It took 2 months for Nawaki’s school term to come to an end, and he now had another 2 months of break before the new term starts.
During these 8 weeks, Akira diligently practiced his breathing technique at all waking hours.
He couldn’t keep doing it when he was asleep yet and he had to conciously do it, but he was confident in figuring it out before he started the academy at 6.
His fuinjutsu skills also advanced at a, according to Mito, monstrous pace even for Uzumaki standards.
He was able to draw a normal sized storage scroll seal and now, he moved on to summoning contract seals.
From the storage scrolls he did find out that he had talent in space seals but he wasn’t sure if it was good enough for flying thunder god(ftg).
The summoning scrolls will help do a better job at testing his space talent because summoning contracts require using seals to bridge space and time.
Ftg could also be oversimplified as a summoning contract, one that summons a person to wherever the mark is placed.
The range of his Kagura minds eye(kme) also increased by a fair amount, 500 metres, which doesn’t seem like much, but considering that he could now see characteristics of chakra, like Tsunade’s having a lot of life force due ro her medical skills, is actually a good pace.
Even Nawaki started getting the basics of Tobirama’s sensing technique and can already do it in spars at the academy.
Nawaki’s chakra nature was both earth and water, which was what was required for wood release, but he recently started grinding his water release to be like Tobirama.
Akira wondered if he could somehow help Nawaki awaken wood release.
That would definitely give him a better chance at survival in the future.
Tsunade, in between her classes with the Third, which was significantly less because of him being the hokage, and her missions, started helping out at the hospital.
Because of Tobirama’s medical notes, and her own genius, she was quickly becoming known as a medical-nin.
Hiruzen’s wife, Biwa Sarutobi, also gave her lessons and appreciated the extra help at the hospital.
A week before the departure to Uzu, both Mito and Tsunade went to the hokage to inform him of their trip.
Tsunade had to submit her leave, and Mito being the Jinchuriki had to at least tell Hiruzen that she was using a shadow clone to go with her family.
Truthfully she didnt have to because she was also very respected, but she understood that the nine tails was important to the village and Hiruzen was the hokage so he deserved respect.

The third hokage scrambled to hide his crystal ball with an embarrassed face.
Tsunade, seeing this gave a contemptuous sneer.
She knew both her sensei and teammate, Jiraiya, were perverts, but she couldn’t exactly beat the hokage so she took all her frustrations out on Jiraiya.
Though recently she started lessons with Biwa Sarutobi so she would find a chance to tell her about the Third’s hobbies.
Mito, with the experience of someone who knew his habits since his days as Tobirama’s student, gave the Hokage a way out by stating their purpose.
“Hiruzen I want to take my family for a trip to Uzushiogakure for the holidays. I know how important the nine tails is to the village so I would send a shadow clone with them and my main body will still be here.”
“That is fine, Mito-sama. I’m just sorry you can’t go yourself and have a nice vacation with your family.” replied Hiruzen, recovering from his earlier embarrassment.
“It’s fine, I know how much the other villages want the village my husband built, so I will gladly protect it in his place.”
“Thank you, I will also do my best to protect Konoha. Hope you have a wonderful time at Uzu Tsunade.” said Hiruzen.
“Hmph, it will be better than whatever you see in that crystal ball.” Tsunade sneered.
A week later, a caravan could be seen outside of Konoha with some jonin ninja protecting it.
Inside sat Tsunade, Mito, Nawaki and Akira.
Mito actually told a lie to Hiruzen about using her shadow clone to go.
Instead she created the clone, filled it with as much of the nine tails chakra she could, and went with her real body.
Shadow clones make a copy of everything that the creator has on them, weapons, clothes etc.
by using chakra to make physical copies.
Jinchuriki can’t copy their tailed beast sealed inside them, but the clone can be made with the tailed beast chakra that is available.
Naruto was able to do this in the 4th ninja war and give a tailed beast cloak to the entire shinobi alliance.
Mito had the nine tails for decades and, with her fuinjutsu, is able to subdue it easily.
Unlike Naruto who was able to enter Kuruma chakra mode(kcm) after he beat the nine tails, Mito was only able to use the red chakra cloak because Kuruma doesn’t acknowledge her.
When Naruto fought Kuruma in the sealing space and won, even though he didn’t say it, Kuruma acknowledged Naruto at least a little.
After seeing the life Naruto lived from birth, then his choices throughout his life, and after being beaten by Naruto and seeing his strength, Kuruma’s hatred that was in his chakra was easier to separate allowing Naruto to enter Kcm 1, even without Kuruma’s assistance.
“Are you sure about coming in person grandma?” questioned Nawaki.
“What, you don’t want me here?” she asked raising a brow.
Sensing the dangerous atmosphere, Nawaki shook his head so fast he almost got whiplash.
“Don’t worry, no one will find out, I left enough chakra in the clone so that even if anything happens, she can deal with it.”
During the journey, Akira practiced the breathing technique and also used the new environment to further train the precision of his sensing.
He also started getting accustomed to making hand signs.
Because of his pure bloodline, chakra control came easy to him, but since he was young and only interacted with chakra for less than a month he was still doing the leaf training exercise.
Eventually, like Indra, he wouldn’t need hand signs at all, unlike even Hashirama who needed to clap his hands for jutsu.
He also wanted to master one handed hand seals, at least while he still had to use them.
Uzu was located on an island surrounded by whirlpools just across the sea from the land of whirlpools.
The journey itself took about 3 weeks but with training and his family to keep him occupied, Akira was never bored.
On the boat ride across the sea, Mito even pointed out that some whirlpools were named because of how big they were.
After disembarking the boat, the clan head of the Uzumaki clan personally came to welcome them.
Mito, being the princess of Uzumaki was well known and respected for her strength and being able to create a treaty with Hashirama, and by extension Konoha.
