Winston Shaw said, “Vivi, forgive me.

You know I love you!

It was that woman who seduced me.

I promise I’ll never do it again!

Vivi…

if you leave me, I really won’t be able to survive.”

As he spoke, he seemed genuinely regretful, almost about to kneel before Vivian Bell.

If Scarlett Xavier hadn’t gone to the hospital yesterday and overheard the hospital staff discussing Winston Shaw’s situation, knowing he was penalized by the hospital and his future was uncertain, she might have believed his sincerity towards Vivian.

Scarlett walked over and said to Vivian, “Vivi, morning.”

The last time at the hospital, she had stood up for Vivian, but today Scarlett doesn’t want to get involved for now.

After all, it’s their own issue, and she believes Vivian can handle it well.

Scarlett entered, sat down, and drank some water.

Through the window, she saw Winston Shaw tugging at Vivian Bell, but in the end, Vivian ignored him and directly came inside.

He seemed to have given up and didn’t dare to follow her in.

Scarlett’s tough personality makes Winston Shaw somewhat wary of her, so he’s cautious not to act up in their shop.

At noon, Vivian was called home by her mother, and Scarlett had lunch with a few colleagues from the shop.

As they were eating, Winston Shaw appeared.

He walked over and said, “Scarlett, I need to talk to you about something.”

Before, when they were getting along well, Winston Shaw often sought out Scarlett for matters concerning Vivian, so they were quite familiar.

Moreover, she had known Winston Shaw and Vivian Bell since college.

Seeing him come to find her, Scarlett followed him out.

On the bustling street, with people coming and going, she stood to the side, expressionless, looking particularly indifferent and detached.

Winston Shaw said, “Could you talk to Vivian for me?

I really don’t want to break up with her.

You’re her best friend; she’ll definitely listen to you.”

Winston Shaw now suspects even the breakup was instigated by Scarlett, since Vivian isn’t such a decisive person.

Scarlett, staring at her fingers, listened to Winston Shaw’s words, then looked up at him.

Her gaze was very indifferent, mixed with a hint of mockery, “You want me to plead for you?”

Winston Shaw said, “Everyone tries to help reconcile, not break up.

You don’t want me and Vivian to break up, do you?”

“Why wouldn’t I want you two to break up?” Scarlett said, “Do you have any idea what you did?

Isn’t it too late to declare your love for her now?”

Seeing him today, she hadn’t even started scolding him yet, and here he comes delivering himself on a platter.

“I was just momentarily impulsive,” Winston Shaw said, “It was that woman who seduced me.

Any other man would have done the same; I merely committed a mistake all men would make.”

“Bullshit,” Scarlett said, “A jerk is a jerk; don’t drag all men down with you.

Looking for me to plead with Vivian on your behalf, you’ve come to the wrong person!

Even if Vivian wants to get back with you, I’d advise her to think it through carefully.”

Winston Shaw said, “We’ve known each other for so long, do you really have to be like this?”

“What else?” Scarlett said, “You should bear the consequences of your actions.”

Winston Shaw said, “You have no sense of empathy; it’s no wonder you’re single till now.”

He glanced at Scarlett with a speechless look, then walked away.

Scarlett: “…”

Damn it, who did my single status offend!

So, you came just to insult me, right?

As she was internally ranting, she saw Julian Rhodes getting out of a car parked by the roadside.

Looking at him alone, he doesn’t seem all that handsome, but out here, among the passers-by, he stands out distinctly.

Winston Shaw seeing him was somewhat surprised, “Dr.

Rhodes, what brings you here?

Are you here for a meal?”

Julian Rhodes said, “Got some business.”
