Hatshepsut scrutinize another outfit in mirror.
Perhaps I am not good at choosing club wear.
She turned back and forth examining the way the fabric hugged her body.
She liked that the dress was simple and red.
Its halter neckline hugged her neck like a collar, leaving her upper back exposed.
Hatshepsut wondered if this dress suited her.
“Senemut,” she sighed, “what do you think?”
Hatshepsut continued to look at herself for a few more moments before she realized that Senemut hadn’t responded.
She turned around to see Senemut smiling at one of the salesgirls.
The salesgirl was smiling back widely while she fluttered her lashes.
Hatshepsut rolled her eyes.
Could she not flirt in a more shameless way?
She wasn’t surprised.
Senemut naturally attracted female attention.
His demonic pheromones made him a magnet for female attention.
Of course, he usually has better control.
Something must have distracted him.
“Senemut,” Hatshepsut said again, sweetly, “how about you go hunting later and help out now?”
Senemut immediately turned his attention to her with an annoyed expression.
“I wasn’t hunting,” he said matter-of-factly.
“I was turning my attention elsewhere.
A man can only look at so many tight dresses.”
Hatshepsut could feel a familiar warmth developing in her belly as she watched Senemut rake his gaze over her in a way that was almost illicit.
He clicked his tongue as his eyes finally met hers in the mirror.
“I like it.
What’s the occasion?
This isn’t your usual style of dress.”
“No, it isn’t, but my boyfriend owns a club—”
“Boyfriend?” Senemut said, amused.
“My, Roman upgraded quickly.”
“You are reading too much into it,” Hatshepsut huffed.
“Sure, I am,” Senemut said as he returned to gazing at Hatshepsut.
“If you are looking for something to turn heads, I say you are on the right track.
I hope Roman isn’t the jealous type.”
“Believe me when I say he is very confident in himself.”
Senemut grunted with doubt as he cast his eyes to the side.
Hatshepsut smiled as she gave the dress one last look.
“I guess this one is a keeper,” Hatshepsut said as she began to tug at the zipper.
The zipper wouldn’t budge.
Hatshepsut huffed with frustration as she tried to gently pull the zipper without ripping the dress.
She heard Senemut chuckle as he walked up closer.
“Allow me.”
Hatshepsut moved her hands and allowed Senemut to help.
“It’s at an odd angle,” Senemut said with a grin.
“That’s why you can’t unzip it easily.”
With a firm jerk, the zipper released its hold.
Senemut slowly unzipped the dress, the back of his hand grazing her skin.
Hatshepsut closed her eyes as his touch sent delicious shivers through her.
She opened her eyes to find Senemut staring back at her in the mirror.
Her heart fluttered under the weight of his stare.
He flicked his tongue.
A guttural sound rumbled in his chest.
Hatshepsut gasped as he lowered his lips to her ear.
“I can taste your arousal,” he rasped.
Hatshepsut’s breath caught. This story is hosted at g.com.
The warmth that she previously felt in her stomach now began to radiate southward, confirming Senemut’s daring declaration.
Her eyes never left Senemut’s as his hands slowly glided against her skin, sending more shivers through her.
She found herself leaning back into him, savoring his touch.
She suddenly snapped out of her lustful haze as Senemut’s hands began to move inside the dress.
She pulled herself away abruptly as she wrapped her arms around herself to keep the dress up.
“Why don’t you go get some air,” Hatshepsut said quickly.
She walked away without giving Senemut another glance.
She closed herself in the dressing room, panting heavily.
Pull yourself together.
Hatshepsut couldn’t believe she reacted like that.
After all this time, Senemut could still make her melt with a look.
I cannot behave like this.
What was she?
Some chaste school girl that couldn’t handle the touch of a man?
Hatshepsut let the dress fall to the floor as she fumbled through the other dresses she had hanging in the dressing room.
She selected a navy one that fortunately didn’t have a zipper that she had to worry about.
She slipped it over her head and with a sigh, stepped out of the dressing room.
She once again walked over to where the mirrors stood and inspected herself.
“Great,” Hatshepsut mumbled to herself, “I sent my judge away.”
“I don’t mind giving my opinion.”
Hatshepsut looked up into the mirror to see where the soft yet masculine voice came from.
As soon as she looked up, Hatshepsut saw crimson.
She peered into the face of a tall gentleman in a black suit with crimson eyes.
His shaven head and half of his handsome face were marred by two scars that were clawed into his flesh.
His expression was serious, yet relaxed.
Crimson eyes .
.
.
Hatshepsut immediately turned around unable to hide the shock from her face.
“You,” Hatshepsut breathed.
The stranger took a casual look over Hatshepsut’s dress.
He crossed his arms and placed a gloved hand over his chin.
“I don’t think that color really suits you,” he said, dismissively.
He uncrossed his arms and began to pull off one of his gloves.
“I think black would do better.”
Hatshepsut froze as he reached out his ungloved hand towards her.
“Yes,” he mused as he gently caressed Hatshepsut’s cheek.
“Black like the plague should do nicely.”
*******
Senemut stood outside the shop, ignoring the other shoppers as they walked pass.
He closed his eyes, trying to block out everything, but was failing miserably.
With his eyes closed, more images of Hatshepsut began to seep in.
The kiss they shared in Egypt.
The way his body reacted to her touches at the lake.
Senemut opened his eyes hoping his licentious thoughts would vanish with the equally lustful images that kept coming to mind.
Why do I become so lost in her?
Senemut released a slow breath, hoping all his tension would leave with it, but it didn’t.
He sighed again ready to return to back to his torturous task.
“I don’t know if I can do this much longer.”
Senemut pursed his lips with a lick about to reenter the store, but stopped as a familiar taste teased his tongue.
Well, maybe not a person .
.
.
“Hello, Senemut.”
Senemut turned to see the scarred face of a gentleman.
Senemut instinctively relaxed as their eyes met.
“Touch,” Senemut said warmly.
“What brings you to this side of the world?”
“Nothing much really,” Touch said casually.
“I like a change of scenery every now and then.
Geshia was telling me how interesting a place this would be to visit.”
“Hmm,” Senemut nodded with realization.
“Geshia is why you’re here.
I assume this is about your father.”
“Always straight to the point.”
“As recall, you are not one to mince words either.”
“No, I suppose not,” Touch said with a grin.
“I was sorry to hear the news.
He was a great man.
He will be missed.”
“By some more the others,” Touch said tugging at his glove.
“It has been a tough adjustment.
He was a pillar of wisdom and strength that cannot be easily replaced.”
“Or forgotten.”
Touch nodded in agreement.
“We can only hope to find solace in retribution.”
Senemut’s previously relaxed demeanor turned to caution.
“Retribution?” Senemut asked involuntarily glancing at the store’s entrance.
“Retribution seems the opposite of comfort.”
“One’s inner peace can be achieved in many ways.”
Touch took a calculated step towards Senemut.
“For instance, one may find admiring the beauty around them as a path to peace.
I found the beauty of one particular woman very .

calming.”
Senemut’s jaw clinched causing a very visible twitch under his eye.
Touch continued as if he hadn’t noticed.
“Her skin was radiant like gold.
I couldn’t resist the urge.
I had to touch it.”
Senemut’s heart dropped as Touch’s smile widen.
Without another word, Senemut dashed into the store searching for Hatshepsut.
He stopped at the mirrors hoping to find her still gazing at herself, but she was nowhere to be seen.
Without a second thought he rushed into the dressing rooms, oblivious to the shocked looks and angry protests of a couple of customers.
He flicked his tongue desperate to find her scent.
Myrrh .
.
.
Senemut tore open the door he tasted the scent coming from.
His heart stilled at the sight that he found.
