The day started off as another regular day for Akira.
Wake up, breakfast, training with Mito and them playing with Kushina.
Kushina had other plans though.
After exploring almost all of Konoha, she decided it was time to go in the playground.
Arriving with the energy of a whirlwind, Kushina dragged Akira towards the other kids.
“Hi! Can we play together?” She asked.
“Sure!” replied a slightly chubby boy.
Akira felt that the group of kids looked familiar.
A lazy looking boy with hair like a pineapple, a chubby boy who had pockets lined with snacks and a golden haired boy who had an easygoing personality.
‘The original Ino-Shika-Cho team.’ He realized.
These were Shikamaru’s father: Shikaku, Ino’s father: Inoichi, and Choji’s father: Choza.
The genin teams after graduation didn’t always follow the 2 girls and 1 boy format.
The hokage was the one who made the teams, making exceptions for certain individuals or teams was understandable.
Especially with the synergy that these three clans had.
If they coordinated properly, they could easily take down an average Jonin, even while being genin.
“What’s your name?” asked Akira.
He couldn’t let them know he knew them beforehand.
That would make him look like a stalker, and if he told them about his memories, they might look at him like a crazy person.
“I’m Shikaku Nara, this is Inoichi Yamanaka and Choza Akimichi, you?” Shikaku said lazily, while Choza waved the chips in his hand.
“I’m Akira, the hyperactive girl who came with me is Kushina, nice to meet you.”
Unfortunately, Akira couldn’t use his last name publicly.
Tobirama wanted the village to be united so he integrated all the Senju members into the civilians families.
His idea was that no one, even the clans were above the village.
That was partly why Konoha had so many civilian geniuses.
The Senju blood gave these families decent ninja potential.
Akira even suspected that Minato was a descendant of the Senju, because of his talents.
Akira also didn’t want to use the Uchiha last name from his mom because of the trouble that came with it.
“Girls are troublesome.” Shikaku muttered, going to lay down under the shade of a tree.
“True that.” Akira said, following him.
Akira liked playing with Kushina, but having a bunch of kids with way too much energy would be exhausting, even for him.
“So, are you guys related to Mito-sama?” Shikaku asked.
Even without telling him their surnames, there were few clans that had white and red hair in Konoha.
Given that Shikaku was familiar with the Akimichi clan, he knew Kushina wasn’t from there.
Add to that Akira looks that resembled the Second Hokage on the hokage rock a bit, he easily pieced it together.
“Yeah, she’s our grandma.” Akira replied.
Their conversation eased after that.
Shikaku being smart, made him more mature for his age, and Akira being a reincarnator did the same.
They were two peas in a pod.
From time to time he would catch Kushina watching him in between games, and he smiled, a relaxed, content smile.
‘Hopefuly I can keep things this way.’
Akira knew the story, the second ninja war, Madara scheming behind the scenes and Black Zetsu scheming behind him.
Truly the definition of the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.
This peace wouldn’t last long, but Akira decided he would prevail against all of them.
His mother’s words and his family, driving him forward.
After saying goodbye to the trio, Kushina and Akira headed home, hand in hand.
“Why didnt you come play with us? Choza was so easy to catch.” Kushina asked.
She had fun playing with other children for the first time, but she wanted to play with Akira more.
“I prefer when it’s just the two of us.” Not the whole truth, but the truth nonetheless.
Kushina went red, all the way to her neck.
‘She really does resemble a tomato.’ He thou.
A fact he kept to himself, because he valued his life.
On the way home, they heard some kids shouting.
“Your eyes look weird you freak!”
“Yeah, you look like a ghost!”
‘Jesus,’ Akira thought, ‘ discrimination is everywhere in this world.’
In canon there were alot of instances of discrimination, and frankly it was absurd.
Kushina, Naruto, Hinata, Guy, even the Uchiha clan, though maybe they deserved theirs. The rest though, was just plain wrong.
‘But this feels familiar somehow.’ Akira thought.
After getting closer to see what was going on, Akira froze.
Surrounded by a mix of children was a girl with white eyes.
The reason Akira froze however was that she looked exactly like Hinata.
It looked so identical to the anime that Akira thought he time traveled for a second.
But then realization dawned on him.
‘She must be Hinata’s mother, but why the hell is she getting bullied, just like Hinata.’
So that begged the question, why was she alone?
Even if she wasn’t a princess, a main family member of the Hyuga was very important because their byakugan could be stolen.
‘Did she run away or something, but could she even do that from the hyuga clan?’ He thought, ‘Man, the Hyuga clan really is unreliable.’
Their caged bird seal was essentially a slave system, they focus only on taijutsu with their byakugan when they have the potential for so much more, and they can’t even guard their children properly.
Akira remembered a ninja from Kiri stealing a byakugan as well, further solidifying his thoughts.
Luckily though, the girl didn’t seem to be shy like Hinata.
She looked utterly composed in the face of the insults but she also wasn’t fighting back.
Hinata said she wanted to be kind, gentle and nurturing like her mother, so if this girl really was her, then her behavior made sense.
Kushina, already hating bullies because of her experience with them in Uzu, rushed in.
” Hey, what’re you doing!
Get away from her!” She shouted, jumping between them.
Akira also followed, looking at them coldly.
“Who are you guys?”” Get out of here!”” This doesn’t concern you!” They shouted.
The girls were the ones doing the bullying, while the boys just looked on with smug looks on their faces.
“So you can go back to bullying her? Not a chance, dumbasses.” Akira said.
“What’d you say? Bastard! You wanna go!?”
“I won’t fight pathetic idiots like you. You only know to insult people to feel good about yourself, and when words don’t work you resort to violence. Leave. Now.” Akira said, opening his sharingan.
The kids bravado faltered, then one of the boys put on a stubborn face, held his head high, and said,”Hmph, you ain’t worth it anyway.
C’mon guys.”
After they left,Akira turned to the Hyuga girl only to see her bowing.
“Thank you, for helping me.” She said.
“Don’t worry about it, I hate people like that. I’m Kushina and this is Akira, what about you?” Kushina asked.
“My name is Hana Hyuga, I was just on my way home when they surrounded me.”
“Good job holding out. Those jerks where just jealous of how beautiful your eyes are, don’t take them seriously.” Akira said.
Hana’s brave face momentarily changed to something more vulnerable, but then she realized what he said and got embarrassed.
“Th-thank you.” She said, her voice small.
‘Cute’ He thought.
Hana’s hair was longer than Hinata’s had been at the same age, so Akira genuinely thought she was cute.
He had a preference for longer hair.
“C’mon, we’ll walk you home.”
