Kenshin pulled the stunned girl inside and dropped their things in the “hallway,” locking a makeshift door behind him.

Aya couldn’t believe her eyes; she felt like she had stepped into a fairy tale, or at least into the home of an incredibly wealthy man.

But how?” the girl asked, stunned.

“Every wizard has his secrets… And you haven’t even seen all this beauty in good lighting!” the young man replied proudly, pulling the girl into the “living room.”

Kenshin took out two candles he had prepared earlier, taken from Aya’s house, lit them, and extinguished the torch, handing one of the candles to the girl.

He didn’t want to ruin the beautiful mosaic ceiling of the living room with soot.

The girl took the offered candle in a daze and stared at the splendor before her.

She had never seen such a beautiful dwelling before and couldn’t hide her immense surprise.

“Here, come here, hold this,” Kenshin said, handing her the second candle.

He then picked up a small stepladder, placed it in the middle of the room, climbed onto it, and began to remove the “lampshade.” Aya didn’t understand what he was doing, but obediently did as she was told.

Kenshin managed to unscrew the white lampshade and carefully climbed down with it.

Under the girl’s interested gaze, he unscrewed the top part of the lampshade, then took out a small nail and began scratching something on the inside.

The young man scratched thoughtfully for a few minutes, then stopped, then started scratching again, not bothering to explain himself.

And although he had traced these runes in his mind several times, and even drawn them on the ground once that morning before shaving, the “ritual” took him a good five minutes, and he nearly made a mistake several times.

Encouraged, Kenshin climbed back onto the stepladder and began screwing the lampshade back in.

Then he scratched something on the outside of the lampshade, and a few seconds later, the lampshade flickered several times before glowing with a bright white light, startling the poor girl.

Seeing the lampshade suddenly light up, Aya jumped back in fright, almost dropping both candles and letting out a frightened squeal.

“Aaah!

God, Kenshin, what is that?” the girl muttered in shock, squinting from the bright light.

“It’s a primitive lighting formation.

It doesn’t allow just anyone to turn it on and off yet, but I’ll work on that tomorrow and make it right!” Kenshin replied in the coolest tone possible, as if it were worthless nonsense, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t hide the sparkle in his eyes or the occasional twitch of a smile.

The young man was immensely proud of the result.

Getting used to the bright light, Aya began to look around and couldn’t help but gasp in surprise again.

“God, it’s so beautiful…” the girl muttered, admiring the beauty of the wallpaper and the mosaic ceiling.

She couldn’t resist and gently stroked the back of the large leather couch, enjoying the sensation.

“Don’t be so scared, it doesn’t bite.

Here, sit down,” Kenshin said, sitting on the couch and pulling the girl down next to him.

“Ah!

God, Kenshin, we’re dirty, we’ll ruin such beauty…” Aya groaned, pulling her body in, wanting to touch the unprecedented luxury as little as possible.

“Stop it, this is our home now, and you’re not a guest here, you’re the mistress.

You could even tear this couch apart, and no one would say a thing.”

“W-what?

Tear apart such beauty?

Never!” the girl declared, relaxing a little with a gentle smile, and finally leaned back against the couch, letting out a soft moan as she experienced such a soft and high-quality couch for the first time.

Kenshin leaned back against the couch too, relaxing his tired muscles a bit.

After resting for five minutes, he got up from the couch and said, “Rest a bit, you can lie down, the couch doesn’t bite.

I need to do one more thing.”

Aya nodded and continued to gaze in awe at the beautiful wallpaper, the large dining table, the chest of drawers, two armchairs, and many smaller details, enjoying the luxury of her new home.

Meanwhile, Kenshin headed to the bathroom, lit a candle, placed it on the sink, and brought in the stepladder, getting to work on another lampshade.

The second time around, the young man drew the necessary formation much faster and installed lighting in the bathroom.

Finished with the lighting, he glanced at the large tank bolted to the wall near the ceiling, like a “water heater.” Initially, he had wanted to install a classic water heater, but when he realized the “system” wouldn’t allow any electronics, he changed his mind.

As the basis for his “magical water heater,” he took a typical tank from Aya’s backyard, and the system immediately picked up on the images and offered him suitable design options, adapting to his wishes.

Kenshin chose a tank that could be disassembled into two parts without much difficulty.

The tools at the young man’s disposal were quite ordinary.

The system allowed him to create the simplest tools, such as kitchen knives, a wrench, a hammer, an axe, a saw, and a few others.

No weapons or tools for specialized tasks.

And while all the items in the shelter had a ban on being taken outside, this ban was partially lifted for tools, which could be taken out for up to eight hours.

After that time, the tool would disappear and reappear in its original place only after 30 days.

After reading all sorts of explanations in the system, the young man was very surprised that the “system,” while offering enormous possibilities, practically gave no loopholes for gaining an unfair advantage where it wasn’t originally intended.

Whether it was taking things out of the house to sell, or using electricity to create technological items and mechanisms.

But Kenshin was happy with what he had.

He was satisfied that at least he wouldn’t have to worry about a warm bed and a hot shower.

The young man also understood that if he didn’t become powerful enough, a shinobi of the “Kage” level would only need a single wave of his hand to destroy his magnificent home, and soft pillows and fluffy bathrobes wouldn’t help him in a fight.
