"Is this part of the exercise, Sensei?" Kirishima looked at the group.
"No." He frowned and grimly added
"Stay back; those guys are the real deal; they are villains.”
The portal opened up, and out of it came dozens of men and women, all dressed differently and with a wide variety of looks.
As I took in the sight of various villains, the one that stood out the most in the middle of them was Shigaraki, a man with a skeletal frame, pale blue hair, and multiple hands attached to his body.
Kurogiri, a human-shaped being with a mist-covered body and a metal plate on what seems to be his neck.
And finally, the strongest of all those people with a bird beak and exposed brain... Nomu.
‘ Wow. Just seeing that in person is really bizarre. It's one thing to read about them in the manga or see them in the anime; now it's a whole other thing to see them in real life.’
From within, the gathered villain Shigaraki steps forward with Kurogiri standing slightly behind him.
His voice resounding through the air, "The only real heroes I see are Thirteen and Eraser Head. I don't understand. According to the schedule we retrieved from UA, All Might should be here as well? What's going on?”
Hearing this, Aizawa frowned deeper
“So it was you scumbags who used the press as a cover to sneak onto campus.”
Shigaraki tilted his head, ignoring Aizawa “Where is he? I went through all this trouble and brought so many playmates who're eager to meet him. They want All Might. The great Symbol of Peace wouldn't want to disappoint everyone, right?”
His bloodshot eyes dart toward us,
“I can't believe he's not here yet. I wonder if he'll show up to play with us if we kill some of his dear kids?”
At his words, the faces of some of my classmates morphed into horrified expressions, with some of them even shaking as they took an instinctive step back to distance themselves as much as possible from him.
Aizawa moved without hesitation, positioning himself between the villains and us to lessen their fear.
"What? Real villains!? No way! What villains would be so dumb to sneak into a school for heroes!?" Kirishima exclaimed in confusion.
‘ He is right. They aren't stupid enough to come here just for the sake of making trouble.’
Aizawa turned around, voice sharp with urgency.
"Gather together and don't move!”
Kaminari tried to call the school, but it didn't work as the communications were down.
"Sensei! What about the intruder alarm, shouldn't it be going off?!" Momo asked, turning toward Thirteen.
"Of course we have some set up around the place, but I'm not sure why they aren't responding, perhaps…”
Thirteen started but was cut off by me.
"They were surely disabled, and I can bet it's one of these villains' quirks doing it," I replied, pausing for a few seconds,
"If All Might is their target, like they said. Then it wouldn't be surprising if they deliberately choose this isolated facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught to ambush us, and as long as no one outside realizes what's going on here, there will be no backup."
I said while observing the villains gathered below.
Aizawa took a few steps forward as he put on his goggles.
"Thirteen! Protect the students and make sure they escape unharmed. I'll delay the villains for as long as possible. Kaminari, use your Quirk to see if you can get a signal and call for help."
Not wasting any more time, he began to give orders.
Kaminari answered, "Yes, sir!”
"Understood. Everyone, head to the exit." Thirteen said as she began guiding everyone towards the exit.
Midoriya looked at Aizawa with a worried expression. "What are you doing, Sensei? You can't fight them alone”
“Even with your quirk, there are too many of them. Your fighting style involves erasure of quirks and a quick binding to capture your opponent. Head-on battles are suitable for you.”
" You can't be a pro if you only have one trick up your sleeve. You should be focusing on getting out of here. Now move,” he said to Midoriya before adjusting his scarf and jumping down the stairs and running towards the group of villains.
I just sighed, looking at this scene and knowing what was coming; I decided to take action in advance.
"There's no time to waste, Midoriya; let's follow Thirteen." My voice was loud enough to have everyone turn their attention towards me.
“Ida, can you come over here? I have a job for you?”
"... Class vice-president?!"
"I want you to run ahead of us back to the school and relay the situation to the faculty!"
“The alarms aren't sounding, and our phones and radios are useless right now.
It's more than likely that whoever is causing this interference hid as soon as they warped into the USJ.
They could be anywhere, and we don't have the time to hunt him down. It'll be faster for you to run to school and get help than for us to find whoever's jamming everything.”
"B-but! I can't abandon my classmates, that's-."
Cutting him off before he could finish, I said,
"Who said anything about abandoning anyone? This is an emergency, and we need support!"
“That's right! Use your Quirk to save others. Be a real hero!” Thirteen said.
"Yeah! You're our best hope; you can definitely do it!" Yaoyorozu said, encouraging him as Mina and Uraraka were furiously nodding beside her.
“Don't waste more time, now go!”
“ Don't worry, vice-president, I'll be running at full speed.”
We all watched as Ida sped off and exited the building.
‘ Good, now that he's gone, we can avoid any complications in case things don't go well when Kurogiri appears. By the time All Might arrives, I should have dealt with Shigaraki. Taking one arm before he retreats should be enough, I think.’
" Let's go, students! We also need to evacuate!" Thirteen yelled out before turning around, ready to guide us outside the building. We began to follow her in the direction of the exit, but were stopped by a familiar purple mist that took the form of Kurogiri.
"I'm afraid there is no escape for you." He said as a thick cloud of black mist unfurled, stretching to block the exit.
‘ It seems like he is unaware of Ida's early departure. That means I don't have to do anything!’
‘ I can just step back and watch.’
"Greetings, I must say It's a pleasure to meet you. Let me introduce ourselves; we are the League of Villains. I hope you forgive our audacity, but today, we took it upon ourselves to enter U.A. High School, this haven of justice, to meet All Might. And besides, isn't this a fitting place for him, the Symbol of Peace, to take his last breath?”
Kurogiri confirmed the league's intention to the students' shock.
"We were under the impression that All Might would be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must've been some sort of change in plans we could not have foreseen. Well, whatever the case may be… my role remains unchanged.”
Thirteen, hearing the villain's monologue, pointed her hand towards him, about to use her quirk to immobilise him. However, Bakugo and Kirishima surprised her by charging at Kurogiri. One struck him with a solid swing of his hardened fist, and the other with an explosion, creating a cloud of smoke.
"Like hell we'll just sit here and let you do that!” Bakugo said to the villain.
"Hell Yeah!”
They were celebrating the villain's defeat, but then Kurogiri's voice returned as his form appeared once more once the cloud of smoke cleared.
"That was close… You may be students, but you really live up to your school's reputation. I would recommend that you, however, be more careful, children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt.”
He continued,
“It would be better to scatter you across this facility to meet my comrades; after all, I don't think I alone can entertain you all!”
"Get back! Both of you!" Thirteen shouts as Black mist surges towards them.
“Crap. What is this?!” Bakugo yelled while retreating to avoid the mist.
After that, things pretty much ended the same as they did in canon, with Thirteen getting injured by the suction of her own quirk, and some of the students, me included, were sent to different zones by Kurogiri. Having made my choice, I also let the fog swallow me.
' The reason I didn't take action is that I'm hoping everyone survives and gains experience fighting villains. And by letting Kurogiri send me away, it gives me the perfect occasion to take Shigaraki by surprise.’
‘ I've got to admit, though, Kurogiri's ability to teleport is really useful. It’s a really hard quirk to counter, especially if its user is determined to escape. In that case, only the likes of Aizawa should be able to stop him.’
