.
“You’re not listening to a word I’m saying!” she continued with a pout.
“Were you saying something?” Roman asked absent mindedly.
“I was saying that I haven’t done anything like this before,” she said as her dark brown eyes glistened with excitement.
“Anything like what?” Roman asked dully.
What an idiotic little girl!
What was her name?
I suppose that is not important.
I don’t need her name for what I have planned.
“Going home with a stranger,” the girl said pressing herself closer to Roman.
“My mother would kill me!”
Roman chuckled to himself.
You won’t have to worry about her killing you.
“Well aren’t you a bad little girl,” Roman said as he lightly tapped the end of her nose.
She giggled as she nervously tucked a strand of her straight black hair behind her ear.
The sound of her giggle sickened Roman.
Hat doesn’t giggle.
“I didn’t realize you lived so far out of town,” the girl said nervously looking out the window.
She lightly tugged on the end of her short red dress.
“Are you afraid?” Roman asked.
He slid the back of his fingers down her bare shoulder soothingly.
“I will take you back if you like.”
Roman gazed deeply into her eyes as his fingertips skimmed the soft, caramel skin of her arm.
He allowed his hand to venture beyond her arm and to her thigh.
Her breathing stuttered as Roman’s fingertips stroked her inner thigh.
Roman watched as she became more relaxed.
“No,” she said a little dazed.
“I guess I’m just a little nervous.
This is the first time I’ve been this far away from home.”
“You don’t have anything to be nervous about with me,” Roman said putting extra silk in his voice.
“I promise.
I will make this a night you will never forget.”
She giggled again.
Roman smiled back, fighting the urge to strangle her.
The car came to a stop and the sound of moving metal could be heard.
Roman released an internal sigh as he looked up to see the gates to his estate.
“Wow!” the girl exclaimed as they drove through the gates.
“Your house is big!”
“I’m glad you like it,” Roman said as he glanced at a strange car that was parked in front of his house.
He said nothing as the driver pulled to a stop.
“Wow!” the girl cried again as she noticed the car.
“Is that your Pagani?”
“No, it’s not,” Roman said as he stepped out of the car.
The girl followed him closely as she looked around at everything with wide eyes and gaped mouth.
The double front doors opened as they stepped up to them.
A man in a black suit with a white shirt bowed to them as they came in.
“Good evening, Mr.
Kaine,” the man said.
“You have a butler!” the girl exclaimed.
Roman could feel the twinge of a headache coming on.
You only have to endure her for a few more moments.
“James,” Roman said to the butler, ignoring the girl’s comment.
“Whose car is out front?”
“She would not give me her name.
She said she was here to see you and would not leave until she did so.
She is in the living room, sir.”
“You allowed some strange woman in my house?” Roman asked coldly.
He could feel his anger rising.
He looked at James with cold eyes.
James began to tremble with fear.
He leaned closer to Roman.
“She has the mark of the ankh on her face,” he whispered nervously.
Hat!
“You told me to always allow the woman with the mark of the ankh entrance,” James continued.
Roman nodded as he began to calm down.
He looked over at the young girl clinging to his arm.
He gently pried her hands from him.
“James, could you make sure that .
.
.
that .
.
.”
“Shauna,” the girl snapped.
“Yes, Shauna,” Roman said walking towards the living room.
“Make sure she gets back to her hotel or wherever she is staying safely.”
“Yes, sir,” James said.
“What?” Shauna cried angrily.
“You bring me all the way out here for nothing!
I thought you were going to give me a night I wouldn’t forget!”
Roman turned slightly to look at her.
“Think about,” Roman said casually.
“You won’t forget tonight, now will you?
Be happy.
You will go back to your mother a good girl.
Roman could hear her whining as he walked into the next room.
As he turned the corner, he saw Hatshepsut standing near the mantle studying an abstract painting that hung on the wall.
Roman couldn’t help admiring her form in the fitted black dress she wore.
The dress had one wide strap that graced one shoulder leaving the other exposed.
The fabric hugged her small waist and every curve to her thigh, leaving nothing to the imagination.
Gold adorned her neck, ears and wrist while gold strappy high heel sandals wrapped her feet.
Her long, black hair was loosely curled and cascaded around her shoulders.
Roman leaned against the wall and marveled at Hatshepsut.
She was a breath of fresh air after being trapped in a car with such an asinine, young girl.
“Will Shauna be joining us?” Hatshepsut asked without turning around.
He could hear the mockery in her voice.
Roman smiled.
“No, Shauna will not be joining us,” Roman said walking into the room.
“Pity,” Hatshepsut said turning around to face Roman.
She had a mocking smirk on her face.
“I would have loved to meet her.”
“I’m sure you would,” Roman chuckled.
“I see you used the front door for once.”
“I decided to shake things up.”
“I didn’t know you were back in town.”
“I only arrived this afternoon.”
The room grew silent as Roman gazed longingly at Hatshepsut.
She looked at him with the same gaze; both wanting to make amends, neither knowing how.
“You look amazing,” Roman said, breaking the silence.
“It’s not often I see you wear something other than leather.”
Hatshepsut looked down at her outfit.
She ran her hands down the front of her dress as if she was self-conscious.
Roman watched as her slender fingers glide over her stomach, hips, and down to the side of thighs.
If those were my hands .
.
.
“I had planned to stop by your club,” Hatshepsut said softly.
“I changed my mind at the last moment.”
“Why?”
“I did not know if you wanted to see me.”
“I will always want to see you,” Roman said stepping closer.
Roman stopped in front of her.
Hatshepsut was silent as he placed his hands on the sides of her face.
He slowly slid them down her cheeks, neck and shoulders, trying to assure himself that she was really there.
He could hear Hatshepsut stop breathing as he touched her.
The sound only inflamed his longing for her.
When his hands found their way to her waist, he pulled her body to his.
“I thought I would never see you again,” Roman breathed.
“All I could think about was how we left things.”
“Forgive me,” Hatshepsut said softly.
“I behaved irrationally.
You laid your heart out to me, and I mercilessly stepped all over it.
I am wretched beyond belief.
I do not deserve your forgiveness.”
“There is nothing to forgive,” Roman said.
“How can you say that?” Hatshepsut asked.
Her eyes glazed over with tears.
A few toppled over on her cheeks.
Roman looked into her eyes.
He could feel the emotions he had been struggling with for days flood forward.
He knew he could no longer deny them.
“Because I love you.”
Roman couldn’t restrain himself any longer.
Having her body pressed against his was unbearable.
His eager lips found hers.
He could feel her wanting as she kissed him back.
He could taste her icy tears on her lips.
Her tears seem to make her kiss all the sweeter.
He wanted to bathe in her tears.
He wanted to drown in her guilt.
He didn’t care.
The only thing that mattered was that the woman he loved was here in his arms and she was never going to leave him again.
Roman broke from the kiss but his face remained only a breath away.
“I want you,” Roman growled.
“I need you.”
Roman didn’t allow Hatshepsut to respond.
His lips were again pressed hard against hers.
His hands began to explore Hatshepsut’s dress, feeling for the zipper, but he quickly lost patience with the task.
Instead he grabbed two handfuls of her dress and pulled.
The sound of ripping fabric filled the air.
Hatshepsut gasped.
“I’ll buy you a new dress,” Roman said throwing his jacket to the floor.
“I’ll buy you a hundred new dresses.
I will buy you anything as long as I can have you right now.”
Roman still didn’t allow Hatshepsut time to respond.
She gasped in shock as he picked her up.
She wrapped her legs around his waist as he carried her over to a cream colored couch.
He laid her down on the cushions and continued his mauling of her.
He began kissing her neck and chest with heated ferocity as he clawed away her lacy bra.
He could feel Hatshepsut’s fingers clawing at his back as he bit her shoulder.
His shirt ripped in her grasp.
Roman welcomed this.
He was growing increasingly impatient with all the fabric that was still in-between him and his desire.
Roman threw the remains of his shirt on the floor and kicked off his shoes.
He thanked the gods that Hatshepsut was adverse to panties.
That would have been more clothing he would have had to remove.
Hatshepsut took hold of his belt and pants and tore them away.
Thank you super human strength!
Things were becoming much easier now.
Roman pressed his body down on Hatshepsut as he penetrated her depths.
Hatshepsut moaned softly as he began stroking her vigorously.
Mother of creation, she feels so good!
Her walls contracted around his stiff flesh as he dug into her deeper, making him release a moan.
Hatshepsut’s legs tighten around him as she gripped his lower back.
He looked down at her face.
Hatshepsut’s eyes were rolled back and her lips were parted slightly in ecstasy.
Roman smiled at the sight.
He could feel his already rock hard member grow harder still.
You like that?
I can do so much better.
Hatshepsut’s moans were music to his ears, but he wanted more than her moans.
He wanted her screams of ecstasy, her tears of euphoria.
He wanted her soul.
Roman took hold of the arm rest that Hatshepsut’s head rested on with both hands.
He slowed the motion of his pelvis and concentrate on the feel and depth of each stroke.
Hatshepsut’s back arched more and more with each deliberate thrust.
There we go.
Roman pivot his hip a little to the left, not missing a stroke.
Hatshepsut moaned a little louder.
“No,” Hatshepsut breathed.
Her voice trembled.
“I’m only giving you what you desire, my queen,” Roman responded breathlessly.
“Your .
.
.
s-s-servants .
.
.,” Hatshepsut stammered.
“Let them hear,” Roman growled.
He ducked down and kissed her passionately as he pivot his hip to the right.
Hatshepsut broke the kiss to cry out.
Found it.
Roman smiled with satisfaction as he slowly stroked Hatshepsut’s sensitive spot again and again.
Hatshepsut tried to muffle her cries with her hand, but Roman snatched her hand away.
“We won’t have any of that,” Roman said darkly.
He pinned her hands down to the couch as the speed of his thrusting increased.
Hatshepsut’s depths were throbbing around his stiff member sending wave after wave of bliss that radiated through his whole being.
He knew what was about to follow.
“That’s right,” Roman whispered into her ear; his deep voice becoming deeper with each word.
“Give it up like a good girl.
Don’t fight it.
Surrender to me.”
Hatshepsut cries were becoming louder and louder while the pitch was becoming higher.
Her words were no longer clear.
They were more like whimpering sobs.
Hatshepsut cried out once more but in Egyptian.
The sound of her ancient tongue only urged him more.
He could feel heat spreading through his groin as he gyrated his pelvis faster.
Roman released a moan as he felt Hatshepsut climax over him.
It felt as if someone had poured ice water over his heated flesh.
It felt wonderful as the heat in his groin rushed to be released.
The intermingling of his heat and Hatshepsut’s coolness was such a delectable feeling that it made him cry out.
Roman kilted over, gripping the sofa to steady himself as his body convulsed from gratification.
Hatshepsut’s body still hummed from aftershocks of her orgasm.
Roman swept his now loose braids over his shoulder as he bent down to kiss Hatshepsut gently.
He gazed into her eyes and caressed her face.
Hatshepsut reached out and traced his lips with her fingers.
“I love you, Roman,” Hatshepsut said.
“I always have.”
Roman smiled wide.
At that moment, there were no better words.
“Then what was Monaco about?” Roman asked.
“It was silly really.”
“I still would like to hear it.”
“Can we discuss it later perhaps?”
“Agreed,” Roman said as kissed her again.
******
Hatshepsut lay on Roman’s chest.
They had finally found their way to Roman’s bedroom much to her relief.
Hatshepsut did not particularly enjoy being put on display, but it seemed that Roman got a sick pleasure from it.
Of course, at the time that was the least of her concerns.
Roman had her too occupied to worry about who was listening or even watching their escapade.
Hatshepsut had to admit that she enjoyed Roman’s primal heat.
It was unpredictable, and it excited her.
Roman lightly trailed his fingers up and down her bare back.
It sent chills through her.
“Now will you explain what happen in Monaco,” Roman asked softly.
His deep voice was so comforting to her.
Hatshepsut played with one of his numerous locs as she spoke.
“My reason for not accepting you offer is so vain and selfish.
After you hear it, you will never want to look at me again.”
“Try me,” Roman said giving Hatshepsut a squeeze.
Hatshepsut sighed.
“Ever since the beginning of our relationship, I vowed that I would not allow myself to become attach to you.
As the weeks turned into months, it was becoming more and more difficult not to love you.
When I realized that I had fallen for you, I resisted because I felt that nothing good could come out of loving someone like you.”
“Like me?
What do you mean?
An all-around bad guy?”
“No, a mortal.”
Roman was silent for a moment.
It made Hatshepsut anxious.
Hatshepsut wondered what could be going through his mind at that moment.
She was too ashamed to look up at his face to see if it revealed his thoughts.
“So being a mortal is a bad thing,” Roman said finally with amusement.
“I am not saying that,” Hatshepsut responded quickly.
“My days are possibly endless, but yours are numbered.
I always thought if I allowed myself to love you, a mortal, I would be wasting my time because one day you would be gone and I would still be here to mourn.” Hatshepsut could feel her emotions welling to the surface.
“I do not think I could survive if I lost you.”
Roman took Hatshepsut’s hand and entwined her fingers with his.
“You have a while before you’re going to lose me,” Roman said soothingly.
“Why worry about the future?
Let’s live in today.
Isn’t that enough?”
Hatshepsut looked up at Roman.
“You do not find me despicable.”
“Hat, dear, you couldn’t be despicable if you tried.
I will say that I don’t know whether to be relieved or pissed.
I didn’t know that being a run-of-the-mill human could be such a burden.”
Hatshepsut gave him a playful shove.
“There is nothing run-of-the-mill about you.”
“Well, thank you.”
“Now I have a question for you.”
“And what would that be my queen?”
“About your offer?” Hatshepsut asked sliding her fingers down Roman’s chest.
“What about it?” Roman asked, with interest.
“Is it still on the table?” Hatshepsut asked seductively as she began sit up.
She gazed into Roman’s eyes.
“I don’t know,” Roman said, feigning sulking.
“You really hurt my feelings.”
“What will it take to open negotiations?” Hatshepsut asked as she sat on top of Roman.
“You are definitely on the right track,” Roman said looking up at her hungrily.
“Am I?” Hatshepsut asked as she reached down to stroke Roman.
It began to quickly come to life in her fingers.
She leaned over and kissed him deeply.
Roman wrapped one arm around her waist while his other hand became entangled in her hair.
“How about now?” Hatshepsut whispered seductively in his ear.
“Ask me in the morning,” Roman said with a smile as he pulled Hatshepsut back to him.
