“Screw your dad! Did you forget I’m here too?!”

A middle-aged woman in the crowd muttered angrily under her breath, grabbing the ear of the man who had just spoken.

“Ouch!” The man felt a sharp pain in his ear and only then remembered he had come with his wife to join in the commotion. His heart instantly sank, and he quickly lowered his voice to beg for mercy: “Wife, spare me! I was wrong!”Full novel: In the 70s, the Little Darling is Spoiled by a Crazy Rough Man — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But the woman wasn’t about to let him off so easily. Without any mercy, she dragged him by the ear down the slope, scolding as she went:

“Later, when I start dealing with you, you better learn from Shen Yingying! See if you can get me to let you off the way Little Xie let Shen Yingying off!”

The man stumbled and crawled as he was dragged along. “Wife! I’m sorry! I won’t talk nonsense again!”

This little interlude between the two stirred up the crowd for a moment. After the commotion died down, sighs of disappointment toward Xie Fangzhu resumed.

Little Xie was clearly smart at the mine, decisive and never dragging his feet—so how did such a fine young man become so useless when it came to Shen Yingying?

Everyone understood that when a couple fights, if they make up in bed, the argument usually ends there.

Given the situation between Xie Fangzhu and Shen Yingying today, forget about Xie Fangzhu taking action again—they probably wouldn’t even be able to keep arguing.

Besides, things had already reached this point, and everyone felt too embarrassed to keep listening. One by one, they drifted away.

In the end, only Liu Guizhen remained—the one who had suffered setbacks at the hands of both Shen Yingying and Xie Fangzhu.

She hadn’t managed to beat Shen Yingying today, and on top of that, she had been publicly humiliated by Xie Fangzhu’s retort. She was seething with anger.

If Xie Fangzhu had given Shen Yingying a good beating, she might have felt a little better.

But who would have thought that Xie Fangzhu was no match for that woman Shen Yingying? With just a few words, she had him wrapped around her finger.

It made Liu Guizhen’s liver ache with rage! She wished she could rush in and slap Shen Yingying twice across the face.

But that was clearly impossible. Not only was the door bolted from the inside, but even if it weren’t, just thinking about Xie Fangzhu’s expression earlier was enough to scare her. How could she dare charge in?

Still, Liu Guizhen wasn’t discouraged. Shen Yingying’s nonsense could only fool a fool like Little Xie. She didn’t believe a word of it.

Someone like Shen Yingying—how could she possibly be innocent?

Liu Guizhen would catch her red-handed sooner or later! She’d make everyone see what a promiscuous woman Shen Yingying really was!

…

Some people have a particular talent for certain things, and Xie Fangzhu was one of them.

In the book, he was portrayed as a lunatic with absolutely no interest in women. But after today’s practical experience with him, Shen Yingying’s perspective was completely refreshed.

He was too strong!

After the first, second, and third rounds, her back ached, her waist was sore, and her whole body felt like it had fallen apart. She begged for mercy repeatedly before finally escaping his grasp and drifting off into a hazy sleep.

When she woke again, she had no idea what time it was.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw someone propped up on an elbow, staring intently at her.

His gaze was fixed on her, his brow slightly furrowed, his eyes filled with scrutiny and a chilling gloom.

Shen Yingying was startled by that look, thinking he was about to go crazy again. Her barely-awake mind was forced into high gear as she prepared to react.

But then the gloom in his eyes suddenly vanished. With his other hand, he casually pulled the thin quilt up over her, his voice low:

“Awake?”The man before her had a handsome face and bright eyes, as if the earlier gloom had been her illusion.

For a moment, she truly doubted whether she had misseen.

But she quickly snapped back to reality.

In the book, Xie Fangzhu was the most skilled actor—a ruthless, deranged old fox adept at playing mind games.

That earlier gloom was definitely not an illusion. What wicked scheme was he plotting now?

Though inwardly terrified, her face remained drowsy and sleepy.

She nodded, two faint blushes appearing on her snow-white cheeks.

Then, shyly, she snuggled deeper into his embrace, wrapping her arms around his lean waist.

Her movement caused the thin quilt covering her to slip halfway down, revealing large patches of skin.

Xie Fangzhu’s breath hitched, and his previously expressionless face instantly cracked.

He hurriedly averted his gaze, using his peripheral vision to pull the quilt back up, leaving only her head exposed.

Shen Yingying noticed his small gesture and realized he was already dressed, while she lay under the thin quilt. She could feel she was completely bare beneath it.

Probably after she fell asleep, Xie Fangzhu felt too embarrassed to face her naked body, let alone dress her, so he simply covered her with the quilt.

Thinking this, she lifted her gaze to look at Xie Fangzhu.

Sure enough, his handsome face was noticeably flushed.

Shen Yingying was astonished once again. She never expected Xie Fangzhu to be so pure in this regard.

But this version of him was far more pleasing to the eye than the gloomy, shadowed one.

Her courage grew a little, and she felt the urge to tease him.

Her arms slowly slid up from around his waist, and two snow-white arms emerged from under the quilt, hooking around his neck. Her voice was sweet and soft, “I’m aching all over now. You were too rough—you don’t know how to be gentle…”

Her words were anything but polite, yet they carried no trace of anger, sounding more like a coquettish complaint.

Feeling the slightly cool touch of her arms, Xie Fangzhu reacted as if facing a great enemy, hurriedly pulling her hands down and tucking them back under the quilt.

His face burned hot as he mumbled, “I’ll be more careful next time… You should get dressed quickly.”

Shen Yingying couldn’t help but laugh, her eyes curving into crescents. She lifted her face, her eyes like pools of clear water, sparkling with ripples.

“Alright,” she nodded, holding the quilt as she sat up in bed.

Seeing this, Xie Fangzhu quickly straightened up and turned around, sitting with his back to her, refusing to look.

“Where are my clothes?”

“On your left side.”

She glanced over and saw her originally scattered clothes neatly folded against the wall.

There was no doubt Xie Fangzhu had folded them. She wondered what kind of state of mind he had been in while doing so.

She picked up the cotton cloth on top. In this era, bras weren’t yet common; women usually wore cotton undershirts or binding cloths.

The original owner used the latter, tightly wrapping her curves with binding cloth to conceal them.

As a modern woman, Shen Yingying had never worn anything like this. After much fumbling, she finally managed to put it on.

Instantly, her once-prominent curves were significantly reduced. The binding cloth was tight and uncomfortable.

After putting on her shirt and trousers, she began buttoning up when she suddenly caught sight of a glaring red stain on the checkered bedsheet.

Shen Yingying couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. It seemed the original owner’s memory was correct—her body was still untouched.

Even so, Shen Yingying couldn’t hide her lingering surprise. From the author’s descriptions in the book, Shen Yingying is a fickle woman. Even before being jilted by her former fiancé, she would often sneak into the woods with him.

After marrying Xie Fangzhu, she continued to look for better prospects behind his back, always aiming higher.

For a woman like this, no normal person would believe she could be pure.

But after inheriting the original host’s memories, Shen Yingying realized things weren’t entirely as they seemed.
