Hatshepsut drove down the long stone drive to Roman’s house.

It’s our house, Hatshepsut thought to herself.

It felt very strange for her to share something with someone.Full novel: Immortal Deception — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She tried to think if she had ever shared anything with anyone.

Hatshepsut stopped herself from thinking about it.

She didn’t want to think about the depths of her own selfishness.

Staying with Roman was turning out better than she had thought.

Of course, it had only been a week.

He helped her move her few items in, which entailed mostly of clothes and shoes.

She decided she wasn’t going to move in any items that said ‘permanent’, like a set of lamps she adored or a chaise that she loved to lounge and read in.

She decided to keep those at her home.

Hatshepsut wanted to see how things were going to go first.

One day everything could be fine and the next everything could go to hell.

She did have to admit she was enjoying being waited on hand and foot by Roman’s numerous maids and butlers.

The place was crawling with people, from the cook and maid staff to the guards that walked the grounds.

It felt as if she was living in her palace again.

I am living in something like a palace.

Roman’s estate is massive.

He must sell more than guns.

He does own quite a few businesses in New Orleans and abroad.

He would be making quite a profit.

Hatshepsut pushed aside her thoughts of Roman’s wealth.

She already had more money than she would ever spend in ten lifetimes.

Why concern herself about money that she had no plans of spending anyway?

Hatshepsut pulled up to the front door and got out.

She grabbed her shopping bags and walked to the already open front door.

“Good afternoon, Ms.

Ma’at,” James said as he took her bags and keys.

“Is Roman in?” Hatshepsut asked as she took off her sunglasses and laid them on the table in the middle of the foyer.

“Master Kaine is in his study.

Should I announce you?”

“That is fine.

I will announce myself.”

Hatshepsut noticed James’s forehead furrow in worry.

“I do not mind,” he said with much fortitude.

“I want to surprise him.

Could you be a dear and take those bags upstairs?

Thank you, James.”

James gave Hatshepsut a nod and turned to walk up the stairs, looking back every once in a while, as if he would come back and stop her from going into the study.

Hatshepsut watched as he disappeared upstairs.

As she thought about it, it was a look she saw on many of the staffs’ faces when referring to their employer.

Fear and dread.

Hatshepsut pondered this.

She hadn’t ever heard Roman be cross with any of them.

Evidently, she had only been there for a few days.

Roman’s true nature may still be hidden.

She stood in front of the heavy double doors that lead to Roman’s study.

She knew that this was his personal room.

No one was allowed without admittance.

Hatshepsut thoughts bounced back and forth between knocking and bursting in.

Bursting in would definitely reveal Roman’s true self.

The thought made Hatshepsut grin.

She gripped the brass door handles but stopped.

There is no sense of me purposely causing conflict.

Hatshepsut sighed as she knocked on the door.

She heard Roman say an abrupt ‘Come in’.

Hatshepsut opened the door and stuck her head in.

Roman was on the phone, speaking angrily in some language that Hatshepsut was vaguely familiar with.

He looked up and motioned with his hand for her to come in.

Hatshepsut opened the door a little wider and walked in, shutting the door quietly behind her.

Hatshepsut looked around the room with interest.

It was the first time she had dared to venture in.

She was amazed at the contrast between the décor in this room compared to what she had seen of the house.

The foyer, as well as most of the house, was bright with light colored marbles and paint.

Even the bedroom’s darker color scheme was pale compared to the dark hues of this room.

The whole room was paneled with dark wood: the ceiling, the floors, the walls and even the massive desk he sat behind.

It gave the room an earthy feel.

The walls were decorated with tribal masks, spears and bows with the exception of one space where a decorated lion’s mane hung.

Various animal skins covered the floor and were draped across the chairs.

Behind the desk was a huge glass case that extended from wall to wall where a fat python slithered on one of the large logs that lay inside.

The most conspicuous item in the room was a stuffed lion that stood at one end of the desk with its mouth gaped open, looking rather ferocious.

Hatshepsut let her fingertips skim over the surprisingly soft fur as she passed it to sit on the edge of Roman’s desk.

Roman was still growling into the phone almost unceasing.

Hatshepsut sat patiently, watching the huge snake wrap around one of the branches that protruded from the log.

It turned its head in her direction; its eyes meeting hers.

It continued to stare at her relentlessly as if it was trying to read her soul.

Hatshepsut finally looked away.

The occurrence sent a shiver down her spine.

Soon all was silent.

Roman’s rant had taken a pause, but the phone was still to his ear.

Hatshepsut turned her attention to him, noticing that his appearance was a little unkempt.

His braids hung loose and strewed around his big shoulders.

His white linen pants were wrinkled, and his feet were bare.

His navy button down shirt was completely unbuttoned revealing his bare chest and his odd bone necklace.

Hatshepsut’s eyes trailed from his barrel chest to his washboard abs that seem to look even more rippling with Roman leaned back and slightly slouched in his chair.

Hatshepsut could feel a warmth growing between her legs as she thought about running her fingertips over the numerous grooves of his stomach.

Or maybe she would use her tongue.

Yes, how she would enjoy licking Roman from his chest down to his sexy navel.

By the gods!

How can a navel be sexy?

I do not think there is anything about Roman that is not sexy.

Hatshepsut loved the odd color of Roman’s braids and how it contrasted with his dark skin.

She loved his smile.

He never showed all his brilliant teeth.

He would only curl up one side of his mouth into a wicked grin.

She loved his honey-colored eyes especially when he was using them to admire her.

He would gaze at her like a lion staring at its prey waiting for the opportunity to pounce.

The thought of it made Hatshepsut tremble with desire.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Roman.

He reached out, grabbed her hand, and pulled her towards him so that she was sitting in the center of the desk.

He put the back of her hand to his cheek and smiled slightly for a moment.

There’s that crooked smile.

Hatshepsut could feel the warmth between her legs increasing.

Then his expression became serious as he released Hatshepsut’s hand and began to talk into the phone again.

“That isn’t good enough,” Roman said coldly.

“We made an agreement.

If it is not honored, I will be forced to collect, and you don’t want that.” With that, he clicked off his phone and tossed it onto the desk.

He laid his face in Hatshepsut’s lap and let out a heavy sigh.

Roman’s warm breath easily penetrated the fabric of her dress and caressed her thighs, making her shudder.

Hatshepsut gripped the edge of the desk. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

She could feel herself about to tip over the edge of reason.

How could she come so close to orgasm with pure thought?

She slowly unwrapped the fingers of one hand from the desk and began running her fingers through his locs, moving them all to one side carefully so that she would not snag any hair on his numerous earrings.

He had his eyes closed but opened them as soon as Hatshepsut moved the last braid from his face.

He held his head up and looked at her silently.

That’s the gaze.

That is all it took to send Hatshepsut from teetering on the edge of lust to taking a head dive into its ocean.

Hatshepsut clinched her thighs in hopes that Roman would not notice her inner chaos, but her uneven breathing betrayed her.

Roman raised an eyebrow with confusion evident on his face.

“Are you okay?” Roman asked with concern.

“I am fine,” Hatshepsut breathed.

Her voice trembled.

A different kind of smile formed on Roman’s lips.

It was much more wicked than usual.

“I know that voice,” Roman said as he rose from his seat.

Hatshepsut watched as Roman drew closer to her; his eyes burning into hers.

His intense stare was enough to inflame the passion that already engulfed Hatshepsut.

A chunk of the desk gave way in her grasp as she gave in to its flames.

Roman surrendered to its inferno as well as he began to kiss her with unbridled ferocity.

As his lips left her lips and began to trail to her cheek, Hatshepsut slightly withdrew with a gasp.

Roman had touched the very cheek that Touch had cursed earlier.

Her reaction was unintentional, and she tried to play it off, hoping Roman didn’t notice her slight hesitation.

Roman withdrew from her and looked at Hatshepsut strangely.

Yes, he noticed.

“Are you sure you are okay?” Roman asked as he took her hand into his, kissed the palm and pressed it against his chest.

She could feel Roman’s bony amulet poking into her palm.

It felt warm.

Hatshepsut could feel the warmth spreading across her palm.

“What have you been up to today?” Roman asked casually as he gazed deeply into her eyes.

His golden eyes burned into hers.

“I went shopping,” Hatshepsut said.

The heat was continuing up her arm.

“I got some dresses and a couple pairs of shoes.

Now I have something sexy to wear to the club.”

“Hmmm.

I think I will like that,” Roman said, as he began rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb.

“I would love to walk into my club with you on my arm.

I hope the dresses you bought fit like the black one you wore the other night.

I would really like that.”

“I am sure you would,” Hatshepsut said with a smile.

“Did you go see anyone today?”

The heat had spread to her face.

She felt light-headed.

Her thoughts were hazy.

“I went to see Senemut.”

She hadn’t planned to reveal that.

She thought that she saw a spark of anger flash across Roman’s eyes for the briefest moment.

She began to feel an urge to want to tell him more despite fact that she had already revealed more than she had intended.

“I went to see Senemut,” she said again.

“I went to see if he had done a favor for me.”

“Hmmm,” Roman said staring deeper; his rubbing of her hand never ceasing.

“What favor is that?”

Hatshepsut couldn’t turn away from his gaze.

She felt as if she was falling within their honey depths.

“I asked Senemut to see if his witch could help me retrieve Ochiru.”

The words kept coming.

They flowed out of her mouth like water out of a fountain.

She couldn’t stop.

She was compelled to speak.

“I didn’t know that was something you were thinking about,” Roman said.

“I didn’t know that was possible.”

“I do not know whether it is.

That is why I was hoping Senemut’s witch could help me.”

Hatshepsut had lost control of her thoughts.

She couldn’t focus on what she wanted to say and what was actually coming out of her mouth.

She felt as if Roman was staring into more than her eyes.

It felt as if he was staring into her very soul.

Hatshepsut willed herself to look away from Roman’s intense gaze.

She looked down at the hand that he held and snatched it away, cutting her hand on his necklace.

The deep cut caused blood to drip all over the bird skull and red stone of his necklace.

She gasped as the bony amulet absorbed her blood into its stone.

Roman looked at her, stunned.

“Are you okay?” Roman asked as he examined her hand.

“You cut yourself.”

“What were you doing to me?” Hatshepsut asked as she watched the deep gash heal.

“What are you talking about?”

“You were bewitching me,” Hatshepsut accused.

“You seemed tense.

I was only trying to comfort you.”

She tried to stand, but Roman grabbed her by the waist and held her there.

He used his body to open her legs wider so that he could stand in-between them.

“Where are you going?” Roman asked alluringly.

“We’re not done talking.

You were telling me about your day.”

“I am done,” Hatshepsut said.

Her head was still hazy, but she was able to focus better on her words.

“I don’t think you are,” Roman said.

His voice was calm, but his demeanor seemed cold.

“I thought you were dripping wet for me, but it seems that someone else has my queen .

.

.

wanting.” Roman almost growled the last word.

Hatshepsut stared up at him.

Is he trying to intimidate me?

She wasn’t particularly worried.

She knew that she was physically stronger than him.

It would be no trouble for her to move him out of her way.

“Only you,” Hatshepsut responded calmly.

“Is that so?” Roman asked as he placed his hand on her cheek.

Again, she unwillingly withdrew from his touch.

Roman’s already seething anger boiled over.

“What is that about?” He roared.

“You used to crave my touch.

Now you cringe from it.

Is it Senemut’s touch that you desire now?”

Hatshepsut could feel her own temper flaring, but she calmed herself.

Roman was unaware of what had taken place earlier today.

What other conclusion would he come up with?

Hatshepsut put her hands around Roman’s face.

“I have no desire for Senemut,” Hatshepsut said, looking into Roman’s eyes.

“My desire is reserved only for you.

I prefer no man–” This story is hosted at g.com.

Roman cocked an eyebrow.

“Or demon over you.

I had a very bad experience today.

While I was shopping, I got a visit from one of the Tenshi.

He is called Touch.

I found out why he is called Touch the hard way.”

“What do you mean?” Roman asked.

His tone softened slightly.

“He touched my face on the very cheek you touched and placed some pestilence upon me.

It was very painful.

I had not realized how much the occurrence affected me.”

Roman wrapped his arms around Hatshepsut.

She buried her head in his chest and inhaled his musky scent.

“I didn’t know,” Roman whispered into Hatshepsut’s ear.

“I never should have doubted you.

What can I do to make up for my horrid behavior?”

Hatshepsut pulled away and looked at Roman.

“I do not know,” she said, feigning disappointment.

“I do not think you can.”

Roman took Hatshepsut’s face into his hands.

He gently kissed her cheek over and over.

Hatshepsut closed her eyes, concentrating on the feel of Roman’s soft lips on her skin.

It was as if he was trying to kiss away all the pain she had felt earlier.

Yes, make me forget.

Please, make me forget.

Hatshepsut shivered at the feel of Roman’s warm breath on her neck as he kissed his way up and down her jaw line.

Hatshepsut gripped two handfuls of Roman’s shirt as his lips and now tongue caressed her throat.

“More.”

The word had slipped from Hatshepsut’s lips in a trembling breathe.

Roman pulled from Hatshepsut’s grasped.

She opened her eyes and looked at Roman as if he had abandoned her.

He placed a finger on her lips.

“Shh,” he said softly.

“Patience, my queen.

I am going to take care of you.

All of you.”

Roman swept his arm across his desk, knocking everything onto the floor.

He placed his hand on her chest and pushed her down onto the desk.

Roman allowed his shirt to slide from his godlike body to the floor before he slowly pushed the hem of her dress up her legs.

Hatshepsut began breathing harder as Roman bent down and kissed her inner thighs; the ends of his braids tickling her skin.

A stuttered breath escaped Hatshepsut’s lips as his slow sensual kisses continued upward.

She gasped as Roman’s tongue found her pleasure.

He used the tip of his tongue to trace her bud to its tip before he pressed his whole mouth over it.

Hatshepsut’s fingers entangle into Roman’s braids as he tongue lashed her.

He teased her with long slow strokes and then would bombard her with a flurry of licks, making Hatshepsut’s moans grow louder.

Roman opened her legs wider as his tongue ventured deeper.

It explored her many contours until finally he plunged his tongue into her already wet depths.

Hatshepsut’s back arched as she climaxed again.

“Mmm,” Roman breathed as he trailed the tip of his tongue on the edge of her other lips.

“Already?

I’m just warming up.”

Roman dove back in savagely devouring her; his tongue thrusting deep within her.

Hatshepsut gripped Roman’s braids tighter with one hand as she ran her other one up her body and to her breast as her moans turned to erotic sobs.

What was I supposed to forget?

Hatshepsut breathed a moan as he gave her one last lick before he slowly penetrated her with two of his fingers.

Roman massaged her depths with slow and deliberate motions as he returned to teasing her with his mouth.

Hatshepsut thank the gods for Roman’s excellent ability to multitask but feared she would surely explode if Roman stimulated her any farther.

Hatshepsut’s pleasure was so great she felt as if she was losing her mind.

“N-n-no more,” Hatshepsut stuttered.

She tried to pull away but Roman took hold of her legs and held her in place as he resumed salacious licking.

Her cries of protest only made Roman consume more fiercely.

Hatshepsut had come to the point where she had forgotten to breath.

Or perhaps she had already breathed all the air that was in the room.

That thought was interrupted by a growing pressure that had been building and was now ready to release.

Hatshepsut cried out as erotic bliss ruptured though her body.

Roman rose, licking his lips.

He unzipped his pants, releasing his already erect member.

Roman grabbed her legs and pulled her across the polished surface until her butt was just over the edge of the desk.

He released a soft moan as he slid himself into her.

“No more,” Roman scoffed.

“That’s what your mouth says.

Let’s see what your body has to say.”

Roman held her legs up together and against his chest as he stroked her deeply.

Hatshepsut softly whimpered with every stroke.

“You’re so wet,” Roman moaned.

“I may drown.”

Hatshepsut was already drowning under relentless waves of delicious rapture.

With each defining thrust, Hatshepsut would go under, believing she would never come to the surface again.

Roman released her legs, leaving them to drop to his sides.

Roman grabbed her waist and drove himself in deeper and faster.

Hatshepsut began to weep.

“Yes.

Yes.

Yesss!”

Her cries made Roman chuckled darkly as he arched his back, making his stiff flesh stroke her walls in ways that should have been forbidden.

She flexed her walls.

That only intensified the erogenous heat that radiated from her loins.

Roman moaned as Hatshepsut’s depths began contracting harder.

“Wait for me, beloved,” Roman breathed.

“I’m almost there.”

Hatshepsut was not sure whether or not she could fulfill that request.

Her back arched making her pleasure soar closer to its peak.

Roman held her hard against him.

She could feel his body vibrate as he released.

The feel of his hands on her body and of his throbbing member within her helped to finish her release just as Roman’s ended.

Roman staggered against the desk as her body convulsed making her inner walls hug him.

Roman pulled Hatshepsut up and kissed her deeply.

The flavor of sex was still on his tongue mixed with sweat that was dripping from his brow and down his face.

Its bittersweet taste was like wine to Hatshepsut’s lips.

Roman moaned in her mouth as her body still shuttered from the euphoria of what occurred.

Hatshepsut looked at the being before her and marveled.

Sweat rolled down his heaving chest, trailing to his flexing stomach and onto her silk dress.

She didn’t even care that it was staining the fabric.

He caressed her face.

This time Hatshepsut leaned her face into his hand.

Roman smiled.

“That’s more like it,” he said.
