The U.S.

military was undoubtedly one of the most elite military forces on Earth.

Whether in terms of personnel or weaponry, it stood at the very top of the world.Full novel: In Marvel: My Wife Is Hela, the Goddess of Death — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

If the trouble this time had been caused by a terrorist organization, the military would have been able to crush it with ease.

Unfortunately, their opponent this time was a monster that should never have existed.

Could humanity’s conventional weapons deal with the Hulk?

Obviously not.

By the same logic, conventional weapons couldn’t deal with Abomination either.

The most advanced weapons the military possessed couldn’t even break through Abomination’s skin.

Even missiles powerful enough to be considered strategic weapons could do little more than cause him some pain.

Instead, countless innocent civilians were caught in the military’s attacks and died beneath weapons created by humans themselves.

For a time, the entire City of Angels descended into chaos.

Countless people screamed and fled for their lives.

Ye Bai and Hela had already gotten into a car and were rapidly leaving the area where Abomination was rampaging.

Watching the footage on his phone of Abomination displaying his overwhelming power, Ye Bai couldn’t help feeling like laughing.

The U.S.

military really was something…

Then again, this was the Marvel world.

An ordinary person could undergo some random mutation and instantly become a walking disaster.

The fate of ordinary people living in a world like this was easy to imagine.

And that was without even mentioning the later invasion by the Chitauri army.

Just the casualties caused by Abomination alone had already reached tens of thousands.

The danger of the Marvel world was obvious.

“Maybe I should invest in a construction company.”

Ye Bai suddenly had an idea.

The age of superheroes was about to fully begin.

Destruction on the scale caused by Abomination would happen again and again in the future.

If he established a construction company, he certainly wouldn’t have to worry about a lack of business.

Of course, it was only an idea for now.

Ye Bai planned to consider setting up a company after returning to the Big Apple.

As for stopping Abomination’s rampage and becoming a hero admired by the people…

Sorry, Ye Bai genuinely had no interest in that.

Even though he had the ability to do so, he still wouldn’t.

He wasn’t a saint.

He was simply a selfish transmigrator.

As long as he wasn’t harming innocent people himself, he had already done what he considered his part.

Anything beyond that?

Whoever wanted to deal with it could go ahead.

Moral pressure?

Please.

Hela was even more indifferent.

She was actually quite interested in studying the Abomination shown in the video.

She herself was the Goddess of Death, the most infamous battlefield butcher in the Nine Realms.

Expecting Hela to become a hero and save the world?

You might as well expect Satan to leave Hell and turn over a new leaf.

In a way, this really was a case of birds of a feather flocking together.

Unlike Ye Bai and Hela, who remained completely calm, General Ross was nearly losing his mind.

After all, Abomination was a monster he had created.

Every bit of destruction Abomination caused would ultimately be blamed on him.

If he couldn’t eliminate Abomination quickly, there was no way he would escape the consequences.

None of his political enemies would let him off the hook.

If Abomination had appeared somewhere in the wilderness rather than the City of Angels, Ross might even have considered using a nuclear weapon.

Just then, his daughter, Elizabeth Ross, walked over with Banner.

Elizabeth Ross was Dr.

Banner’s girlfriend.

“Why did you bring him here?

Didn’t I have him locked up?”

Seeing Banner following behind his daughter, General Ross couldn’t hold back anymore.

As a father, he instinctively disliked any man who got close to his daughter.

Dr.

Banner was no exception.

And the fact that Banner was the Hulk made Ross dislike him even more.

“Father, this isn’t the time to worry about that.”

“We need to find a way to deal with Abomination, don’t we?”

Elizabeth Ross spoke to her father, successfully stopping him from pursuing the matter of her releasing Banner.

As for Dr.

Banner, he had voluntarily asked to come.

Unlike Ye Bai, Banner was the kind of person who possessed the qualities of a hero.

He couldn’t stand by and watch Abomination continue destroying the city.

After all, Abomination’s creation was partly connected to him as well.

Besides, Banner knew that the military alone had no realistic chance of stopping Abomination.

The only way to fight Abomination was to bring out the Hulk.

“Let me go.

I can deal with that monster.”

Banner didn’t waste time and immediately explained why he had come.

He wanted to bring out the Hulk and have the Hulk fight Abomination.

Otherwise, the City of Angels might be destroyed.

“No.

The Hulk inside you has already been suppressed.

There’s no way he can come out again in such a short time.”

“Going there would only get you killed, so you can’t go.”

Ross rejected Banner’s proposal without hesitation.

He couldn’t risk losing the Hulk again.

Abomination might be beyond saving, but the Hulk had to remain firmly in his hands.

His future depended on it.

Just as the two were locked in a stalemate, General Ross’s phone rang.

He answered it, and his expression quickly turned grim.

The call was from senior military officials.

They were calling to criticize him for the disaster he had caused.

They also ordered him to eliminate Abomination immediately.

The United States could not allow the City of Angels to be destroyed.

The City of Angels and the Big Apple were the two largest cities in the United States, and both were enormously important.

Losing either one would be a devastating blow to the country.

Naturally, the United States wasn’t willing to accept that.

Feeling the pressure from his superiors, General Ross fell silent.

The situation was now critical.

He could no longer hesitate.

He had to respond immediately.

With that thought, General Ross looked toward Dr.

Banner.

“Good luck.”

General Ross finally agreed to Banner’s request.

When it came to monsters, perhaps the best way to deal with one was to use another monster.

As for everything else, they could discuss it after Abomination had been dealt with.

After receiving General Ross’s approval, Dr.

Banner quickly boarded a military helicopter and began flying toward Abomination’s location.

General Ross and his daughter Elizabeth didn’t accompany him.

What important figure would willingly put himself in danger?

“Hulk, I’m counting on you this time.”

Sitting inside the helicopter, Dr.

Banner spoke to the Hulk in his mind.

Right now, there was only one way to stop Abomination from continuing his rampage.

The Hulk had to fight him.

As for whether the Hulk was actually strong enough to defeat Abomination, Banner wasn’t very confident himself.

He could only take things one step at a time.

What else could he do?

Soon, Dr.

Banner arrived over the City of Angels and saw Abomination rampaging through the city below.

The grotesque monster was destroying everything in sight without restraint, reducing the city to ruins.

Banner knew he had to act.

So without hesitation, he jumped from the helicopter and began falling toward the area where Abomination was wreaking havoc.
